bareMinerals GEN NUDE lip products

My absolute favorite products from this line are the GEN NUDE Radiant lipsticks. There are twenty shades available. I have three that I was sent and I’m in love with them all. They are creamy beyond belief, moisturizing, and have just enough shine. ($20)

Every time I put one on I say it’s my favorite but I know now that they are all favorites. Every one of my 3 lipsticks looks great and feels even better.

bareMineral GEN NUDE Bubbles

BUBBLES is a light peachy pink nude. At first I thought it was pink but then the peach came through more. If I want to darken this or any of these products the GEN NUDE Under Over Lip Liners are perfect. I have this in On Point and it’s a winner.

bareMinerals On Pointe Under Over Lip Liner

HONEYBUN is called a Toasted Nude. To me this is the perfect rendition of a nude lipstick. It’s got a soft brown tone but it’s softened with a touch of mauve.

TUTU is the one I wear the most. The shade is described as a delicate mauve. I’m not a dark lipstick person and Tutu gives me color but doesn’t scream at anyone. All of these lipsticks contain Mango, cocoa and shea butters to make them as moisturizing as they are.

There are two formulas that at first appear to be gloss: GEN NUDE BUTTERCREAM LIPGLOSS and MATTE LIQUID LIPCOLOR.

bare Minerals GEN NUDE BUTTERCREAM LIPGLOSS and MATTE LIQUID LIPCOLOR.

bare Minerals GEN NUDE BUTTERCREAM LIPGLOSS and MATTE LIQUID LIPCOLOR

bareMinerals GenNude Buttercream Lipgloss are aptly named. These are less like the lip gloss you have in your collection and more like the lip butters you have. In essence they are a combination of both worlds. Available in 15 colors the shades I have are Fancy, Forbidden, and Snarky (sounds like a fun music trio). These are considered lip plumping though I have never felt a sting or tingle from them.

bareMinerals Buttercream Lipgloss in Fancy, Forbidden and Snarky

bareMinerals Buttercream Lipgloss in Fancy, Forbidden and Snarky

Fancy is the thinnest of the three I have. It’s a true light pink with golden pearl. The wand on this is different than the ones you’ll find on the matte lip colors. Forbidden is a light pink nude (I love this!!) while Snarky is rose pink with gold pearl.

bareMinerals Fancy Buttercream Lipgloss

bareMinerals Fancy Buttercream Lipgloss

These all have a light vanilla scent to them and have great active ingredients (Shea, avocado, murumuru and cupuacu butters) plus Volulip, a natural peptide that increases lip volume and supports lip hydration by locking in moisture, with no tingling sensation.

bareMinerals Gen Nude Buttercream Lipglosses in Fancy, Forbidden, and Snarky

bareMinerals Gen Nude Buttercream Lipglosses in Fancy, Forbidden, and Snarky

Last but not least are the trendy GEN NUDE MATTE LIQUID LIPCOLORS. Is there anything more popular than this texture? Everyone loves a great matte liquid lipstick and these from bareMinerals are marvelous matte without being drying. The wand/paddle applies them perfectly. It’s flat and gets my whole lip at the same time. Wait about 10 minutes before eating or drinking to really let these set.

bareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Shag

bareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Shag

Frenemy is a dark cool pink, Swag is called a blushing mauve, and Weekend is a honeyed peach pink. If these 3 shades aren’t your favorite there are 17 more. These look different on my lips once they’ve dried down than when they are still moist.

bareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag, Weekend,, and Frenemy

bareMinerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag, Weekend, and Frenemy

bareMinerals wanted these to be comfortable so they infused primer into the formula. The primer helps with color transfer as well as helping to prevent feathering. They also contain plant based waxes to keep your lips feel moisturized.

Right now at ULTA bareMinerals has a GWP of a FREE 5-pc Gorgeous All The Way Gift with any $40 bareMinerals purchase (offer valid 9/25/16-10/22/16 or while supplies last). These are also available at Sephora and with their annual discount you might want to put your favorites on your wishlist. Since the Radiant Lipsticks are my favorite, I’m checking out more shades of these.

highlight-logo

One of our favorites things about Sunday is the chance to introduce you to brands that are new to us and possibly to you. This week is a special brand because it’s a liquid lipstick that we’ve been introduced to and has made us glow with happiness.                                   #prsample

Highlight Cosmetics Pink Sapphire and Sandstone Cashmere Matte Liquid LipstickHighlight Cosmetics Pink Sapphire and Sandstone Cashmere Matte Liquid Lipstick
Highlight Cosmetics
is a new brand on the market that’s made in California. The brand consists of 10 matte Liquid Lipsticks which are all the craze right now. You can find matte lipsticks at every price point nowadays but it’s rare to find a brand that contains amazing ingredients that are not only good for your lips but also for your insides. HIGHLIGHT COSMETICS’ philosophy is “Highlight your inner beauty“. When we first read that we knew that there had to be more to this than just beautiful colors.

Just look at this list of ingredients. It would make this post too long to list all the pros about them so we’ll narrow it down:

Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Oil
improves lip softness, prevents the appearance of dry and chapped lips, has antibacterial properties

Camellia Sinensis Leaf (Green Tea) Extract
improves the moisture barrier of skin, is an antioxidant, reduces the appearance of lip inflammation

Camellia Oleifera Leaf (White Tea) Extract
Contains carotenoids and vitamins that build the appearance of damaged skin, dimishes the look of dry skin

LAMINARIA Ochroleuca (Kelp) Extract Prevents appearance of skin damage caused by the sun, aids in skin moisturization

Benefit Peptide called Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide reduces the appearance in lip wrinkle depth and volume

Now onto the two Highlight Liquid Lipsticks that we received and our reviews. See all 10 HERE.

MARCIA IS A FAN OF SANDSTONE CASHMERE

Highlight Cosmetics Sandstone Cashmere liquid lipstick

Highlight Cosmetics Sandstone Cashmere liquid lipstick

As someone who doesn’t normally choose dark lips Highlight Sandstone Cashmere is a terrific shade for me. Not everything that’s described as nude is truly nude – we all have different skin tones so that makes sense. Sandstone Cashmere though is the kind of light nude that I picture in my head when I think of nude. Highlight doesn’t describe the shades but their website gives you accurate pictures of what you’ll get.

Highlight Cosmetics Sandstone Cashmere

Highlight Cosmetics Sandstone Cashmere

This lipstick surprised me from the get go. It is the most comfortable matte I’ve ever used. It doesn’t show fine lines easily, it doesn’t crack, and it lasts. I’ve been wearing this often because of the lightweight feel of it on my lips. I don’t feel like I’m wearing lipstick and I’m not afraid to eat or drink wearing it. If I have to reapply it goes on smoothly without disturbing the color left on my lips.

Sandstone Cashmere

Sandstone Cashmere

Highlight Cosmetics Sandstone Cashmere

Highlight Cosmetics Sandstone Cashmere

While there’s a touch of pink in Sandstone Cashmere on my lips it only shows up if I use a pinker liner with it. But this goes on so smoothly and evenly that I prefer it without a liner. If you are looking for a true nude and an on trend matte, Highlight Sandstone Cashmere needs to be on your lips.

LISA IS A FAN OF PINK SAPPHIRE

Highlight Cosmetics Pink Sapphire Matte Liquid LipstickSo this Liquid Lipstick was certainly a surprise for me too. I had a heck of a time when I first tried to open it because I thought for sure it was actually a  lipstick…it took me more time than I’d like to admit to realize it was lip gloss with a twist off cap! The Pink Sapphire shade surprised me too…it looks fuchsia pink in the tube and swatched, but it is surprisingly more subtle and very pretty on.

Highlight Cosmetics Pink Sapphire Matte Liquid Lipstick

Highlight Cosmetics Pink Sapphire Matte Liquid Lipstick

I love the color and the formula impresses me too. It is extremely pigmented and wears for hours without fading or settling into lip lines. After a few hours I typically add a clear gloss over top just because I like the feel of some slip on my lips, and doing so doesn’t compromise the color or wear at all. Nice! The formula is water-resistant and it doesn’t transfer to my coffee cup or my husband’s lips, which is a huge bonus. Pink just isn’t his shade.

Highlight Cosmetics Pink Sapphire Matte Liquid Lipstick

Highlight Cosmetics Pink Sapphire Matte Liquid Lipstick

What a find – a matte liquid lipstick that has beautiful shades and excellent wear time is awesome, but one that also conditions and keeps lips soft thanks to turmeric and safflower oil is fantastic.

We are big fans of the Highlight Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick.  Be sure to check them out – we just know there is a perfect shade for you!

Getting ‘Lippy’ with Butter London Toff and Queen Vic

Are you a ‘pop of color’ person, or more of a nudist? Whatever your preference, if you love the shine of lip gloss but prefer the wear of lipstick, Butter London’s Lippy Liquid Lipstick ($18) could be just what you are looking for. I’ve been a fan for a long time and Butter London recently sent me both classic and sassy with the shades Toff and Queen Vic.

Butter London LippyAs a liquid lipstick, Lippy’s offer full coverage and lots of shine. The LIPPY Liquid Lipstick has a thick, slightly sticky texture with lots of pigment and far more staying power than a lip gloss. It’s very shiny on, and that shine lasts through most things…although like almost all lip products, it’s not going to last through a jumbo bucket of buttered popcorn.

The opaque colors definitely read more like lipstick than like lip gloss. Lippy Liquid Lipstick doesn’t dry out my lips and to me they taste and smell very slightly and pleasantly of vanilla. Personally, I think Lippy’s have a great mouth feel and slip, although I know some people prefer a less sticky texture.

Butter London Lippy in Toff

Butter London Lippy in Toff

So let’s talk color. Butter London recently released several new shades of Lippy including Tickled Pink, Bonkers, and Fruit Cake.  I was sent Toff, one of the original shades, which is a classic creamy mauve with lots of shine. It gives my lips just enough color to be a shade over nude, which I love since my naturally pale lips pretty much disappear without any lip product.

Butter London Lippy in Queen Vic

Butter London Lippy in Queen Vic

I was also sent Queen Vic, a happy, bright cranberry with a bit of sparkle. I’m not sure if this is a new shade – I know it matches the nail polish with the same name, which I see is available at Butter London online.

Butter London Queen Vic

Butter London Queen Vic

However, it looks like the Queen Vic Lippy is currently out of stock, which is a shame – I adore this shade!! It’s my current go-to for bright (but not TOO bright) lips with lots of shine.

I am anxious to try some of the new shades, especially Bonkers and Fruit Cake. I hope you can find Queen Vic, because it’s awesome…and if not, I know you can find Toff which a great everyday Lippy.  – Lisa

D. Benoit leads the way to liquid matte lips

d benoit

Matte lips are here to stay. At first we thought it was a trend that would be gone with the wind but we were obviously wrong. It’s stronger than ever and we expect it to keep on coming. Now that we’re resigned to it Beauty Info Zone is going with the flow and we’re starting that flow with D. Benoit Matte Lip Colour, Lux Collection.

D. Benoit Liquid Matte Lipstick

D. Benoit Liquid Matte Lipstick

D. Benoit Cosmetics Inc is a company based in California, a product of the dreams, cosmetic creativity, and passion of its founder, C. Marie Danzy. D. Benoit Cosmetics. High-end custom-made cosmetics with a not so high-end price tag was the vision C. Marie had when she began planning D. Benoit Cosmetics. With 9 years as an Investment Banker, our founder used what she knew about finance and business structure to figure out a way to do just that.

“I truly believe every woman is entitled to some amount of luxury. D Benoit’s vision is to be affordable for all, without compromising quality” says CEO C. Marie Danzy.

The name D. Benoit is derived from Danzy’s French background and inspired by her profound love of her grandfather who passed away from cancer. He was of French heritage.

“I remember my grandfather teaching me the importance of doing what you loved and being good…no being the best at it. It was that passion that encouraged me to resign from my cushy job and devote my life to my dream. Cosmetics. I hope to give you a product you will love as much as I do. D. Benoit’s products are sourced, manufactured, and made in the US” continues Ms. Danzy.

Customers can support PETAs crusade for a cruelty free world through our Beauty without cruelty program. Clients can choose from a full line of bold pigments and shades while supporting animal rights. Some of our products are vegan friendly and 100% of products are cruelty-free. In purchasing D. Benoit, you are also supporting job development in the US.

Danzy states, “We believe in quality and want our customers to fall in love with each new product we develop and then fall head over heels when they find out it is all cruelty free! D. Benoit Cosmetics was created by a woman, designed by woman, and operated by women.”

We were sent all 6 of the current Liquid Matte Lipsticks to share with you. These lipsticks don’t test on animals; they use high end avocado, jojoba oil and other essential oils in their formula and they are gluten free. There are no parabens in any of their products.  The most important thing to know about wearing these lipsticks is that you should be applying in thin even layers. If you apply these too thickly they will crack which is the opposite of the beautiful lips that D. Benoit can provide for you. It’s also crucial with a matte liquid lip to be sure you’ve exfoliated your lips so you end up with smooth lips before applying.

MARCIA’S D. BENOIT SHADES:

I have 3 of the Matte Liquid Lipsticks from D. Benoit that I’m wearing for my trendy “Kylie” lip. Two of the shades are shades I’d pick out in a minute, the third is beautiful but not exactly for me.

D. Benoit

D. Benoit

Chocolate Tsunami is the shade that’s not a Marcia shade yet it’s a beautiful chocolate with a warm chocolate. My skin is way too fair and cool for this to work for me but I appreciate its beauty.

D. Benoit Chocolate Tsunami

D. Benoit Chocolate Tsunami

Perfection II is the chameleon of the bunch. In some of my photos it appears to be a mauved brown while in others it’s a lighter warm mauve. I’m very careful when I apply Perfection II since it’s darker than I usually wear; I make sure my lips are well exfoliated and take my time applying this in a thin coat so that it looks more mauve. I think Perfection II is the most universal of all 6 shades and one that most people can wear. I also think this is the shade that is the most popular for the KJ look.

D. Benoit clockwise from box: Chocolate Tsunami, Perfection II, In the Bare II

D. Benoit clockwise from box: Chocolate Tsunami, Perfection II, In the Bare II

My favorite of these is In the Bare II, a cool toned light pink. I regularly choose colors in this tone since I feel it’s the most flattering on my skintone. In the Bare II is the one that I’d repurchase.

D. Benoit In the Bare II

D. Benoit In the Bare II

I was surprised that these were so comfortable to wear. I also liked the feeling of not thinking about my lip color and having to reapply it. Once it dries to its matte finish it lasts for at least 5 hours. But I don’t have to reapply since it fades down to a stain.

LISA’S D. BENOIT SHADES:

D. Benoit Matte Liquid Lip Color

My three shades were French Merlot II, Mon Cherie, and Temptation. Honestly, matte lips are a challenge for me – my lips are thin and matte lips aren’t usually flattering for me. While all three of my shades are beautiful, two of them are standout colors that even I can wear.

D. Benoit Temptation

D. Benoit Temptation

Temptation is a deep true red that some people can absolutely rock. It makes me think Gwen Stefani. This is the kind of shade that makes teeth look whiter and lips look so sexy…unless they are as thin as mine. This shade is too dark for me, but I know lots of you lucky ladies will love this.

D. Benoit French Merlot II

D. Benoit French Merlot II

French Merlot II is a softer shade of red, actually more of a coral shade. I love this; it’s easily my favorite shade of the three. I don’t have anything quite like it, and it’s so pretty for spring. The doe foot wand, by the way, is soft yet quite firm and rather narrow, so it makes for extremely accurate application. These matte liquid lip glosses dry down completely so you can’t exactly apply them without a mirror or a care in the world. With the wand it’s easy to get a precise application that doesn’t need any sort of liner.

D. Benoit Mon Cherie

D. Benoit Mon Cherie

I also love the Mon Cherie shade, which is a beautiful pink that leans purple when it’s dry. In the tube it looks like a Barbie pink, but it’s actually more of a berry pink.  It’s an elegant, grown up shade that is definitely flattering.

D. Benoit Mon Cherie and French Merlot II

D. Benoit Mon Cherie and French Merlot II

If you want a terrific matte lip look, don’t forget to check out the Matte Liquid Lip Colors by D. Benoit. These liquid mattes have a terrific, easy to apply formula and come in gorgeous shades that are right on trend.

We’re taking a peek at Peeks Cosmetics lip formulas

Peeks Cosmetics lips

Peeks Cosmetics lips

A new brand that we expect you’ll be hearing about is PEEKS COSMETICS. This fun company makes something for all cosmetics lovers. The Beauty Info Zone team decided to concentrate on their variety of lip products and we were sent quite a few to share with you. All Peeks Cosmetics products are gluten-free and cruelty-free which sweetens our smile.

Among the lip products from Peeks are Matte Lipsticks, Lip Gloss, and Lip Blasters. Colors range from soft to wild. The textures of the products make them easy to wear and look great on our lips.

MARCIA’S LIPS WEAR:

Love Thang and Quik Sand Matte Lipsticks

Love Thang and Quik Sand Matte Lipsticks

I profess all the time that matte lipsticks aren’t my favorite and I still mean it. But I really enjoy wearing Love Thang from Peeks. This is a very soft nude with pink undertones. It won’t suit a lot of people but it suits me perfectly. I don’t draw attention to my lips but I want something that will give me a finished appearance. While Love Thang and Quik Sand (light brown) are matte, they are totally comfortable and feel moisturizing on my lips. I can even wear them when I haven’t prepped my lips with an exfoliator and my lips don’t look flaky!

Love Thang and Quik Sand Matte Lipsticks

If you wear blue lipstick I think that After Dark would be amazing. At my age though I’d be put in the ER to see what’s wrong with me!

Peeks After Dark

Peeks After Dark

Lip Glosses in Control and Dollhouse are shiny and very hydrating. Lip glosses from Peeks are enriched with Vitamins A, C, and E so you aren’t just looking good, you are helping your lips retain moisture. Control has the prettiest iridescent look, I love twirling the tube to see the orchid shade transform. This lovely orchid shade can be layered if you want a darker look. Dollhouse looks more opaque in the tube than it is on my lips. This is a soft, very shiny pink that is quite light on its own but will enhance most any lipstick. Actually my favorite look is to apply Dollhouse over Love Thang. My lips look juicy without being the least bit sticky.

One more category of lip products from Peeks: Lip Blasters. These are high intensity colors that are loaded with pigment. There’s a minty smell to them which I notice for a few short minutes.

Peek Cosmetics Purple Kisses Lip Blaster

Peek Cosmetics Purple Kisses Lip Blaster

I have Lip Blaster in Purple Kisses which I’d describe as a liquid lipstick. The Lip Blaster is very long wearing especially compared to the Lip Gloss. This formula is my favorite of the three. While they call Purple Kisses a light purple, I call it a deeper violet. It’s the texture of this that makes me want other shades like Sexy (soft pink) and Jersey Flower (lavender). As pretty as Purple Kisses is, it’s even better with a light coat of Control to make a va-va-voom lipshade.

LISA’S LIPS WEAR:

Peek Lipsticks are really, really nice – and the colors surprised the heck out of me.  Yes, they are matte lipsticks, but they have a velvety texture and aren’t too drying.

Peeks Chocolate Cake and My Way Lipsticks

Peeks Chocolate Cake and My Way Lipsticks

Chocolate Cake is a pretty brown that I never would have thought I could wear in a million years. And, ironically enough, that isn’t me wearing it in the photo! It’s my daughter – she has gorgeous lips so you can see the color much better. It looks fabulous on her and I wear it too…in fact I can’t believe how much I reach for this.

Peeks Chocolate Cake Lipstick swatch

Peeks Chocolate Cake Lipstick

My Way is a beautiful burgundy shade that veers toward berry on me. This is a typical ‘Lisa’ shade and I love that I can do the trendy matte thing without my lips looking dry, which can be very aging.

Peeks My Way Lipstick swatch

In terms of lip gloss, I went with two extremes – extreme matte and extreme shimmer. The Lip Blasters have a mega punch of color and intensity. These stain the lips so once the shine wears off, the color is still there. They have a pleasant minty taste that I like.

Peeks Jersey Flower Lip Gloss and Sexy Lip Gloss

Peeks Jersey Flower Lip Gloss and Sexy Lip Blasters

Peeks Jersey Flower Lip Gloss and Sexy Lip Gloss

Peeks Jersey Flower Lip Gloss and Sexy Lip Blasters

Jersey Flower is a matte lavender shade that I have to admit is not for me, although I need to experiment with it more and pair it with other shades. My 16 year old daughter rocks it by itself, though.

Sexy is a truly stunning shimmery pink that I love love love. I wear this all the time, although I have to be careful because the shimmer can be a little too intense for daytime.

The Lipsticks and the Lip Gloss are $12, and the Lip Blasters are $14. We both love our first peek at Peeks Cosmetics — this line is definitely worth a look!

Are Kismet Liquid Lipsticks your destiny?

In a word….YES. Kismet Liquid Lipsticks are aptly named. You want these in your future!!

Kismet Liquid Lipsticks

I was recently sent two shades from the Kismet Liquid Lipstick line and I just can’t quit wearing them. They are gorgeous and they have an amazing texture and wear. There are four shades and I want them all!!

Kismet Liquid Lipsticks

Kismet Cosmetics was created by Caitlin Picou, who consulted with Louisiana fashion bloggers and designers to create a line that could be an extension of your wardrobe. The Liquid Lipstick Succulent Collection has four shades. The four shades together are $80 or each shade can be purchased separately for $22. Speakeasy is a plummy red, Flamingo is a bright pink, Elope is a classic nude, and On Point is a classic pink.

These Liquid Lipsticks are truly stunning. They are highly pigmented, creamy, and long-lasting. Kismet describes them as, “full coverage of a lipstick with a creamy and luxurious application of a wand. Advanced polymers and intense pigments give you long-lasting, brilliant color with high shine. A natural blend of essential extracts and resin help provide soft and supple lips while Vitamins C & E condition and heal.”

Kismet Elope

Kismet Elope

Elope is considered to be a ‘nude’ but it has a lot of pink in it. I absolutely love it…what a gorgeous shade!

Kismet On Point

Kismet On Point

On Point is a bright pink but a very wearable one. This is one that needs to be applied carefully because it’s easy to over apply…but boy it is beautiful.

Kismet Liquid Lipsticks

Kismet Liquid Lipsticks are extremely impressive. I’m so glad I met my latest loves with Elope and On Point and I know that Speakeasy and Flamingo are my destiny!!  Even better, Kismet is now offering free first-class shipping through the end of October.  Take advantage and make sure these liquid lipsticks are in your destiny too!  – Lisa

Think Pink with Smashbox lips

Think pink

Think pink

Not enough attention is given to pink lips but I want to change that. Actually I want to give attention to all things pink therefore you’ll start seeing my THINK PINK posts with some favorite pink cosmetic items.

I’m starting with Smashbox because they’ve created my new favorite lip product and with luck they sent it to me. I really wouldn’t have known about it if Smashbox hadn’t sent today’s goodies.

Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer in Flushed

Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer in Flushed

SMASHBOX BE LEGENDARY LONG WEAR LIP LACQUER in FLUSHED has become my sidekick or “lip kick” lately. This liquid lipstick is with me every day. There’s something about this that has grabbed my heart. Basically I’m a lipstick girl. I like gloss and used to wear them constantly but as I’ve gotten older I’m more excited about lipstick. The Lip Lacquer has the best of both worlds. It feels like a lipstick on and yet it has a shine to it like a gloss. It’s moisturizing and not the least bit sticky.

source smashbox.com Be Legendary Lip Lacquer shades

source smashbox.com Be Legendary Lip Lacquer shades

The Be Legendary Lip Lacquers ($24) are available in 20 shades so even though I’m a pink person I’m guessing you’ll find one that’s just right for your red, coral, nude or wine passion. FLUSHED is described as a ‘soft rose gold’ on Sephora but I find it to be a cool but not cold pink that looks right with just about everything. These are long lasting and they say you’ll get 8 hours wear out of them. I don’t get 8 hours wear out of anything but I can get almost that far if I don’t eat, drink or kiss!

Smashbox Lip Lacquer in Flushed

Smashbox Lip Lacquer in Flushed

As a lipstick lover I have always loved Smashbox lipsticks. It was one of the first brands I binged on. Their lipsticks are smooth, moisturizing, don’t settle in the lines on my lips and best of all they are fragrance-free. My experience with BE LEGENDARY LIPSTICK in POUT ($20) has been wonderful. It’s a bubblegum pink which may not work for everyone but it’s the pink of my dreams. I have some natural tint to my lips and I don’t feel washed out when wearing Pout. Smashbox lipsticks contain Shea Butter for moisture and Vitamins C and E for protection.

To change things up and make these lipsticks and lip lacquers more versatile there’s Smashbox ALWAYS SHARP LIP LINER ($20) that comes in 16 shades. I have both Crimson (for my grown up lips) and Shocking Pink that helps deepen my bubble gum lips to something more ladylike. Crimson is a blue red while Shocking Pink is a vibrant hot pink.

Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liners in Shocking Pink and Crimson

Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liners in Shocking Pink and Crimson

Sharp Lip Liners in Crimson and Shocking Pink

Sharp Lip Liners in Crimson and Shocking Pink

I love that these twist up and I’ll never have to worry about breaking them with a sharpener. These are water resistant too. I like to line first, fill in and then blot that down. Next I’ll apply the lipstick or lip lacquer. This is how I get any longevity. When the lip color starts wearing away, I still have a stain left.

Three great lip products, four great colors and one pair of lips that love to wear pink = success. Have you treated yourself to any Smashbox lip products lately? — Marcia
