Are you looking for the absolute best serum? Try The Jojoba Company Absolute Serum then

The Jojoba Company 100% Natural Absolute Serum

The Jojoba Company 100% Natural Absolute Serum

The Jojoba Company Absolute Serum is a big departure from my typical skincare recommendations. When I first put this on my face I was totally taken aback by the fragrance of it. The fragrance needs to be addressed first for me since I normally avoid scents other than citrus on my face so this is really an anomaly for me. What I notice is a more masculine scent, it’s more herbal and outdoorsy than I use. BUT, and this is important to note, it dissipates in a minute or two and then I notice nothing. (press sample)

I’ve reviewed other Jojoba Company products because I believe in the company. It’s cruelty free and uses nothing artificial in their ingredients. Actually the name of this is 100% Natural Absolute Serum.

Here’s what they have to share about the benefits of Absolute Serum:

Benefits: Absolute Serum helps reduce the visible signs of lines and wrinkles and firm up the appearance of slackened skin naturally. The di-peptide carnosine in conjunction with hyaluronic acid and silymarin, a potent antioxidant from milk thistle, work together to aid collagen production and refine skin smoothness and expression lines. Skin is relaxed, less lined, intensely re-plumped and visibly smoothed. It combines Australian Kakadu plum and lillypilly, high in vitamin C and deeply nourishing.

Now what do I notice? First I use serums daily and often layer them. I think serums have contributed greatly to the elasticity and condition of my skin. As one of the older bloggers around I don’t want my attitude nor my face to give that away. Jojoba Company products have helped keep at least my face looking younger than my birth certificate shows.

Absolute Serum isn’t sticky on my skin. Since it’s such a powerful anti-oxidant serum you don’t need a lot so the bottle will last for you. I apply this at night prior to moisturizer. During the day I’ll use it first and then apply a Vitamin C serum over it, let those dry and continue with sunscreen and moisturizer. It doesn’t interfere with makeup. If a product balls up under foundation that means it’s not good for my daytime routine. I can use Absolute Serum day or night. I’m not sure if my skin is less lined  but it definitely feels smooth. Most importantly, I believe that this pure product is doing something wonderful for my skin. And seeing is believing.  —  Marcia

The perfect boyfriend of hand creams: The Jojoba Company Lemon and Coconut Hand Cream

The Jojoba Company Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream

The Jojoba Company Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream

Every once in a while a product comes along that just has everything – you know, like a guy who seems to good to be true because he’s funny, great looking, has a terrific job, and is so sweet to his mom. It almost makes you afraid that the bubble is going to burst and he’s going to have some fatal flaw like he hates cats, or he never puts the toilet seat down, or his favorite party trick is belching the ABC’s. I kept waiting for the bubble to burst on my perfect hand lotion, The Jojoba Company Lemon and Coconut Hand Cream ($22.95), but happily this bubble shows no signs of popping.

The Jojoba Company Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream – love the packaging!!

The Jojoba Company is Australian, and their products come from their own farms in sunny New South Wales. The packaging of the Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream is truly beautiful. I am the type who throws the outer carton away…I test way too many products to also have the boxes lying around. But I can’t bring myself to throw this one out, with the gorgeous origami-style flower on the top.  It’s just so pretty!! And I love the substantial but lightweight pink tube.

The lemon and coconut scent is fantastic. It’s definitely tropical and dreamy, but it’s also light so it isn’t overwhelming. The lotion is also lightweight, non-greasy, and super hydrating with lots of vitamin E and 100% jojoba grown on The Jojoba Company farm. Other great ingredients include hydrating vitamins A and D, softening coconut oil, hydrating shea butter, and the great antioxidant pomegranate. It has no harmful detergents, chemicals, or parabens, and no artificial fragrances or colors.

What makes this hand cream truly unique is that the sustainable sourced jojoba is full of wax esters that are molecularly comparable to ones in young and healthy skin. This means that skin actually recognizes the wax esters and allows them to deliver the wonderful hydration even more deeply than typical hand creams.

The Jojoba Company Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream really is the perfect boyfriend of hand creams. Check it out online in the states at www.thejojobacompany.com or in Australia at www.thejojobacompany.com.au.  – Lisa

100% Natural Australian Jojoba Oil

100% Natural Australian Jojoba Oil

You’ve heard about jojoba oil over and over again but do you really know what it is? It took The Jojoba Company sending me their 100% Natural Australian Jojoba Oil to really understand the ingredient. I knew it was good for my skin but there was so much more I didn’t know about.

Since we call it an oil and it looks like an oil we expect it to be an oil, but Jojoba is actually a wax that is similar to the wax esters that our skin and eyes produce. According to The Jojoba Company “That means that skin lets jojoba deliver its goodness all the way down to the cellular and matrix levels. It is naturally antibiotic, antiviral, antifungal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and hypoallergenic.  Jojoba also contains the healing vitamins A, D and E and Omega 6 and 9 essential fatty acids. Jojoba does not oxidize and is very stable.”

Companies use jojoba to help carry their other ingredients into the skin. This 100% Natural Australian Jojoba is the real thing though. 100% pure. The ingredients are pretty simple: Simmondsia Chiensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil. That’s it. This is grown on the the Jojoba Company’s farms in New South Wales.

This is perfect to have in your house, it sure is for me. It has a variety of uses and you’ll probably find even more.

1) Wrinkles and prevention of wrinkles:  This can be used on young and old(er). If you are lucky enough not to have any wrinkles that have started then use this Jojoba on your face to prevent them. We lose moisture in our skin starting in our 20’s even if you have oily skin. Protecting your skin with this helps keep it supple. If you are already in the process of seeing wrinkles you want this so the jojoba will recreate the wax moisture barrier in skin, plump live skin cells, and smooth wrinkles.

2)  Dry and sensitive skin often looks flaky and and dull but using The Jojoba Company’s Jojoba Oil helps add back in the natural moisture barrier.

3)  Acne can be helped by this too even though it seems counterproductive. The Jojoba Company taught me that we break out from an over production of sebum. This gets the wax esters that are needed back in your skin to help with the irritation caused by blackheads, whiteheads and acne. “Jojoba kills the five major germs of skin including acne bacteria. Applied to active acne, it soothes painful areas, reduces inflammation and redness, enters the skin pore and kills the acne bacteria, then dissolves the sebum plug and gets sebum liquid and flowing again.” So this is great for spot treating.

Other uses are for rashes, burns, scars, and stretch marks (oy vey). I’ve used this on my hair to give it some shine and keep it from getting frizzy. Afterwards I rub it into my hands to keep my skin moist without any greasiness. Plus it’s great for cuticles. It’s pretty amazing stuff.

To make this particular Australian Jojoba even better the company is vegan friendly, gluten and dairy free, not tested on animals, has no PEGs or mineral oil or Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. And I’m thrilled to say it’s fragrance free so I have used this freely and happily. If that’s not enough the Jojoba Company is whale friendly. Many companies use Spermaceti which is harvested from Sperm Whales but using the Jojoba Company products you are helping whales swim freely.
