Wen Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin Cleansing Conditioner, Nourishing Mousse, and Replenishing Treatment Mist

How do we know it’s fall? Pumpkin is everywhere!!!! But not all pumpkin products are equal. Some pumpkin products deserve major celebration…like Wen Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin Cleansing Conditioner and styling products. The Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin scent is a limited edition that comes out just for the fall and winter season. I love love love the way it smells!

Wen Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin

The scent of Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin doesn’t actually smell much like pumpkin to me, but it does smell like fall! I smell honey, cloves, and nutmeg. The fragrance is not too strong, but just enough to smell like cooler weather, falling leaves, and bonfires after football games. It’s lovely and a wonderful way to change up your WEN routine for the season.

Are you new to WEN? If so, I really recommend that you give this system a try. It’s been around for 16 years now. It was definitely a ground breaking concept when it first came out – not washing your hair but conditioning it clean. I remember that back in the day what finally sold me and convinced me to try the product was that Chaz Dean, creator of Wen, decided to use transparency as a marketing tool. He is very up front in his infomercial that most hair companies use all kinds of other products they don’t disclose to get the models looking fabulous, and in his infomercial, the only thing they used was the Cleansing Conditioner.

Wen Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin Cleansing Conditioner

My hair is oily at the roots, dry at the ends, and color-treated. If I wash too often, my color fades very quickly. Not enough moisture and my hair gets very frizzy. If my hair isn’t cleansed well enough, it looks greasy and flat. So many issues…and for some reason I thought that the WEN product didn’t clean, it just conditioned. I was wrong. When used correctly, it does clean – hence the name  ‘Cleansing Conditioner’.

The WEN cleansing method is quite different from the way I usually cleanse my hair. The major difference is that you are instructed to use a LOT of product – 30 (yes, I said 30) pumps for shoulder length, medium textured hair like mine. Before application I really, REALLY soak my hair with water and then apply equal amounts of WEN to the crown, nape, and either side of my hair. After application the product must be worked in well – by massaging the scalp, raking and combing it through the hair, and twisting sections and just smooshing it in. I then leave it on while performing the other parts of my shower ritual (shaving, exfoliating, etc.) before rinsing it out. WEN advises to rinse VERY well- a friend and WEN user suggested I rinse about as long as I usually do with any shampoo- and then do it again. After rinsing, I apply another pump or 2 as leave-in conditioner.

Wen Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin Nourishing Mousse

This was my first time trying the WEN® Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin Nourishing Mousse. It adds lots of volume and body to hair, as well as a good amount of shine.  Plus it doesn’t make my hair sticky or clumpy, which a lot of mousse products tend to do since my hair is really fine. Just apply this to wet hair before blow drying for beautiful body and shiny locks.

Wen Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin Replenishing Treatment Mist

The WEN Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin Replenishing Treatment Mist has a wonderful, vanilla/honey/nutmeg smell. I use this in the AM on days I don’t wash my hair to ‘re-invigorate’ my locks prior to styling. It makes my hair feel moist but not greasy, and the smell is very uplifting as well. The bottle suggests using it on face and body too, but I save it for my hair.

You can purchase WEN products at Chaz Dean’s salon in Hollywood, California, on his website (www.chazdean.com) and through QVC.com.  Get yourself some Fall Vanilla White Pumpkin  while you still can!!- Lisa

Your great hair day awaits with Ms. Pompadour!

In the sea of hair products out there, every line needs to stand out. Ms. Pompadour does on several counts. First, it has a fabulous name – I mean, who doesn’t want their hair care to be named Ms. Pompadour?? Besides that, Ms. Pompadour is known for having products with salon grade ingredients that leave hair silky soft and looking fantastic every single day. They ship super fast and have a 30 day money back guarantee. And, if you refer friends, you can earn free products and discounts.

Ms. Pompadour comes from the same guys who created Mister Pompadour, Zack Henry and Matt Davis. Women loved the men’s line and demanded a line specifically for them, so Zack and Matt got busy and created Ms. Pompadour. I tested four different items:  The Strengthening Showering Experience Shampoo and Conditioner, the Leave-In Conditioner, and the Dry Shampoo. Did Ms. Pompadour leave me with a great hair day every day? Read on to find out!

Ms. Pompadour Strengthening Shower Experience:  Shampoo and Conditioner

Ms. Pompadour Shampoo and Conditioner

The Strengthening Shower Experience Shampoo and Conditioner Set ($32) is perfect for my fine hair. My hair is long, about mid-back, and it tends to tangle and break. It definitely needs strengthening as well as moisturizing. The Strengthening Shampoo and Conditioner do this without weighing my fine strands down, which is tough to find. They also correct the pH level, so my hair is left extremely shiny and very smooth.  I love the results and am happy to say this duo gives me a great hair day every time and will definitely be a repurchase.

Ms. Pompadour Leave-In Conditioner

The Leave-In Conditioner ($21) is more serious stuff for hair that needs extra attention. It has tons of Pro Vitamin B5 to smooth broken strands, repair damaged cuticles, and prevent hair from breaking in the future. It does a very nice job of getting rid of frizz, although I did find it left my fine hair a little more weighted down than usual. So, I use this when I want to go with a straight style and it’s perfect. I like to alternate this with the regular Strengthening Conditioner.

Ms. Pompadour Dry Shampoo

Ms. Pompadour Dry Shampoo

I think I was most excited to try the Dry Shampoo ($19.50) because nothing makes my life easier than an awesome dry shampoo. I am always running late and dry shampoo saves my butt more times than I care to count. The Ms. Pompadour Dry Shampoo is an interesting one…it’s probably the wettest dry shampoo I have ever used. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It just means that it is imperative you use this correctly to get the best results – and if you do so, the results are fabulous. I found that I need to hold the can a good 10 inches away from my scalp. I spray it on my part and around my hair-line, then section off areas and spray my scalp. Then I clip up my hair and let it dry while I run around like a crazy woman trying to get ready. After 5 minutes, my hair is perfect – clean, smells fresh, tons of volume, looks amazing. And yes, it’s another great hair day!

Overall, I am very impressed with Ms. Pompadour.  Great products that give me great hair at great prices. You can find this line at mspompadour.com.  – Lisa

3 Sprays to make your day starring Static Schmatic, Touch, and Pure Brush

Static Schmatic, PUREBrush, Touch

There are 3 companies that make sprays that have enhanced my time lately. When I first received these I was looking forward to trying them but honestly didn’t expect to like them quite as much as I do. It’s great to have the opportunity to introduce you to these so that you can learn to love them too.

Statis Schmatic for hair and clothes

Let’s start with Static Schmatic because I totally love the name. This is an all natural company started by a mother and daughter team to solve the problem that static was messing with their lives whether it was their hair, their clothes, or even their pets. Once you try one of their products you’ll see why this all American company has taken off.

Static Schmatic for Hair – ooooh! smooth!

Since this is a beauty blog I’ll start with Static Schmatic for hair. This is an all natural anti-static spray that helps smooth down those flyaways whether from static, weather, or just your hair misbehaving. It’s so incredibly easy to use since all you have to do is shake it and then spray it onto a brush or comb, or even your hands, to work it through.

Static Schmatic for Hair – don’t be so clingy!!

What’s to love about it? (insert heart emoji here) There’s no fragrance, there are no ingredients to weigh your hair down, there’s no stickiness at all. I fell in love with it the first time I used it and continue to fall back in love every day that I spray this onto my hair. The ingredients are simple but effective: distilled water, plant based soap, coconut oil, glycerin & salt. The only way you’ll know this is on your hair is by the way you look without those flyaways and with extra shine! It’s become a regular in my life.

Static Schmatic for Clothes

Static Schmatic for Clothes is such an improvement on the product I used to use when teaching. There’s no aerosol to destroy the environment, there’s no disgusting plastic smell to destroy my nose. While Static Schmatic for Clothes does have a light outdoorsy fragrance at first, it’s gone in seconds. My husband didn’t notice the scent at all and the company calls it fragrance free. This is what I needed back in the days that I had to wear a slip under my skirt/dress. Oh I’m so glad those days are gone.

Static Schmatic for Clothes

There are exactly 5 ingredients and they are all natural. Anything that has layers can use a spritz of Static Schmatic in between to keep them separated. Those sexy clingy clothes can look unsexy if they cling awkardly. Just spritz and it’s your secret. Since there are no chemicals there’s nothing to build up any residue. While it won’t take the place of a washing machine, it will help your clothes look and feel fresher.

The next item that you really truly need in your life is PUREBRUSH, a dry shampoo for your cosmetic brushes. It’s genius. We use dry shampoo all the time and now there’s a product that will clean your brushes but more importantly sanitize them. This uses Germblock technology to sanitize in minutes.

Another easy peasy product to use. Shake, hold the can about 2″ from your brushes (I lay them on a towel first) and spray. You want to coat the brush fibers thoroughly but that only takes a few seconds. Then tap it onto the towel and stroke your brush to remove all the bacteria, germs, and excess color. If you haven’t washed your brushes in a while you’ll probably have to do this twice but with 250 sprays in the can that’s not a problem.

Right now it’s available on the PUREbrush website but will be available at Ulta soon. You know I have to talk about fragrance – it’s just how I am. Well it does have a very slight fragrance that’s very pleasant. I can smell it when I spray it but it doesn’t make my brushes smell at all. And you know I sniffed them a lot!

Touch Sanitizing Germblock

Speaking of Germblock Technology let’s learn about Touch Sanitizing Germblock Hand Protection. We’ve all tried Purell and other gels to help sanitize dirty hands but it’s being found out that they aren’t as effective as we were told. Touch is a unique hand sanitizing mist that is clinically proven to remove 99.9% of harmful germs, bacteria, fungi, and viruses. This gentle mist dries in seconds without your hands feeling sticky one bit.

Touch Sanitizing Germblock Unscented

Touch not only sanitizes but it has essential oils to soften your hands. There’s no alcohol in the formula so it’s safer for you and for young ones. My 3.5 year old fights me now on anything to do with the bathroom but she’s happy to open her hands for this spray.

Touch Sanitizing Germblock

With 4 fragrances to chose from (Mint Green Tea Aloe, Tropical Breeze, Ocean Mist, and Unscented) you’ll be able to find a favorite easily. This retails for $5.99 and is available at CVS, Meijer, and Walgreens so add it to your list.

Touch™ packaging

Now that you know my 3 sprays that save my day, which will you be wanting first? It’s hard to recommend just one since they all have a place in my life and routine. Great products that I know you’d love.  —  Marcia

Here’s a bonus for you. On the Static Schmatic website you can enter your email in the pop up box and you’ll receive a coupon for a free bottle of Static Schmatic for clothes. Free is always good!

Goldwell Kerasilk brings shine and control even to the hair we hate

Goldwell Haircare is the creator of many fine products including color, styling, shampoo/conditioner, dry shampoo, and the list goes on. It’s one of the highest regarded names in hair care available today. We were given the opportunity to try out the Kerasilk line which we were thrilled about. Lisa already knew and loved Goldwell but it’s a new line for Marcia. Kerasilk has unique ingredients like engineered Keratin and lightweight silk that contribute to the integrity of the products.

Kerasilk is the new, revolutionary luxury hair care line that delivers long-lasting hair transformations providing beauty, strength and protection. The secret: the KT3 combination of engineered Keratin, lightweight silk and high-performing KeraShape Technology with Glyoxilic Acid.

Goldwell Kerasilk Reconstruct and Control

Goldwell Kerasilk Reconstruct and Control

Little did I know that when I met Lisa for our monthly meetup that she would be drooling when I handed over her Goldwell Kerasilk product to use and review. I think if we’d been close to my house she would have driven over to take mine away from me. Even though I’ve heard of Goldwell and wanted to try the line, it just never happened for me. But now I have to hide my two goodies from my pal!

GOLDWELL KERASILK RECONSTRUCT RESTORATIVE BALM is the daily balm from them and it’s doing wonders for my hair. I like to get my hair professionally straightened but it’s been over a year since I’ve had the time or money to do so. Therefore a product known for its innovative use of keratin is something I appreciate.

Goldwell Kerasilk NEW Reconstruct Restorative Balm

Goldwell Kerasilk NEW Reconstruct Restorative Balm

Since I use heat on my hair daily I welcome this new version of Reconstruct as it helps with the severe frizzies as well as protects my hair from that heat. It has a fragrance that doesn’t last long (although I’ll notice it later if my hair gets damp) and it helps me wet brush through my hair after applying it. Not only that but it has color protection to it also. It’s not a very thick balm but I don’t need much more than a flat quarter size to get my shoulder length hair ready for drying. It can be used on dry hair but I haven’t tried it that way. My hair stays smooth and managed throughout the day.

GOLDWELL KERASILK CONTROL INTENSIVE SMOOTHING MASK is my heavy-duty babe. This is for the hair I hate – frizzy, out of control, and just plain fugly. But after a weekly dose of this mask my hair is back to smoothness again.

Goldwell Kerasilk Control Intensive Smoothing Mask

Goldwell Kerasilk Control Intensive Smoothing Mask

I appreciate this smoothing mask more than I can say. My hair becomes shiny and easy to style with it. I can feel it protecting my hair from heat. I notice less fragrance from Control than I do with Reconstruct, surely because I wash it out.

Goldwell Kerasilk Control Intensive Smoothing Mask with its spatula

Goldwell Kerasilk Control Intensive Smoothing Mask with its spatula

Directions say to apply this to wet or towel dried hair, leave it in for 5-10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. I do it all in one step in the shower so on the days I’m going to use Control I wash my hair first, apply this mask and then keep my head out of the water. I leave it in for at least 5 minutes (more if my shower doesn’t decide to run out of warm water), then rinse. I personally don’t use the balm on the same day but use another one so that my nose won’t get overwhelmed.

Goldwell Kerasilk Control Intensive Smoothing Mask

Goldwell Kerasilk Control Intensive Smoothing Mask

See that cool super size spatula? It comes nestled in the top of the jar lid so that your fingers don’t contaminate the product – or in my case, get the mask under my fingernails. You can see too that it’s thick but not too thick. You know you are getting more enrichment from this intensive mask than you would from a conditioner.

My results are great with both products. Great enough that I’m not inviting Lisa over to my new house unless I hide these away.

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

Oh yeah…when I saw this, I looked at Marcia and said, “I have literally spent THOUSANDS of dollars on Goldwell Kerasilk products!! They are amazing!!!” Then I demanded that she hand over every new product we get from here on out. We shall see if she honors my demands!

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

Repower Volume Foam Conditioner is definitely different from any hair product I have ever tried before. I thought it was a hair mousse…then I thought it was leave-in conditioner. But it’s neither. It’s a foam conditioner that is applied to wet hair after shampooing. You leave it in for two minutes, then rinse.

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

This is what I consider a specialty hair product. It’s not going to work for everyone. It works for me, because I have fine hair that tends to be limp. It needs some volume and a little ‘oomph’. If you have fine hair, you will love this – it gives hair texture, body, and resilience without weighing it down. What it doesn’t do is make hair soft and shiny, so if that’s what you want, check out the products Marcia reviewed (and is giving to me because SHE PROMISED ME!!!)

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Foam Conditioner

I definitely had fun using the Repower Volume Foam Conditioner.  I mean, just look at that foam….it looks like shaving cream, whipped cream, and hair mousse all got together and had a baby! I sooo wanted to give myself a Santa mustache and beard just for fun before I used it properly. And since there were no witnesses, I’m not admitting to anything.

Ultimately, I had lots of volume and texture without having to use any other styling products. Goldwell Kerasilk is a tremendous line with hair products that address every hair need that exists, so be sure to take a look and see what they have to offer that will turn the hair you hate into the hair you love.

éprouvage proves hair can look its best in any season

There’s only one thing that I can think of that makes éprouvage a difficult brand to use – I don’t know how to pronounce its name! Other than that I like everything about it. As a woman with hopefully straight hair I’m looking for a haircare line that is smoothing, helps with color treated hair, fights the frizz, and is working to prevent breakage. éprouvage Smoothing Shampoo and Smoothing Conditioner has fulfilled those promises.

éprouvage smoothing shampoo and conditioner

éprouvage is an anti-aging haircare line with different categories of hair products. You can buy their Fortifying line, their Gentle Volume line, their Reparative line, and more at Ulta. Products are reasonably priced at about $15 and $16 for 8.45 fl oz of shampoo and conditioner.

Newly released is the Smoothing line which is right up my alley. éprouvage uses “Progressive Plant Cells” in their formulas.

Healthy hair and scalp start at the cellular level. The powerful actives in our products work at the scalp to create the ideal environment to produce stronger, healthier hair. Highly concentrated antioxidant molecules neutralize free radicals and reduce the harmful effects of oxidative stress involved in aging. A proprietary peptide blend helps create thicker, fuller-looking hair.

éprouvage Smoothing Shampoo is subtitled For Moisturizing & Taming. It’s a color safe formula that is free of sulfates, parabens, and gluten. It’s a gentle cream that lathers lightly. The shampoo itself almost looks luminous.

éprouvage Smoothing Shampoo

One thing that attracted me to éprouvage Smoothing products is that are good for the scalp. This winter often left me with a flaky scalp that was extremely annoying. When I’m using the éprouvage Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner, I massage them into my scalp. I’ve seen results from that since I’m not noticing flakes. My scalp is benefiting as much as my hair.

éprouvage Smoothing Conditioner is the companion piece that is especially good for nourishing hydration.

  • Restores hydration and nourishes dry, unruly hair.
  • Gently detangles without weighing hair down.
  • Replenishes moisture and improves manageability.

These have a light floral fragrance which I find soothing. It’s not a strong fragrance and I don’t notice it after my hair is dry. They make my hair more manageable and keep it straighter longer.

With April showers your hair isn’t always giving you a good hair day but you can help it along with these smoothing products from éprouvage.  — Marcia

Spring hair trends at Meijer! L’Oreal, Pantene, and John Frieda drugstore finds

Meijer spring hair

*This is a sponsored post, all opinions my own*

Spring is so close I can almost smell it!!  I can’t wait for soft warm breezes blowing my hair, smelling the lilacs and the jasmine…oh I just can’t wait.  Both Marcia and I have been thinking a lot about replenishing and refreshing our stashes for the change of the seasons, and Meijer is the place to do it.  I am super lucky because I have a Meijer just about two miles from my house.  I prefer going there because I can get my groceries plus any other sundries all in one place.

Meijer recently sent some samples of some of their hair care they have featured for spring.  I have a few favorites that are worth considering on your next shopping trip.

L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Hair Products

If you have teenagers in the houes, you need the L’Oreal Clay Extraordinary Clay hair products.  The clay does a great job of absorbing excess oil and dirt, rinsing clean so hair is soft and smells great.  What is unique is these products also treat dry ends at the same time.  The Extraordinary Clay Clay Mask is a pre-shampoo treatment for roots that works extra deep, giving very oily hair a fantastic lift.  And the Dry Shampoo is incredible for turning dirty, oily hair into fresh looking and fresh smelling locks.

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner

We have a lot of guests at my house, so I keep my guest bathroom well stocked.  I always have bottles of Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner in my shower because everyone loves this stuff.  You can’t go wrong with good, basic hair care with a beautiful lather that detangles hair, leaving it soft and shiny.  Yup, everyone is happy.

L'Oreal Color Vibrancy Intensive Shampoo and Conditioner

For those of you with dry and damaged color treated hair, the L’Oreal Color Vibrancy Intensive Shampoo and Conditioner are your answer to those hair care woes.  My daughter recently got her hair tips dyed a bright red (and I instantly became the coolest mom to ever live), and this shampoo and conditioner has really helped keep the color super vibrant.  Just check this out:Red tipsred tips

They promise 60 days of color vibrancy, and my daughter is totally put the shampoo and conditioner to the test!

L'Oreal Ever Pure Hair Care

For super gentle care that colored hair loves, the L’Oreal Ever Pure Hair Care features products with no sulfates.  This is an especially good line for very dry, porous hair.  The Repair Remedy Balm rivals any deep moisturizing treatment I have ever tried, including some extremely expensive boutique brands.

L'Oreal Air Dry It hair styling products

I use a lot of heat styling tools all fall and winter, so I start taking a break from them and letting my hair air dry come spring.  In fact, in the summer I never let a curling iron or a blow dryer get close to my hair.  I think that’s how I’ve been able to keep my hair long and healthy for so many years.  I am impressed with the L’Oreal Air Dry It hair styling products that are excellent companions for those low maintenance hair days.  The Un-done Style Cream gives hair shape and body without buildup.  Add in a dollop of the Air Dry It Ruffled Body Mousse for extra curl and wave support, plus a spritz of the Air Dry It Wave Swept Spray to fight frizz, and you’ve got beautiful beachy locks with basically no effort.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray

As beautiful as they are, spring days can also be extremely humid, especially where I live in Michigan.  I can’t tell you how many days I spent forever either curling or straightening my hair, only to run from the house to my car and find it’s morphed into a head of frizz that looks like an old dandelion.  A favorite hairspray of mine is John Frieda Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray, which not only hold my hair in place, it also locks out frizz for 24 hours.  All I need is 8, and it delivers!

The selection and variety of hair care products in Meijer is fantastic, and they have awesome prices for the spring season.  Be sure to stop by and stock up!  – Lisa

Hair do or hair don’t? Lots of options from Conair Brushes.

I used to only have one hairbrush. It was an Aveda paddle brush. I used it until it looked like a 3-year-old had gotten a hold of some scissors and given it a bad haircut – patches of missing bristles, most of the end nubs missing. I finally decided to branch out and see what else existed in the hair brush world and I haven’t looked back since. Conair recently sent me a few of their new brushes to try and I was more than up to the task. One didn’t work for my type of hair but happily two did – I wonder which of these brushes is perfect for your hair?

Mitch Stone Luxury Repair and Style CreamBrushes aren’t always easy to review because success or failure absolutely depends on the suitability for my personal hair type. So keep in mind that your mileage will vary from mine. I have mid-back length fine hair. While it’s fine, I have a ton of it, which means lots of tangling issues. Conair sent me three brushes, all with very different purposes:  the Round Ultra Detangler, the Dry Shampoo Brush, and the Flip Side Brush.

Conair Ultra Detangler BrushConair Ultra Detangler BrushConair Ultra Detangler BrushConair Ultra Detangler Brush

The Ultra Detangler ($18.99) is a large round wooden brush that works on wet and dry hair. It’s a good detangler – my long hair easily separates, even when it’s wet and matted. The flexible ball-tip detangling bristles don’t pull or break hair and I love this brush for styling. I section my hair and use this right at the root for lots of volume and then at the ends for a slight curl. This is a winner for medium to long hair lengths…those of you with short hair will find the barrel too large.

Conair Dry Shampoo BrushConair Dry Shampoo BrushConair Dry Shampoo Brush

I reviewed the Conair Dry Shampoo Brush ($7) about a year ago and I filed it into the ‘I never knew I needed this, but now I will never be without it’ file. I use dry shampoo all the time – probably four or five days a week on average. I spray along my hair-line all the way around as well as on my part. Sometimes I will use dry shampoo on first day hair for a little more texture and volume. And sometimes I use it because I am, as usual, running late and I just don’t have time for anything but hair triage.

Dry shampoo is awesome, but it has drawbacks if it’s not applied properly. That’s where the magic of the Conair Dry Shampoo Brush comes into play. This brush has a combo of boar bristles and nylon bristles. The boar bristles are on the inside of the brush and they distribute the dry shampoo into the hair while brushing out the dirt and oil. The nylon bristles on the outer portion lift up the hair and give it lots of volume. So hair is lifted while the dry shampoo is evenly distributed, making those tell-tale white patches a thing of the past.

Whether you have short, medium, or long hair, the Conair Dry Shampoo Brush is a must-have brush.

Now on to the one that didn’t work so well for me –

Conair The Flip Side BrushConair The Flip Side BrushConair The Flip Side Brush

Such a cool concept – the Conair The Flip Side Hair Brush ($6.98) is a doubled-sided brush with nylon bristles on one side and boar bristles on the other. The nylon bristles detangle wet or dry hair. The boar bristles give hair lots of shine. Unfortunately, the smaller size didn’t work well for my long layers. My hair actually kept getting tangled in the brush. It’s not the choice for those of us with long hair. Those with short to medium length styles will probably love the time and space-saving design.

Whether you are a one brush woman or you like to play the field, I think Conair has lots of cool brushes to choose from — which ones look good to you?  – Lisa
