Glossybox June 2014 Stars & Stripes

Glossybox June 2014 Stars & Stripes

The June Glossybox came (sent for review) and it made me smile just opening the box. It’s the Star & Stripes Edition and the box alone is worth the price of admission. I save the boxes and keep all my doodads and gizmos in them. This is going to be so easy to find among them. glossybox stars stripes

Glossybox always contains 5 products – a combination of full size products and deluxe samples. There’s usually some variation in the boxes but this month there are 3 items that I understand everyone will receive. This month’s box is filled with delightful products, a terrific way to start off a summer of beauty.

STRANGEBEAUTIFUL created a set of red and blue polishes just for Glossybox and this will be in all boxes. These are smaller than an average size bottle but are a great, easy to use size. Perfect for the Fourth of July holiday and for nail art. I’m super excited since I’ve always wanted to try this brand and thanks to Glossybox I can. (value of $18)

SUMITA BEAUTY EYE SHADOW PENCIL in Champagne. This is a full size eyeshadow crayon in the prettiest shade. At first I thought it had a touch of lavender to it but after using it I see it’s a pretty golden shade with a touch of shimmer. This is the kind of product I love for a quick makeup look. I know all subscriptions will get this though I don’t know if there are different shades. (value of $18)

RUSK TEXTURE DRY FINISHING SPRAY is also in all of the boxes. The spray is meant to give your hair a boost after a long hot day. It’s talc free so there’s no white or chalky residue to it. It’s a deluxe sample size that will easily fit in an overnight bag or daily tote. (value of $3.95)

CAMILLE BECKMAN PLATINUME GOLD IMPERIAL REPAIR HAND THERAPY is a full size tube of a very rich and creamy hand cream. I’ve read so many great reviews about this brand and it’s a pleasure to be able to try it. I smell citrus which makes me a happy camper. (value $10)

What I don’t have but I understand that most subscribers will get in their boxes is a bonus gift card for the store/website C.Wonder. It can be worth anywhere from $5 to $500. That’s a nice bonus since there are some interesting items there.

A Glossybox subscription is $21 a month and this month’s box is worth a minimum of $54. In the last few months I’ve noticed that Glossybox is getting better and better. I especially love that this month had two cosmetic items. I also love that it gave me the opportunity to try almost all new brands that I’ve heard so many great things about. If you haven’t added Glossybox to your life, it’s not too late to subscribe! — Marcia

p.s. If you subscribe before June 30th use the code HAIR to receive a full size Nioxin Diamax hair thickener. If there’s a new code for July I’ll update it.

The Bergdorf Goodman Glossybox for women has a multitude of variations so my box may not be typical of the one you’d end up with. There are 15 different items and you’ll be receiving 6 of them with at least one item from Napoleon Perdis, Revive and Lancer. There are so many wonderful products that your box will be a delightful surprise. Here are my great surprises:

Napoleon Perdis primer and Revive Eye Renewal Serum

Napoleon Perdis primer and Revive Eye Renewal Serum

NAPOLEON PERDIS – AUTO PILOT PRE-FOUNDATION SKIN PRIMER

Napoleon Perdis cosmetics are well known and his Skin Primer is one of his most talked about products. This deluxe sample helps create a flawless finish to skin. This primer is great for making your foundation last longer. It’s very creamy but it does have a fragrance.(full size $45/1.7 fl oz/ sample size value$13.25 for .5 oz)

REVIVE – EYE RENEWAL SERUM FIRMING BOOSTER

I’ll never be unhappy about a product this luxurious in a subscription box. And since it’s an eye serum I did a little happy dance. This is a lightweight serum that wears well on me under makeup. It’s designed to tighten the undereye area to make it look more lifted. It doesn’t feel tight under my eyes though and concealer goes on smoothly with this. (Full size is $140 for .5 fl oz/deluxe sample is valued at $28).

Philip B Creme Rinse and Lancer Eye Cream

Philip B Creme Rinse and Lancer Eye Cream

PHILIP B – LIGHT-WEIGHT DEEP CONDITIONING CREME RINSE

This luscious smelling conditioner is both lightweight and rich at the same time. I’ve just used it once and my hair looked silky smooth and very well moisturized. In summer we need extra moisturization so this is a bonus to have. You can also travel with luxury hair care with this deluxe sample. (Full size of 6 oz. is $26 making this 2 fl oz sample worth $8.75).

LANCER – EYE CONTOUR LIFTING CREAM

Got me again! This 0.17 fl oz size is perfect for travel (as is the Revive) but I couldn’t wait to go anywhere to try it out. This contans caffeine and light diffusers so it’s particularly great during the day time but just as nice at night. It’s meant to help diminish the appearance of fine lines, crow’s feet, puffiness and dark circles. Sounds like a dream come true. A full size of .5 oz is $95 making this sample worth about $30.

Lancome Ultimate Elixir and Atelier Rose Cologne

Lancome Ultimate Elixir and Atelier Rose Cologne

LANCOME – ABSOLUE L’EXTRAIT REGENERATING ULTIMATE ELIXIR

Yikes, a full size is $360 for 1.7 oz. The sample size is 5mL/0.16fl oz. This elixir is top of the line Lancome. It uses a state of the art biotechnological process to extract from the heart of the rare and resilient Lancome Rose. It’s meant to help with firmer and more elastic skin and to give you radiance. This is the type of item that you’d have to spend a fortune at a counter to get a sample of.

ATELIER COLOGNE – ROSE ANONYME COLOGNE ABSOLUE

I love to look at mini bottles of fragrance. I don’t wear fragrance but the minis can’t be resisted. I’m happy to give away all my sample vials but I’m not giving up the bottles that easily. That said this is a musky Turkish Rose scent that contains velvet oud, Indonesian patchouli, mystic papyrus and Somalian incense. (Full size is $140 for 3.4 oz; mini is valued at $10)

$25 gift card to BG in your Glossybox

$25 gift card to BG in your Glossybox

I’m not done because we can’t forget the gift card that will be in your Glossybox for $25 off any purchase you make. If you love something you’ve gotten a sample of then use it towards a full size or just pick something you’ve wanted and you’ll spend $25 less.

Bergdorf Goodman Glossybox for Women

Bergdorf Goodman Glossybox for Women

I’m impressed with the variety of items I received and the long list that Bergdorf Goodman shows that you could receive. There’s nothing more fun than a box of high end surprises.

Now one last thing! As you may know, a Glossybox subscription is $21 a month. The June box is a special Stars & Stripes edition and if you sign up, use the code HAIR, you’ll receive a Nioxin hair thickener with your fabulous box. Don’t hesitate – order now to get in on the fun. — Marciaglossybox stars and stripes

Top Ten Tuesday celebrates Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and if you are like me then you are still trying to think of a gift for someone dear to you. Gifts don’t just have to be to mothers – they can be for daughter-in-laws, grandmothers, a dear friend or aunt, or even yourself. Here are 10 plus that I’d love to see wrapped up for me. Starting at 12:00 and going clockwise are….
1. SEPHORA SUMMERTIME FAVORITES – I don’t have this but it’s loaded with items I love or want to love. For $45 you’ll find a cosmetic bag filled with this amazing collection
- 0.049 oz Stila Cosmetics Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow in Kitten
- 0.08 oz Nars Travel Size Laguna Bronzing Powder
- 0.095 oz Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in Pink Escape
- 0.27 oz Deborah Lippman Nail Lacquer in Mermaid’s Dream
- 0.018 oz Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in 12L
- 0.08 oz Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss in New Wave with Lip Brush
- 0.23 oz Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer in Venus
- 0.5 oz Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
- 0.09 oz Marc Jacobs Mini Lash Lifter Mascara in Blacquer
2. A GIRL’S GOTTA SPA ENERGIZING CITRUS BODY LOTION AND BODY WASH – I’d love these because as much as I splurge on cosmetics, I don’t splurge on body products. A Girl’s Gotta Spa! bath and body products are free of trendy ingredients, bogus miracle solutions and product hype. They’re cruelty-free (in fact, we’re Leaping Bunny certified.) They’re also free of sulfates, formaldehyde, petrochemicals, synthetic colors and fragrances. What our natural body wash and natural lotion do have, is something purely honest and simple, something effective and unpretentious. They are made in small batches to give you the highest quality product possible. It is an elucidation to your dry skin care woes and satiates your senses. I am partial to citrus fragrances in products so I just know these would make me (and you) happy.
3. PACK A HAT by Capelli Straworld – a great summer treat for anyone who loves to be outside. This is a hat that folds into a purse so you can carry it anywhere. I’ll be reviewing it soon but until then you should check these out since they’ll make walking, gardening, spending time near the water and just about everything you do outside much prettier.

4. STELLA & DOT JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES – this is my Mother’s Day present to myself. I bought a 30″ dainty ball chain with the initials of my two grandchildren. It’s not a statement piece (Stella & Dot carries some beauties) but it’s a piece that shows my love. I’ve linked to my wonderful representative, Darcy Sieber, in case you don’t have one. After ordering this I had it in 4 days!!

Stella & Dot

Stella & Dot

5. and 6. SUBSCRIPTION BOXES – I’m a huge fan of subscription boxes and think there’s one for everyone and every budget. For $21 a month you can order GLOSSYBOX and get someone full size and deluxe samples of skincare and cosmetics; for $7 a month you can order COLOR ME MONTHLY which delivers a surprise nail polish shade; for $36 a month you can order one of three WANTABLE boxes (cosmetics, accessories or intimates) and for $49.95 you can order FAB FIT FUN which has a little bit of everything. A subscription box gift is perfect for those far away from you or for a last minute “oops I forgot”. You pick the number of months so you can keep it in your budget.
7. LISA HOFFMAN SCENTED JEWELRY – there are a lot of items you can order from Lisa Hoffman that make very unusual gifts. My blog partner Lisa adores this line so when I asked her to pick a favorite fragrance for me to share today this is what she chose. This particular one is the Kerala Ashok Garden Bracelet that you fill with the scented beads but there are others that she’s crazy about too.
8. LUSH MUM’S GIFT SET – While Lush has beautiful gifts for all occasions there is something special about this Mum’s Gift Set. The Mum Gift Set has seven different floral-scented products, including two bath bombs, three bubble bars, a body lotion and a face moisturizer. It’s everything your mom needs to smell amazing after a bit of pampering. And I bet she’ll share too.
9. CLARISONIC ARIA INDULGENCE GIFT SET – I chose this since more mom’s know about the Clarisonic than the Foreo Luna plus it’s a great set that not only contains the new Aria but also 1.7 oz Fresh Soy Face Cleanser, 0.5 oz Josie Maran Argan Oil Light, and 0.23 oz Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm. You’ll get a lot for the $199 that this normally costs by itself.
10. MONT BLEU – I could have done a post just on buying Mont Bleu products for Mother’s Day but I chose just 3 of the hundreds of beautiful items. I have the heart key chain and smile every time I pick up my keys. I can distinguish between the two cars with ease plus it’s a heart!! The business card case shown is perfect if you have a working mom and the hairbrush is just to die for! You can find every price item at Mont Bleu and you absolutely won’t be disappointed. The shipping is reasonable and quick.
.
Out of all of these I think my own elderly mother would most enjoy the Lisa Hoffman bracelet since she’d have something different than the other ladies in her senior citizen apartment building. For me I’d love more Mont Bleu and A Girl’s Gotta Spa products.
Join the other bloggers to see what they chose. It’s always fun to see the differences. — Marcia

Celebrate May with the new Glossybox

Subscription boxes are one of my special treats. I always look forward to what the surprises will be in the boxes. One of the reasons I am so fond of Glossybox is that the boxes are the same. You won’t open your box to find that the wonderful product you read about in someone else’s box isn’t in yours and never will be. Glossybox sends out basically the same box to all subscribers. There may be some variation but it’s usually in color or scent, not product. The box reviewed is the April box and it can still be ordered but just through 4/30. After that you’d receive the May box. I receive my box from Glossybox to review and I knew a few hints of what was in the box so I was very excited to open this up:

Glossybox for May 2014

Glossybox for May 2014

A Glossybox subscription is $21 per month and that includes shipping. They guarantee you’ll receive 5 luxury products, some full size and others that are deluxe samples. This month contained 3 full and 2 deluxe sample sizes.

The card always explains your box

Caldrea Body Wash is a deluxe sample that came in a variety of fragrances in different boxes. Mine is in Aloe Water Apricot which is a wonderful scent that’s not too heavy. Caldrea infuses the body wash with brightening free-radical fighting angelica root and linden flower extracts. Caldrea is a brand that’s high end and trusted so this 1 fl. oz wash is great for home and perfect for travel.

CIATE LONDON PAINT POT is the product I was most excited to see in the May box. I’ve used Ciate before and it’s a fabulous nail polish brand. The color I received is Kaftan and it’s an orange-yellow that is amazing in its brilliance. It has teeny bits of shimmer embedded in the polish so it’s sparkles without glitter. This is going to make the most amazing pedicure color too.

AQUA SPA BODY CREME is in the “relax” family and is scented with Lavender + Chamomile which are known for their calming properties. It’s especially good for dry skin plus it contains Marine Youth Complex to help diminish the signs of aging. This is a very generous 2 oz.

LASPLASH EYESHADOW SEALER/BASE is great for all eyeshadows but especially for pigments or glitter. Everyone should have an eyeshadow base but I bet some people don’t have this in their arsenal of products. Well now with this Glossybox they’ll be able to see what a difference a base like this makes. My advice is to use a small amount and not to double dip for your lids. What’s on the wand is enough for one eye. A very nice addition to this box.

BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Super Gloss in Vanilla Pink is the one product that totally surprised me. When I looked at the tube I thought they’d put the wrong one in my box since it didn’t look like a vanilla pink. Lo and behold when I put it on my lips it was a beautiful peachy pink with some vanilla luminescence. It’s not a shimmery gloss but it’s not flat either. There’s enough color to wear alone or put it over a lipstick to enhance it. I’ve tried other Bellapierre products and liked them a lot; add this to the top of that list.

Now let’s take a look at the great value:

Glossybox for May 2014

Glossybox for May 2014

-LASPLASH eyeshadow sealer is valued at $9

-Caldrea Body Wash ($18 for 11.5 oz) would be worth $1.80

-CIATE POLISH costs $15

-Aqua Spa (full size $10 for 9 oz) would be worth $2.20

-BELLAPIERRE Super Gloss sells for $24.50

April’s Total = $52.50 for your $21 investment. If you do a longer plan the price goes down accordingly.

With Mother’s Day around the corner, a Glossybox Subscription would be a wonderful gift, especially if you aren’t near enough to give a gift in person. Spend $21 for a one time box or for $60 you could surprise your mom 3 months in a row with a box of beauty that will make her think of you.

This is one of my favorite Glossyboxes because I will use everything in it except one of the samples which will become my blog partners. This is a win/win situation. What’s your favorite item out of these lovelies? — Marcia

March’s Glossybox had the best surprise in it

The reason I love subscriptions like Glossybox is because you never know what you are going to find. There are always surprises of some kind but this month when Glossybox sent the March edition to us for review I found the best surprise in it. I know that all the boxes contained something similar but it was like they had read my mind and found a perfect item for my lifestyle.

March 2014 Glossybox

March 2014 Glossybox

Inside this month’s box were 3 deluxe samples, 2 full size items and the bonus item – an Alex and Ani Charm Bangle. Now from my past reviews you know I love jewelry, especially items I can wear to work. Kids (of all ages) notice what their teachers and mentors wear even if they don’t comment on it. This Alex and Ani bracelet means a lot to me because of the way I feel about the world in general. I don’t want to get all gushy on you but this really made me feel wonderful.

Alex and Ani Charm Bangle

Alex and Ani Charm Bangle

“A majestic creature that embodies grace and beauty, a swan is a powerful symblol of love. Swans epitomize affectionate connection, as they typically created lasting bonds and mate for life. Embrace the devoted energy of this migratory being with the Swan Charm as encouragemnt to glide through life with an open heart.” – Alex and Ani

Alex and Ani Swan Charm bangle

Alex and Ani Swan Charm bangle

Along with the bonus bracelet each box received a different Alex and Ani product in Scent 7. The one I received is a Soap Bar in Scent 7 (full size $14) which symbolizes ENERGY. It’s a strongly scented bar containing shea butter and coconut oil. “Invigorate your senses and lift your spirit with each use.” These two products speak to me and the way I view the world so they are the highlights of this subscription box.

The deluxe samples are all products I’m looking forward to using. As you must know by now I love hair products so having an Alterna Haircare product, Bamboo Volume Plumping Strand Expand, in the box is perfect for me. I complain about the lack of volume that my hair has but if I use the right products like this Alterna Haircare one, I get fullness and beautiful looks. This .85 fl oz product is the perfect size for travel or for discovering if this works. (Full size 4 oz is $22; value of this is about $5)

Deluxe minis from Glossybox: Sisley, Nails Inc, Alterna and Etre Belle

Sisley, Nails Inc, Alterna and Etre Belle

There’s a luxurious Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask sample (full size is $158/2.1 oz; value of .38 oz sample is about $26) is the first mask that Sisley Paris has created with anti-aging active ingredients. It’s rich in trace elements, vitamins and plants extracts. I always feel special using a product from Sisley and a mask is a wonderful product for an at-home spa day.

Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask

Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask

Etre Belle Cosmetics is a new brand for me so finding this Liplift Peel brought a smile to my lips. Liplift Peel is a gentle exfoliator for lips to be used about once a week. It just takes 2 minutes – the first minute is using the exfoliator in a circular motion on the lip area, the second minute is letting it penetrate, and then you remove with a dampened cloth.  This is particularly nice to have as we leave winter behind. (Full size items of 0.5 fl oz retails for $17.80)

So now that I’m cleansed from head to toe, my skin is masked and exfoliated and my body about to be adorned with jewels, Glossybox includes the prettiest spring shade of polish in Brook Street. This coral pink mini is perfect for fingers or toes that are waiting to be seen at last. It’s a great size for the fickle since it will give you enough for several uses.

This is a delightful box yet I know it’s not for everyone since there’s just one cosmetic item in it and lots of people are hoping for cosmetics. My feeling? There’s always next month and in the meantime I’ve got some amazing products to use and enjoy. What do you think of the March Glossybox?

It’s easy to subscribe to Glossybox and each month for $21 delivered you’ll get surprises galore. They are great for travel and for new discoveries. They are great for luxuries (like the Sisley) or heartwarming surprises (like the Alex and Ani charm bracelet). This March box has a value of at least $91. You can only come out ahead!

Oooh, I almost forgot that I have a spoiler for you for April. Glossybox is going to include one out of 13 shades of the wonderful Ciate Nail polishes in each box. That’s great news for me and hopefully you too. — Lisa

p.s. Another clue for April!! Each box will have Bellapierre Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Vanilla Pink ($24.50 value)

Get it for your guy: The Men’s Glossybox

Shampoo, shave, and style – that’s what the latest Glossybox for Men promises and for $40 it delivers everything your man needs to groom himself right up.

The Men's Glossybox

The Men’s Glossybox

There are two full size hair items, one full size skin care item, one full size shave item, and two sample size items.  The full size items together are worth $78, so this is definitely a bargain box of manly products.

Redken Clean Brew

Redken Clean Brew

Redken For Men Clean Brew Shampoo (retails for $12.50):  you know those commercials where there is a screaming hot guy out in the woods, doing something really manly like chopping down a tree or riding a wild horse?  The scent of this shampoo is exactly like what I imagine that screaming hot guy smells like.  It’s woodsy and clean and fabulously macho.  My husband LOVES this, it really is a terrific shampoo for guys who like working on cars or building houses because it has anti-grit technology that will clean even the most tenacious engine oil out of hair.  And if your guy has naturally oily hair, it’s shampoo perfection.

Redken Firm Grasp

Redken Firm Grasp

Redken for Men Firm Grasp texurizing hair clay (retails for $19):  this gets a big thumbs up from the hubby.  It’s a texturizing hair clay that smells woodsy, but it’s not an overpowering scent. It is terrific for shorter hair, leaving a matte finish that looks mod yet rugged.

Nuxe Men's Eye Cream

Nuxe Men Multi-Purpose Eye Cream

Nuxe Men Multi-Purpose Eye Cream (retails for $28): it is a small bottle, but it is the full size product. The eye cream is in an airless pump, it’s really terrific packaging. The eye cream is a thin cream that smells vaguely of pine.  It is designed to soothe puffiness, decrease dark circles, and decrease the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It sure leaves my skin super soft and hydrated. I got my husband to use it for a few days, and he liked it…but I’m betting it’s not something he will use all the time.  Eye cream is a little too much maintenance for him. So guess what? I’m stealing it for myself.

Zirh Prepare Shave Oil

Zirh Prepare Shave Oil

Zirh Pre-Shave Oil (retails for $18.50):  this is an oil that your guy smooths on before the shaving cream. It gives the shaving area more lubrication so shaving is easy and razor burn issues are things of the past. It’s a small bottle, but one drop is all my husband needs for shaving his beard, so this will last a very long time. Again, my husband liked it and said it worked great…but I am betting this is one more step he won’t do regularly, although he will reach for it when his razor is at the end of its lifetime. In the meantime, I am using it for shaving my legs.

Bulgari Man Extreme

Bulgari Man Extreme

BVLGARI Man Extreme Cologne (this is a deluxe 0.17 fl.oz. sample, a full size 3.4 oz. retails for $79):  what a nice, big sample of this deliciously manly cologne! I find a lot of men’s colognes are way too strong, but this one is subtle and masculine at the same time. Notes include pink grapefruit, Calabrian bergamot, balsa wood, and Haitian vetiver.

There is also a small tube of Sisley Moisturizer that is meant for application after shaving. It’s definitely something to throw in the travel bag for soothing irritated skin.

All in all, it’s a great box. The full size items are terrific and money-wise you get a lot of bang for your buck. Anything my hubby wouldn’t use was of interest to me, so nothing is going to be wasted! I think this is a wonderful gift for the guy in your life. I give a big thumbs up to this Men’s Glossybox.  - Lisa

Glossybox welcomes 2014 with this fun January box

January 2014 Glossybox

January 2014 Glossybox

I’ve been extremely lucky this month since I not only received this January Glossybox for review but also the limited edition La Prairie box. Both of these are filled with items that I hadn’t tried before (except for one) so they’ve enriched my life. The January subscription box teased us with two special items and I knew I wanted both of them. When I received the box I quickly opened it to make sure that they were in there. Smiles followed!!!

And what's inside the January box?

And what’s inside the January box?

The most treasured item in the January Glossybox is a Beautyblender sponge. I am crazy about Beautyblender and am thrilled to at last have the three colors they’ve made (the original hot pink, black and now white). The other teaser was Vichy though I didn’t know exactly what would be included.

Let’s learn about the items in this month’s subscription:

BALANCE ME Super Toning Body Wash

Balance Me Body Wash

Balance Me Body Wash

This is loaded with spa inspired aromatics like juniper, bergamot, geranium and lavender. It’s a great wake up shower wash that foams to get you going in the morning. This deluxe sample is 1.7 fl oz while the full is 3.4 fl oz making this great for home use or to take to the gym or on vacation.

TONI&GUY HAIR MEET WARDROBE Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray

Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray

Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Spray

I didn’t try this since my goal with hair is straight and smooth but that doesn’t mean that my blog partner isn’t dying to get her hands on this. You spray this evenly on your hair (either towel dried or dry) and work it through to create tousled waves. It has light hold to keep your style fresh looking throughout the day.

The Vichy moisturizer is especially good for people with dry skin. It’s paraben free and contains the mineral rich Vichy Water as well as Hyaluronic Acid. It has a light fragrance that works for me during the day as it dissipates after about 10 minutes.  It’s a great winter moisturizer.

Beautyblender

Actually the original Beautyblender sponge was the one we affectionately called The Pink Egg. There was much debate on whether facsimiles of this were worthy but in my opinion nothing matches the Beautyblender. While I adore my pink egg I’d be afraid of just how dirty this white one would get but since it can be used for both skincare and cosmetics, I’ve got the perfect use for it! Skincare it will be. When I opened Glossybox I thought at first that this was a small size but it’s just the packaging that’s smaller. The sponge is full size and absolutely wonderful. If you’ve never used this then Glossybox brought you the best product ever! The cleanser is a small size and it really does get these sponges clean better than anything else.

BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS MINERAL BLUSH in Desert Rose:

Bellapierre Mineral Blush in Desert Rose

Bellapierre Mineral Blush in Desert Rose

I don’t know if every box contained Desert Rose but it’s a beautiful shade that should be universally flattering.  Mineral products are recommended for all skin types even the most sensitive. This is a full size blush at 4g (value $20). It’s also available in Autumn Glow, Amaretto and Suede. My advice with this type of top is to only peel back a small amount of the taped top and then shake the powder into the top of the blush. That’s how I use all loose products like this so that I don’t get any overload or spilled product.

Glossybox’s products for January 2014

This box is an especially nice one and a great way to start a year with Glossybox. For $21 a month you get great products like the ones this month. The value of this month’s box is approximately $62 so your money is well spent.

Is there anything in the January box that you’d love to own too? — Marcia
