My favorite quote of all time is from architect Frank Lloyd Wright. He said, “Give me the luxuries of life and I will willingly do without the necessities.” Now those are words to live by! His architecture inspires me because it is based on patterns found in nature. I have found that same inspiration in the super chic and exquisitely designed laser cut jewelry from Joyo which was sent to us for review.
The creator behind Joyo is the gorgeous artist Jenn Liddiard. Jenn makes every single piece of her jewelry collection by hand. That means she creates the patterns, laser cuts the wood, then sands, oils, and assembles every single accessory. You can feel the love in this jewelry – it is palpable.
The designs are based on geometrical and natural patterns, and she uses natural materials like wood. Check out the Baroque Earrings ($45).
The Baroque Earrings have a pattern based on the ornate detail found in late 17th and 18th century architecture. My pair has 14k gold filled ear wires; sterling silver is also an option. There are two different wood type options as well, walnut and birch wood.
The length is 2.75″ with a 2″ drop and 1.5″ width. The laser cut of these is fascinating, and the earrings are feather light. They truly are works of art.
The stunning Baroque Earrings are just a small peek at the laser-cut jewelry Joyo offers. There are many other earring designs, as well as laser cut, eco-friendly bracelets and necklaces that will become the focal point of any outfit. Joyo Jewelry can be found in boutiques and is also available at the online store. - Lisa
