Eliminate Dark Circles and Puffiness with Derma MD – review and giveaway

I realized the other day that I was using a lot of my Derma MD products and that I hadn’t reviewed their ELIMINATE & LIGHTEN EYE CREAM and that I also had an extra they’d sent for a giveaway. Sorry for the delay but I’m happy to tell you all about this eye cream and even happier to have someone win one.

DermaMD Eliminate & Lighten Eye Cream

DermaMD Eliminate & Lighten Eye Cream

DermaMD Eliminate & Lighten Eye Cream is good for everything your eyes want and need. It helps with the puffiness that we wake up with in the morning, it helps lighten dark circles, it helps soften fine lines, and it helps brighten underneath your eye. It’s great for both day and night since we usually have different problems we want to solve with an eye cream. While it’s not inexpensive ($58.95) it can be found when Hautelook carries DermaMD a few times a year. I wouldn’t wait until then though since it’s such a good eye cream.

The ingredients are wonderful and each serves a purpose.

Hydration = happy skin with Derma MD Replenish Hydrating Gel

Derma MD Replenish Peptide Serum

Derma MD Replenish Peptide Serum

If you have dry or ‘mature’ skin (what a nice way to put it!) then Derma MD Replenish Hydrating Gel ($139) is probably exactly what you need.  My combination skin is slowly going over to the dry side as I get older, and bitter winter cold doesn’t help at all.  Derma MD sent me this serum to test, and it has been absolutely perfect as nighttime hydration for my skin.

Just looking at this moisturizing serum makes my skin feel happier.

Just looking at this moisturizing serum makes my skin feel happier.

This is a beautiful, thick gel-like serum that leaves skin a bit tacky after application.  I like it best for evenings after cleansing and toning so it doesn’t interfere with makeup application.  The key ingredients are peptides including Matrixyl 3000 and hyaluronic acid.   There are plenty of antioxidants too, like Vitamin C, grape seed extract, and fennel seed.   I have found this serum improves the texture of my skin, making it much more smooth and soft.  It also helps tighten skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  All that hydration really plumps up the skin and gives a younger appearance.

Every night, I smooth this on over my face, neck, and decolletage, and my skin is happy, happy, happy.  If you are in the market for a truly hydrating serum that works, I definitely recommend you check out Derma MD Replenish Hydrating Gel.  Right now there is a special code for BIZ readers – enter dermamd40 to receive 40% off at checkout on their site!  – Lisa

My workhorse body lotion: Derma M.D. Soy Moisturizer Intense Healing Creme

There are all sorts of fancy body lotions out there, but a must-have is a workhorse lotion without any perfumes or tricks – just effective ingredients that heal problem dry skin.  Derma M.D. Soy Moisturizer Intense Healing Creme ($79.95) is my workhorse!

Derma MD Soy Moisturizer 2

Marcia raves about Derma M.D. so I was excited when they sent us this body moisturizer.  Yes, it is expensive, but if you suffer from eczema or psoriasis this is a truly fantastic option.

This is a creamy lotion that doesn’t have any discernible scent.  It contains proven ingredients that truly work.  Soy bean oil is an excellent emollient that also calms irritated, reddened skin.  Shea butter, olive oil, rose hips seed oil, and algae repair and heal dryness.  Quercetin is a bioflavinoid ingredient that comes from plants and is a fantastic antioxidant.  The lotion is even safe enough to use after non-invasive cosmetic procedures.

Derma MD Soy Moisturizer 3

I have had great results with the Soy Moisturizer Intense Healing Creme, particularly on dry, cracked heels and rough, dry skin patches.  Put this body lotion on your radar, particularly if you suffer from eczema or psoriasis.  – Lisa

Juicy cleansing with Derma MD Enzyme Cleanser with Pineapple and Papaya

Enzyme Cleanser with Pineapple and Papaya

Enzyme Cleanser with Pineapple and Papaya

Early this month I gave a quick review of several Derma MD products that were sent for review. At the time they were being offered for the first time on Hautelook. Derma MD wanted to alert people to this fact and I was the lucky recipient of products to review. I’m loving all of the skincare that they sent me and will be reviewing more soon.

I like to test products for a minimum of 30 days before reviewing them. While I haven’t used this cleanser for that full amount of time, I’ve used it every night for almost 3 weeks. Derma MD Enzyme Cleanser with Pineapple and Papaya ($34.95) has become a favorite that I actually enjoy using. It’s not often that I can say a cleanser is fun but this one actually is.

Here’s what I like so much about Derma MD Enzyme Cleanser with Pineapple and Papaya:

1. The texture of the Enzyme Cleanser is different than any others I own. I think this is what makes it fun. It’s jelly-like and slurpy. When I squeeze the plastic bottle to remove the cleanser some of it slurps back in.

2. The feel of the cleanser is cool. It feels refreshing when applied.

3. This foams up nicely but not with the feeling that it’s stripping my skin. I can feel the cleansing in action yet it’s lightly moisturizing at the same time.

4. I don’t need a toner after using this since it cleanses thoroughly.

5. It has the most delicious fragrance and this comes from a fragrance-phobe. The first time I used it I was worried about how the smell would affect me but now I look forward to this sweet pineapple aroma that’s just a tiny bit tart at the same time.

6. The cleanser contains very gentle enzymes of pineapple and papaya which are helpful for removing dead skin cells so that your skin is soft, hydrated and fresh feeling.

7. It feels like I’m getting some deep pore cleansing with this Derma MD cleanser. I have large pores that I hate and I want to know they are being properly cleansed. Since enzymes are known to destroy dead skin cells and pores are often filled with those cells, I am comfortable knowing that my pores are being taken care of properly.

8. The key ingredients are Pineapple & Papaya Enzyme, Aloe Vera Extract, Wheat Protein Amino Acid, Dex-Panthenol, Avocado Oil.

While the price of Derma MD Enzymatic Cleanser is on the high side I feel that it’s worth it. I don’t know if it will come back to Hautelook or not but if it does jump on that opportunity. And if it doesn’t, then sign up for 10% off the Derma MD website and indulge yourself with a great cleanser. — Marcia
