My nails are cheering me up with Color Me Monthly Revelry

Color Me Monthly REVELRY

Color Me Monthly REVELRY

I needed a little bit of cheer in my life and that meant a cheery nail polish. I turned to Color Me Monthly Revelry which I had purchased during the last Color Me Monthly sale. Revelry is their June 2016 polish. As I’m writing this I can’t get into the website but I still wanted to share this beauty.  Their Facebook page is live and active so I have hope that I’ll soon be purchasing from them again.

This very pretty red has a beautiful pink undertone as well as infinitesimally small shimmer within. You might be the only one that notices the shimmer but it’s enough to bring a smile to your face.

I’ve often written about Color Me Monthly’s nail polish subscription which I truly enjoy. They’ve sent me several polishes to try out since they began and now it’s time for me to buy a few myself. From now through August 31st they are on sale for 15% off. A subscription is just $7 a month (and includes shipping) and the polishes in the Vault are $9 each. The Vault contains extras of the subscription shades.

Color Me Monthly Orla

Color Me Monthly Orla

One of the shades in the Vault is Órla that I’m wearing right now. It’s a stunning gold shimmer that is fit for a queen. It was the March 2016 shade which was so fitting since it’s reminiscent of a pot of gold at the end of your rainbow nails. These very shiny shade is one you’ll want to wear during the holidays so think ahead and purchase it now for $7.65.                                 sample

The other shade that I purchased is Sorcerer’s Violet, a periwinkle blue cream. I love wearing blue polish and Color Me Monthly creates outstanding blues.

One shade that I adore and highly recommend is Seven Sisters, I wear this often because it’s a stunning deep blue with shimmer that’s like a starry night.

Color Me Monthly Janus for January’s polish of the month

Color Me Monthly Janus

Color Me Monthly Janus

What color do you think of when you think January? Some months are just so easy – February is pink and especially red; March is green and the more emerald the better, April brings us pastels that would be Easter Egg perfect, October is orange of course. But what about January? Maybe navy because of the darkness of it would fit. But charcoal? Who would think of charcoal other than the wonderful women who own Color Me Monthly.

Americana is the Color Me Monthly choice for June

Americana

Color Me Monthly created an absolutely perfect nail polish to stand out in the sea of red, white and blue for the holiday. We’ve seen some beautiful shiny reds for the season but what we haven’t seen is the color of Old Glory, that is until Color Me Monthly created it for their June box.

Color Me Monthly for June 2015, Americana

Color Me Monthly always seems to be right on target for the month or season but at the same time they have a slightly different take on everything. That’s one of the reasons it’s such a unique company.

This is considered by CMM to be a brick red but when I look at it I see the color of the flag in its Old Glory-ness. It was chosen as the June 2015 shade because it was nestled between two very American holidays – Memorial Day and Fourth of July. It embodies the essence of both while celebrating what makes America special.

Top Ten red nail polishes

Favorite red nail polishes #beautyinfozone

Favorite red nail polishes #beautyinfozone

It’s Top Ten Tuesday and we’re going red. Each blogger is picking their favorite red items so they could be anything. I’m all about red nails. I love red nail polish and wore it for years and years. I’d wear pink in the summer and red the rest of the year. I’ve expanded horizons but to me there’s nothing like a good red. If it’s metallic, that’s all the better.

In no particular order here are the reds I can wear again and again and never tire of. In the meantime my nail drawers are filled with more reds but I narrowed it down to:

butter LONDON, A-England, FACE Stockholm, Illamasqua, FABY

butter LONDON, A-England, FACE Stockholm, Illamasqua, FABY

1.  butter LONDON Knees Up – this metallic red speaks for itself. It lasts and lasts and shines the entire time. This is one of my very favorite butter LONDON polishes and it’s still available.

2.  a-england Perceval – this is called a ‘splendid and resplendent red’ by a-england and it’s definitely splendid. I am a big fan of a-england polishes and would own them all if I could. This deep ruby has a subtle shimmer that makes it perfect.

4.  Illamasqua Scarab – I haven’t worn this polish in forever and in my mind it was redder than it shows on the wheel. Instead it’s a stunning deep burgundy with subtle shimmer that’s a touch metallic.
