IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder for an airbrush finish

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder

About a month ago I finished my IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Loose Powder up – down to the very last bits of the powder. I thought I had a replacement but it turned out to be a different IT Loose Powder in Light and was too dark for me. Well that meant shopping time which isn’t hard when it comes to IT Cosmetics. IT had come out with their translucent powder in a pressed version so I changed from a favorite to a new type of powder. I’m so brave!

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder compact

The compact for Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder is very sturdy and is easy to take with you anywhere. There’s a great mirror, the powder, and a sponge applicator for when you are on the go. I had been a fan of MAC Blot Powder for oodles of years but now that IT has this option, I’ve switched.

The powder is definitely translucent as you can see below (there was no way to get a swatch of it)

This wonderful powder is subtitled “Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder”. IT Cosmetics is known for their anti-aging ingredients and I need that. The powder contains anti-aging peptides, collagen, silk & anti-oxidants, plus optical-blurring drops of light technology. Got that? It sounds like it was made for me.

The powder is buildable but I like a light sweep of it to set my foundation. Too much and the blurring goes away on me. My deep set pores eat powder so the less the better. If you have oily or combination skin this doubles as a blot powder.

Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Powder brush

At one point we were sent sent IT’s Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Powder brush (No. 8) and I couldn’t wait to try this brush out with the powder. Talk about heavenly!! Geez this brush is the epitome of softness that’s amazingly effective. It’s spoiled me for any other brush to use with my pressed powder and now for other powders including highlighters and loose powder.

As with all IT Cosmetic brushes this is uniquely crafted by sculpting and trimming the head of the brush, in this case to form a perfect round ball shape. I can’t recommend this brush enough. It makes applying Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder a delight and never a chore. I didn’t know it was possible to look forward to applying powder before.

While I’m happy I bought the Bye Bye Pores Pressed, I do miss the original Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro Powder and will replace that. It will give me more excuses to use the HEAVENLY Ball Wand brush after all. Have you tried this new pressed powder? — Marcia

Comments

  1. I love IT Cosmetics! I prefer the loose version because it’s more matte and lasts longer on me.

  2. I love the look of that brush. The brush I’ve been using to apply my powder is too big. I haven’t tried either of those two powders from IT yet, but I love their pressed foundation!

  3. This sounds like a great powder, but I really want that brush!

  4. I am always blotting my skin with pressed powder so this translucent compact sounds like a great choice for me!

  5. Amy Orvin says:

I really like the looks of that brush. It looks so soft.

  6. Eeks, I have that brush, and I have yet to use it, but it IS so super soft! I need to try the Bye Bye Pores ’cause I wanna tell them #ByeFelicia. :’) 😀

  7. The powder sounds really nice, but I’m so digging that brush! I just bought a new IT foundation brush during the ULTA 20% sale and it’s seriously the softest brush I own!

  8. I actually like the pressed better for my face, but just today I tried using it to set my under eye concealer and it caked SO badly. Lesson learned lol. I guess we need ALL the IT, right?!

  9. The powder sounds so nice.

  10. I was a die hard MAC Blot for years too, but my skin is to dry to need it now, glad this option is available.

  11. It has great products, the only limitation is the shade range of their line for WOC. Great review.

  12. This powder sounds good. I should try it next

  13. My skin’s been on the dry side in a few spots lately so I can’t use powders, but I really want to, especially if it’s It Cosmetics! This one looks so lovely!

  14. The IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder sounds great, I’d love to give it a try. I would also love to have the Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Powder brush. Thank you for sharing this review.

  15. I love the loose version of this but haven’t tried the pressed yet. I need this brush though! I have a few It brushes and they are the epitome of softness.

  16. This looks fabulous and I definitely want it.

  17. That brush looks awesome. 🙂 I think pressed powders are so convenient for on the go – this one sounds great.

  18. Christy Peeples DuBois says:

That brush does look heavenly. This powder sounds good but now I do not know if this It powder or the one you say you miss or the Mac blot powder would better for my oily skin. Would love any advice/suggestions as to opinions on this. Thanks for the review.

  19. Christy, my blog partner Lisa has more oily skin than I do and she would probably recommend MAC Blot. My skin is becoming more dry and I’m loving IT Cosmetics more.

  20. I’ve been interested in this, so thank you for the honest review – and that brush looks amazing!

  21. I want that brush. I have the loose powder version of bye bye pores and it’s one of my favorites. Glad they make a pressed version, this one is better to carry.

  22. Natalie Brown says:

I haven’t tried this pressed powder yet because I have a favorite that I stick too. Although, this brush sounds amazing! I’ll have to add it to my wish-list. 🙂

  23. I don’t wear powders often – normally just when I’m too lazy for full foundation 🙂 this sounds great.

  24. I love that they carry anti-aging cosmetics.
