The buzz on Burt’s Bees Natural Skin Care

Burts Bees Sheer Body Lotion and Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Towelette
Burt’s Bees
is a comfy, down home natural skin care line with some great products at wonderful prices. They recently sent a few products to test, and two standouts are the Cucumber and Aloe Sheer Body Lotion ($10) and the Peach and Willow Bark Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Towelettes ($6).

Burts Bees Sheer Body Lotion

When the weather gets warmer, I tend to stay away from body lotion. It just feels heavy and sticky, and I want sheer and light. The Cucumber and Aloe Sheer Body Lotion gives the hydration I love from body lotion, but it doesn’t give me wet, greasy skin. This magical lotion sprays on and smooths into skin so quickly it amazes me every time. The cucumber scent is light, fresh, and clean. The aloe makes it a great lotion after spending too much time in the sun, too. The Sheer Body Lotion also comes in two other scents – Violet & Mango and Clementine & Calla Lilly. I love the formula so I am definitely going to be checking out the other scents as well.

Burts Bees Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Towelettes

I am a huge fan of facial cleansing cloths in the summer. I always have some in my beach bag and when it’s hot out nothing refreshes as wonderfully as facial cloths. The Peach and Willow Bark Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Towelettes not only wipe away sweat, dirt, and makeup, they also gently exfoliate and lift away dead skin cells. Even though they exfoliate, the cleansing cloths aren’t rough, so if no worries if you have sensitive skin.  They smell like fresh peaches and are truly refreshing.

Burt Shavitz may have started his company with beeswax from his beehives, but now there are a myriad of skin care products made with the same simple philosophy of products made with the best nature has to offer. Take a closer look at this line next time you are at the store and I definitely recommend putting the Sheer Body Lotion and the Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Towelettes into your shopping basket!  – Lisa
