Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cream Blush makes me blush pretty

Tarina Tarantino and cream blush go together like Mickey & Minnie, Romeo & Juliet and Lucy & Desi.  I can’t think of one without the other.

When we received the Tarina Tarintino Dollskin Cheek Cream Blush for review I was doing a little happy dance. When I started using them I was doing a jitterbug and watusi. They are exactly what I look for in a cream blush. Actually these Tarina Tartanino products are more than a cream blush. There are two complementary sides – the wonderful cream blush and a sparkle powder called Sparklicity.

There are two shades available and both are flattering colors. It would be impossible to pick a favorite. On my cool, fair skin Coral Cameo is a more universal shade. It’s more of a peachy pink and it works with just about everything I wear. Mr. Pink is a very cool toned pink that is ideal for purples, blues and grays. Mr. Pink can look almost scary bright in the compact but in reality is a beautiful “out of the cold” color once on. While Coral Cameo looks great with all shades, I crave Mr. Pink at other times. I can’t choose, don’t make me.

The texture of the Dollskin Cheek Cream Blush is stiffer than many other brands. I say that lovingly because once they are on I never feel tackiness or rubbing them off. The cream to powder texture is made to hold the Sparklicity powders. They last quite well on me. I can apply them with my finger but I much prefer a brush like the Nars Yachiyo Kabuki Brush or the Japonesque Kabuki that’s less expensive. The uneven bristles give a soft, more diffused look to the blush.  There aren’t uneven edges on your cheeks this way either, just a soft and natural looking color.

The shimmered powders add a unique touch to the blushes. Using the same brush I can apply a small amount to amp up for evening. Coral Cameo is accompanied by a dark golden sparkle while Mr. Pink a light creamy shade with a touch of gold. I’ve barely touched the Sparklicity powders though since I don’t live that kind of lifestyle. But they don’t affect the blush and they are there if I want them.

Tarina Tarintino Dollskin Cheek Cream Blush has moved to the top of my blush love list which is quite an accomplishment. As a cream blush aficionado I’ve tried all I can, so I feel I have some expertise. These get two thumbs up just like Ben & Jerry do in my world.

Tarina Tarintino is now sold exclusively on her website. There are some amazing products on there that go beyond cosmetics. Check the site out now and I’m betting you’ll find some terrific items for yourself and gifts. Do you have any Tarina Tarintino products? I’ve got some eyeliners to share later but I’m eyeing a lot more there. — Marcia
