I’m not exactly sure which Viseart Palette this is but whatever the name or number, I love it. This was a gift to me from my blog partner Lisa. She had bought it and didn’t think the shades were great for her but she knows I love my browns. I think that if you bought Sultry Muse you’d find it matched this very closely.
When I first saw the palette it honestly didn’t look that thrilling but the more I started hearing about the brand the more I realized I needed to start using it. And once I started, I didn’t want to stop. The quality of this is superb. I love eyeshadow and have a lot (ahem, more than a lot). With so many to compare as to quality, smoothness, pigmentation, and lasting power, this Viseart palette is one of the best I’ve tried.
The top row consists of a cream that is soft and smooth, it’s a great brightener and browbone accent shade. The 2nd shade is brighter and a little glowy but the glow comes from within. There is no shimmer or sparkle, it’s just the amazing consistency of the shadows. 3rd is a light peach that works so well with browns and purples. The 4th one in this row is a yellow gold that can be subtle or bright, it’s up to you. Every one of these 4 shadows has a luminous quality about them.
The middle row is where we start seeing some color. I love all but the first shade. That shade has too much orange for me. In the palette it looks like an orange based brown but it just doesn’t work with my cool toned skin. The silver is stunning once on. It too is luminous and very striking. Because it has no shimmer/glitter it makes it more sophisticated. The third shade is one I get a ton of use from. It’s a great lid shade for the browns in the palette. Last in this row is a beautiful taupe. OMG do I love this one.
The bottom row are all very wearable gorgeous shades. These don’t have that luminous quality but they are all satins and apply like a dream. First is a neutral brown that is much prettier on than in a swatch. 2nd is a brown that’s slightly darker and warmer. 3rd is a gawgeous purple toned brown. This one isn’t as smooth to the touch but you won’t notice a difference once it’s on. Last reminds me of Marsala, there’s a lot of plum to it; it’s a dark mauve.
The palettes are expensive at $80 per but per shadow cost is $6.50. There are 2 shades that I’m not crazy about so that makes it $8 per which is fine by me. The packaging is nothing special. It’s a plastic palette with a clear top. The money was put into product, nothing else.
The saddest thing is how difficult it is to find Viseart palettes. Sephora is always sold out (put yourself on an email notification list). Muse Beauty has 4 palettes but their shipping charge rules out me buying ($13.70 for one palette). CRC (Camera Ready Cosmetics) though has 4 palettes in stock and shipping is free! Paris Nude will be mine sometime this week!! I can not wait.
