Vegan haircare with Nubian Heritage

Do you use the same old hair products all the time? Are you stuck in a rut? Do you want to have better looking hair? If you answered yes then you are in the right place because you are going to learn about Nubian Heritage and their relaunched Olive Oil Hair Care that is now vegan.

Nubian Heritage has always impressed me with their philosophy of sourcing indigenous ingredients across the globe to create modern wellness solutions. The two owners set about to bring the healing traditions of African Black Soap and Shea Butter to their community. They believe in traditional healing practices and cultural wisdom and mix them with modern wellness solutions for hair and skin.

Nubian Heritage Olive Oil Vegan Shampoo and Conditioner

As shown by the relaunch of Olive Oil Hair Care they are not content to rest on their laurels. Experimentation was done to improve what they’d already done. There are 5 products in this line:

  • Shampoo – Gentle, color-safe shampoo that effectively cleanses and reveals shiny and luminous hair (SRP: $11.99)
  • Conditioner – Treats dehydrated, tangled, dull hair and leaves hair soft with a natural, high-gloss shine (SRP $11.99)
  • Deep Treatment Masque – Delivers intense moisture that helps smooth cuticles and enhance shine, leaving hair silky, smooth, and vibrant (SRP $14.99)
  • Styling Mousse – Adds body, texture, and definition to natural curls that helps tame frizz and enhance shine for vibrant, defined curls (SRP $11.99)
  • Leave-In Conditioner – Hydrates and leaves hair tangle-free while working to improve softness and manageability, leaving hair with a healthy shine and ready to style (SRP $12.99)

The two products I’m using (shampoo and conditioner) are 12 fl. oz and have this wonderful price.

I noticed an immediate difference in my hair when I started using the Vegan Olive Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. These were created to hydrate and revive. These products are good for good for color-treated hair as well as chemically treated hair and I’ve noticed less fading with these. I also enjoy that it’s enriched with extra-moisturizing Olive and Moringa Oils. According to Nubian Heritage these contain rich Quinoa which effectively cleanses while providing a boost of moisture and shine to help reveal silky, luminous hair.

Nubian Heritage Olive Oil Vegan Shampoo

The Olive Oil Vegan Shampoo has a rich luminous quality to it. About a teaspoonful is enough to cleanse my shoulder length hair with a nice amount of suds. My hair feels great after. The Olive Oil Vegan Conditioner is very lightweight and I needed more than I typically do so that my hair would be smooth. I leave it in for at least 3 minutes before rinsing. That way it’s doing a better job to boost the softness of my hair.

While I don’t have the Leave-In Conditioner I wish I did to help further hydrate and manage my hair. But with the products I already have my hair has been looking just how I like it. I wash my hair every three days but even if I have to tack on an extra day my hair still looks and feels swingy and soft.

Before I leave I need to mention fragrance since that’s so important to me. Great news is that I don’t notice a fragrance. If I stick my nose right in it there might be a teeny bit but it’s not really there. That gives this a double thumbs up for me.  —  Marcia

This is such a great brand! My hair tends to dry out in the winter so I’ll keep this in mind.

While I don’t mind a nice fragrance in my hair products, I would rather it have nothing at all than me gross or too strong. Good to know these don’t have much of any!
