MARCIA RECOMMENDS TREE HUT MATCHA MOJITO and COCO COLADA
Normally you’ll find Lisa reviewing anything with coconut on Beauty Info Zone but I grabbed onto Coco Colada when we were divvying up. I wanted the opportunity to indulge in some coconut delightfulness for a change. What stands out about Coco Colada is that it has both the smell of coconut and pineapple. When I was on a cruise my biggest indulgence was ordering a frozen Pina Colada and this comes as close as possible without adding any calories.
With coconut you get the moisturizing your skin needs year round and with the pineapple you are adding some Vitamin C into your prep. I love a sugar scrub because of the gentleness of it. I use it in the shower and get rid of the dryness that causes body “lint”. Then using a washcloth I rinse the luscious smelling Coco Colada off leaving my skin softer and smelling oh so vacationlike.
Matcha Mojito is totally different. The fragrance of Matcha Mojito is a little more pungent though I don’t mean that in a negative way. While Coco Cabana is sweet, Matcha Mojito is tart. It contains Green Tea, Mint, and Lime Extracts so that makes it a stronger smell. One that will remind you of being at an island paradise.
Like the other Shea Sugar Scrubs this adds moisture and exfoliates at the same time. I don’t find my skin oily after using them but I do notice a light lingering fragrance. Sniff and you’ll feel like your troubles are whisked away.
These gentle sugar scrubs are formulated with Certified Shea Butter, and an array of natural oils, including Evening Primrose, Safflower Seed, Sweet Almond, Avocado, and Orange Oil. It provides intense exfoliation that leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. Their products are Paraben Free and DMDM Free.
LISA RECOMMENDS TROPICAL MANGO and COCONUT LIME
Well, Marcia snagged the Coco Colada, but I still got my coconut on with one of my Tree Hut scrubs!
I love exfoliating body scrubs especially when prepping for a spray tan or any other type of faux tanner. I like a scrub that does the job without tearing up my skin and Tree Hut scrubs not only do this, they also smell fabulous and treat skin in other ways as well. Both of my scrubs get me right into a summery mood – Tropical Mango and Coconut Lime.
The Tropical Mango Shea Sugar Scrub (normally $8.99, but I found it on Amazon for $5.99) smells so good it actually makes my mouth water. It smells of a delicious ripe mango – so real it’s quite impressive. Makes sense the main ingredient is actual mango puree, which is incredibly good for skin with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It also has orange oil, which is very healing for irritated or dry, scaly skin.
The Coconut Lime Shea Sugar Scrub ($8.99) gives me my coconut fix, along with a shot of zesty lime. It is a delightful coconut scent with just enough of the lime…too much of that lime makes body products remind me of house cleaning products, which is not something I want to smell like. Tree Hut got this scent just right, however! It does smell like summer with a clean fresh breeze. The ingredients in this one are great – the coconut extract has tons of skin-conditioning fatty acids, proteins, and complex B vitamins. Plus, the lime extract helps get rid of bacteria, so you’ll find your skin breaking out less.
These scrubs are very gentle, but they are also work horses when it comes to exfoliating thanks to the whole sugar grains. The exfoliating power combined with mega-hydrating shea nut oil (which has lots of vitamin C) make Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrubs an excellent choice for super soft summer skin.
