There’s nothing like a Spa Night with Pixi

With Mother’s Day right around the corner we seem to be scrambling for something wonderful to gift. Pixi Beauty, which is a favorite of ours, has a Spa Night In kit that would be wonderful to send as a gift to any female you know (including yourself) in these uncertain times. If we don’t pamper ourselves now we’ll be sorry later.

The SPA NIGHT IN kit is $74 and available only on pixibeauty.com though you can buy the pieces separately without the savings. What’s in this kit? HYDRATING MILKY PEEL ($24) which is one of Pixi’s newest products and from their new Hydrating Milk collection. GLOW MUD MASK ($22) part of the glow team that Pixi is so well known for. DETOXIFEYE ($24) for your precious eye area. And IN-SHOWER STEAM FACIAL ($22), a unique type of skincare item. Separately these would be $92 but the kit is $74.

Let’s take a look at each piece separately. I have a high regard for everything in this set and I’m most excited about two I hadn’t tried before.

HYDRATING MILKY PEEL is new to me since I haven’t had the chance before to try any of the Hydrating Milk collection. Up until now I’ve been using Peel & Polish religiously with one always in my shower. But now that I’ve gotten the taste of Hydrating Milky Peel, my Peel & Polish is on a vacation. Both work the same as they are gentle  creams that clears away dead skin cells in order to delicately brighten your complexion.  Start with dry skin, apply the peel and leave it on for just 2-3 minutes, then gently massage it into your skin and wash away. Milky is a little less scrubby and has more of a flowery aroma but both seem to be great for my pores.

  • The deeply moisturizing formula of this gentle exfoliating cream is enriched with Natural Cellulose.
  • The benefits of this gentle micro-peeling cream are enhanced by nourishing Coconut and skin-balancing and protecting Probiotics.
  • Arginine is included to encourage collagen and elastin production plus its antioxidant benefits.
  • Other skin-loving botanical ingredients include Willow Bark Extract, Cinnamon Extract and more.
  • Pixi Skintreats HYDRATING MILKY PEEL

IN-SHOWER STEAM FACIAL is also new to me and is a real treat (or Skintreat as Pixi says). What’s so cool to me is that In-Shower Steam Facial not only nourishes and deeply cleanses as heat is released but when massaged onto skin it transforms the gel into an oil. If you can leave it on during your entire shower or bath it works even better leaving your skin incredibly soft. I’ve never tried anything like this so it’s a real treat.

  • • Acacia Collagen plumps & boosts elasticity
    • Peptides firm & revitalize
    • Lavender calms & soothes

GLOW MUD MASK is a mask I’d use every other week on a regular basis. Mud Masks help draw out impurities in your skin. My nose has those visible pores and using Glow Mud Mask, especially before I use the peel, makes my pores look clean and clear. I love the combination. This is a 15 minute mask that dries down so you can go about your business. Even with dry skin I find I need to use this to brighten my skin.

• Kaolin Clay deep cleanses & purifies
• Sea Salt is a mineral-rich detoxifier
• Ginseng brightens & clarifies

Our eyes want spa time too. I take extra care of my eyes since that’s where my age is going to really show. DetoxifEYE is one of three different eye masks from Pixi Skintreats. These are slippery slidy masks for under eyes that you leave on for 10 minutes. The jar comes with the spoon/spatula which you’ll need to get one out and separated. Once out make sure the thickest part is at the outer corner. Then lean back and let your patch go to work.

The result is eyes without the puffiness that look like you had a spa day/night but without the cost. They feel amazingly refreshing and can be used daily if you wish. Since it has hyaluronic acid as one of the ingredients I knew I’d love them from the get-go. After removing the patch massage that serum into your skin to keep the goodness going. Under-eyes are revived, refreshed and rehydrated.

• Caffeine depuffs & energizes
• Cucumber soothes & calms
• Gold nourishes & fortifies

Now can you see why this will make such a great gift? If you want it, leave your computer open to this review and maybe a loved one will get the hint. Or else pick up the SPA NIGHT IN KIT on Pixi’s website to send to someone who deserves it.  —  Marcia

I always get excited when I see blog posts about Pixi skincare cause I am always curious to see how everyone else likes it! I love the entire milky line especially that peel because it’s so gentle (I like it much better than the other peel in orange tube – forgot the full name!)
