Susanne Kaufman Nourishing Hand Cream

Hand washing is having its day in the sun due to COVID-19. We are instructed to furiously scrub away at our hands several times a day—our life literally depends on it! Unfortunately, all of the hot water and soap leave my hands feeling dry with rough patches between my fingers. During colder weather I often develop rough patches on my hands too. I recently strayed and tried using new hand creams, but I found my way back to my tried and true favorite—Susanne Kaufmann Nourishing Hand Cream.

Susanne Kaufmann comes from the Bregenzer Forest in the Alps. Her holistic skin and bath/body line incorporate organic, plant-based remedies.  Kaufmann’s website is not set up for sales in the USA, but you can purchase many of her products where I do, The white cream has a very faint floral blend scent, but more in a “gee this smells good” way vs. a sharp/heady floral. It is not a strong fragrance—once you’ve applied it, it’s faint. The cream absorbs well into the skin and does not leave your hands feeling coated or greasy. My hands also appear less weathered using this hand cream. When I first started using it several years ago, I noticed an improvement in my hands within a week. Using the cream daily keeps my hands in good shape.

The reason I tried some different hand creams is due to the SK price—it is $48.00 for 1.7 ounces. A jar used daily lasts me about 3 months. After trying others, I was reminded that other creams don’t yield the same results so I decided this is worth the splurge for me. I try to keep an eye out when Beautyhabit runs specials or a great GWP (which they do!) and offer free shipping over $75.00. If you buy 2 hand creams at the same time, you have met your free shipping amount!

If COVID handwashing is stressing your hands as it was mine, give Susanne Kaufmann’s Nourishing Hand Cream a try. (I received no compensation or product for my review—-just a huge fan of the product.)  –  Beth

While it sounds nice I feel like that price is just way to high for the amount you get and for a hand creme in general.
