Sunscreen in January? Absolutely says Bull Frog, Ocean Potion and NO-AD. There’s a giveaway too.

It doesn’t matter if it’s January, February, March, August, September – what matters is that the sun is out there and you need to be protected from the dangers of it year round. We all love sunny days, it lifts our mood especially when it’s the dreary days of winter, it gives us valuable Vitamin D, it helps crops grow. But it also is not the best thing for your skin. Using an SPF product is important for all of us and today I have 3 very easy to apply sunscreens that are SPF 50 to share with you.

Ocean Potion, Bull Frog, No-AD sunscreens SPF50
samples, affliates

All three of the brands I’m sharing with you are TSA screening friendly. None are lotions and all three are great for daily use and perfect for travel. “To travel without sun protection is a mistake. According to The American Academy of Dermatology, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.” Since I’ll soon be traveling, the three sunscreens I’m talking about today are all coming with me. They’ll be small enough to put in a pocket to easily reapply throughout the long tour days I’ll be involved with. I’m also recommending these for everyone who enjoys winter sports whether it’s downhill skiing, cross country skiing or even building snowmen.

NO-AD Sun Care 50 Sport is a paraben-free body and face sunscreen stick with Broad Spectrum SPF50. It’s water resistant for 80 minutes before it’s recommended you reapply.

NO-AD Sun Care 50 Sport

This applies clearly without a white cast and it’s fragrance-free. (PABA-, paraben-, retinyl palmitate-free. Water- and sweat-resistant) I think it’s an excellent body sunscreen since it’s big enough to cover larger spaces easily. There’s absolutely no mess with NO-AD Sport Sunscreen Stick.

NO-AD Sun Care 50 Sport

Bull Frog Land Sport Quick Stick is like a big lipbalm as far as size. The texture of this is softer and applies white but then becomes clear. It’s not greasy at all, it’s a clear zinc formula that doesn’t leave a white residue.

This Bull Frog sunscreen doesn’t drag at all when you apply it. It’s on the soft side which makes it easy for smaller places like your nose, ears, lips, and scalp. This is not only PABA and paraben free but it contains no Avobenzone or Oxybenzone.

If you know me then you know that I’m happy that it’s fragrance free. It has broad spectrum protection and is water and sweat resistant for 80 minutes.

Ocean Potion Dab-On Spot Stick Sunscreen is my favorite of the three even though I still need the others.

Ocean Potion Dab-On Spot Stick Sunscreen

Ocean Potion Dab-On Spot Stick Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Quik Stick has a different consistency than the other two. This is a liquid in a dab on container. This Ocean Potion sunscreen is great for all your warm weather trips since it won’t melt. It’s small and portable which makes it especially easy to take along.

It can be used under cosmetics and it dries quickly to a matte finish. Fragrance free!!!! Yes. It too is PABA, paraben, and oxybenzone-free. I’ll be reapplying this on my nose and cheeks and also on my husband’s bald spot (don’t tell him I revealed that).

It’s so easy for me to recommend these products to you. All are reasonably priced, all are fragrance-free, and all have SPF 50 which will help your skin every day.  —  Marcia

I do not remember to reapply nearly as often as I should. I use it when I am putting on makeup but thebdaysvi don’t wear any I sometimes forget.

  2. Amanda Stovall | 26th Jan 18

My moisturizers & makeup have SPF already in them so my face is protected to an extent. And in the summertime, I’m good about remembering to use sunscreen on the rest of my skin. It’s during the other seasons I tend to forget that sunscreen is still necessary. Thanks!

  3. Sharon Rooney | 26th Jan 18

Unless I’m going to the beach, pool or going to be outside all day I normally don’t apply sunscreen. All of my makeup does have SPF in it.
When I’m at the beach or pool I reapply every couple of hours or when I come out of the water.

I use it every day when I go out. In winter, my face and hands, for the rest of the year, anywhere that is exposed and I wear a hat. I also bring some with me to reapply. This brand sounds WONDERFUL! I’d love to try it, it may be my new fav!

I have tried the top 2 but not the last one definitely going to stock up on that!! Skin cancer is no joke my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma at the end of April last year he has had 6 surgeries and now has to have at least a year of treatment and that just started 2 days after Christmas so please wear sunscreen everyday!! He has always worked construction and has had to wear long sleeves and pants and has only been in the sun a couple of times since we have married and I am not joking!! So please protect your skin it only takes one time!! I hope that one person reads this and takes my advise!! This has truly been the hardest thing I have had to go through and I don’t wish it on my worst enemy!!
