Summer Skincare from MURAD that gives back

Good things happen with good products and that’s what MURAD is all about while celebrating their 30th anniversary. In honor of this momentous time they are partnering with City of Hope, a California based cancer treatment and research center. For every product purchased from the brand’s Hydration line from June 1st – June 30th, Murad will donate one of their beloved SPF products to City of Hope, with a minimum product donation of 20,000 units. Beyond this donation effort, Murad will be presenting City of Hope with $40,000 to help further their treatment and research of cancer.  If that doesn’t make your heart fuller than nothing will (my opinion).

Some of the products in Murad’s Hydration line are now available in limited-edition packaging for a fresh new look and feel.

I was fortunate enough to be sent two of these products and am enjoying them both while I’m using them and after when my skin shows the results of their use.

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser and Prebiotic 3-in-1 MultiMist

There are 5 steps in this regime as you can see above. I chose Step 1 Cleanse and Step 4 Boost to share today. I have used other products in the Hydration line that I really enjoy using, especially Invisiblur Perfecting Shield and Revitalixir Recovery Serum (not shown) so I knew that whatever I chose would be a hit.

MURAD AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser

MURAD AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser is to be used 2-3 times weekly. I find it to be gentle enough to be able to use it more often but I always start off following directions.

MURAD AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser

Intensive triple-action exfoliator with a proprietary blend of salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids polishes away dull, dry skin without irritation. Reveals smoother texture and a brighter, younger-looking complexion.

I love that this is fragrance free as well as cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny certified). It feels gentle on my skin and the exfoliation isn’t harsh. Jojoba beads make up the physical exfoliation part as it manually exfoliates and helps remove dull, dry skin. Salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids do the gentle exfoliation to help reveal softer, smoother skin and encourage cell turnover. Sodium PCA attracts and helps skin retain moisture and elasticity. These are the reasons I’d like to use this more often.

MURAD AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser

MURAD Prebiotic 3-in-1 MultiMist is step 4 in this hydration routine. This lovely spray can be used prior to makeup as a primer or after you’ve completed your makeup and want to set your makeup. Plus it can be used during the day to just refresh everything.

What makes this so special is that it deeply hydrates and replenishes with probiotics. It has a very slight fragrance when I first spray it but it’s gone within seconds. I really enjoy using this as a primer since it dries quickly and is lightweight yet my foundation is staying on longer and looks smoother. In the summer I don’t like anything heavy on my face yet I want my complexion to look even. That’s where Murad’s Prebiotic 3-in-1 comes into play.

I not only recommend these two products as well as others in the Hydration line but there are ways to save money on them. At the moment Mr. Rebates has a 5% rebate for Murad and Rakuten/Ebates has 4% for Murad. Plus if you’ve never ordered from the Murad site you can sign up to get 20% off your first order. Do yourself and others a favor with deluxe skincare that helps City of Hope and all of us with cancer research.  —  Marcia
