Retinol (and that’s not all) with Oz Naturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5™ Retinol Serum

Every skin care routine should include the four basics:  cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer.  For me, the fun part of skin care is in finding the right combination of products.  I am forever tweaking my routine, and one of the most fascinating to play with is the serum.  There are so many fabulous treatment options available with effective ingredients that give great results.  It’s wonderful to find something new and exciting, and a line that always has impressive treatment serums is Oz Naturals.

OzNaturals is a holistic and environmentally friendly brand created using no potentially harmful synthetic chemicals, including parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals and sulfates.  All their serums are packaged in glass bottles (in amber glass if they need to be protected from light) and all come with a dropper delivery system that ensures freshness, potency, and ease of use.

One of my favorite serums is the OZNaturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which I previously reviewed HERE.  It pairs beautifully with another OZNaturals serum that I have been testing, the Pro-Retaxinol 2.5™ Retinol Serum ($17.95).  The Pro-Retaxinol 2.5™ Retinol Serum has hyaluronic acid as one of the main ingredients, which is terrific because as skin ages, it loses hyaluronic acid which means less elasticity and more wrinkles. So adding hyaluronic acid back with a great serum increases collagen production, plumps up skin, and increases elasticity.  In addition, the Pro-Retaxinol 2.5™ Retinol Serum has these great ingredients:

ASTAXANTHIN: This renowned super-antioxidant addresses a broad spectrum of anti-aging concerns with antioxidant action up to 6,000 time stronger than Vitamin C.

VITAMIN E: An antioxidant that strengthens the skin’s barrier function and helps to prevent dehydration and damage.

RETINOL: actually the name for the entire vitamin A molecule. It is amazing for skin – it smooths, firms, and fights free radicals.  Basically, it makes skin look younger!  Something many don’t understand is that it’s actually better to use a serum that has a combination of anti-aging products as opposed to one with just a high percentage of retinol.  Everyone’s skin needs more than one ingredient – there isn’t anything out there that will cure every issue.  The mix of retinol, astaxanthin, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E is fantastic, and you can add more hyaluronic acid from another serum to boost the amount of that ingredient as well.

Overall, OZNaturals Pro-Retaxinol 2.5™ Retinol Serum leaves skin glowing.  It reduces fine lines and wrinkles, plumps skin, stimulates collagen production, and evens out skin tone.  It reduces pore size and lightens hyperpigmentation.  Plus, this serum is 99% natural and is made using the cold pressed method, which means it has higher potency, doesn’t irritate skin, and is hypoallergenic.

As with all OZNaturals products, the Pro-Retaxinol 2.5™ Retinol Serum has no fragrance and no parabens. I love that it isn’t sticky or tacky at all. In fact, I find it to be a lightweight serum that dries down quickly. I use it every morning and every evening after cleansing and toning, before moisturizing. I especially concentrate around my eyes and lip area, and at night I will also add in some of the OZNaturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum to further boost the hyaluronic acid content.

OzNaturals is so confident in this serum they offer a 30 day money back guarantee. I highly recommend the Pro-Retaxinol 2.5™ RetinolSerum and hope that you take a look at the rest of the excellent OZNaturals skin care line up, which is available at both the OZNaturals website and Amazon with free shipping. – Lisa

I used this serum several years ago, and I thought it was terrific. Right now, I am drowning in retinol products and serums, but when I need more, I intend to buy this. It’s excellent as well as affordable!

This seems like a perfect blend of all the right ingredients. I’m a fan of both Retinol and HA so I am going to look into this one.

Every time I see an Oz Naturals product, I get excited. But I’m not a fan of witch hazel.

I’ve heard nice things about this brand. I’m pretty sure I have tried something from them in the past. Vitamin C if I’m not mistaken

This is a really nice serum. It’s effective but buffered to be gentle and it’s one that I regularly recommend to beginners.

I am such a “girly girl” in terms of makeup but I am seriously CLUELESS – I had no idea about the 4 parts of a good cleansing system – I definitely need to change my skincare routine up

Retinol is a holy grail ingredient in my routine! I can’t imagine going a day without it.

I haven’t used Retinol products as of yet, but as I am getting older I really need to look into it.
