Paula’s Choice Resist 1% Retinol Booster and Hyaluronic Acid Booster – how are they different?

Paula’s Choice Resist 1% Retinol Booster and Hyaluronic Acid Booster

I am all in favor of a boost. Why not? I love my morning cuppa Joe for a little boost, a ‘Hey you look pretty today!” for a boost, and a few drops of fabulous treatment to boost my skin care regimen. I’ve been testing two different boosters from Paula’s Choice – the Resist Anti-Aging 1% Retinol Booster and the Resist Hyaluronic Acid Booster and am anxious to tell you about both of these awesome – and very different from one another – skin care boosters.

Paula’s Choice Resist 1% Retinol Booster

Paula’s Choice Resist 1% Retinol Booster

The Resist Anti-Aging 1% Retinol Booster ($52) has three main purposes:  even out skin tone, reduce wrinkles, and make skin feel smoother. This is pure retinol that you can either use by itself or else add to a serum or moisturizer that you are already using. Retinol is full of peptides that skin absolutely loves — they make skin look fantastic; glowy, firm, and youthful. Pores look smaller, wrinkles shrink, and dark spots fade. This is the choice for you if you have uneven skin tone and combination to oily skin. You will have to experiment to see how much your skin can tolerate. I use this every night and my skin absolutely loves it, but some may only want to use it a few times a week. It’s certainly a personal thing and you will want to play around and see what works for you. But once you find your sweet spot, it’s really magical and an even better boost than that morning cuppa Joe.

The Hyaluronic Acid Booster $46 is a different sort of booster. Hyaluronic acid is a fantastic moisturizer that really plumps up skin like no other ingredient. It fills in fine lines and wrinkles from the inside and makes skin look incredibly beautiful and youthful. It’s especially fabulous around the eyes and on that crepey skin on the neck and decolletage area – the results are instantaneous. Like the 1% Retinol Booster, you can use this alone or with a serum or moisturizer. I like to use it by itself and then follow it with my moisturizer. I typically use this in the morning and use the 1% Retinol Booster at night. My only gripe about the Hyaluronic Acid Booster is that once you get over half way through the product, it starts getting difficult to get the product out of the dropper bottle. It’s not impossible, but it’s a little annoying.

Right now, the Paula’s Choice Valentine’s Day special of 20% off any order over $65 plus free shipping is still going on, so take advantage!  Happy shopping!  – Lisa
