nügg Beauty knows masks!

My definition of masks has been changed in the last two months. I now have to admit that most of us think of masks as this:

But my definition of masking are ones like these from nügg Beauty. After all I want my inside face to be its best and save my outside mask for my few times away from home.

nügg Beauty

nügg Beauty carries a large variety of masks including gel masks in different variations and mud masks. I’ve yet to try the cute little packages they sell but I have been using the two shown in the above picture.

The most unusual are the two pouches that they carry ($9.99). These two are terrific because you’ll get up to 30 uses from them. As you can see by the screw on top, they are reusable. Use what you need and then screw the top back on for many more uses. Morning Glow is a watermelon sleeping mask and Aqua Boost is a hydrating gel & sleep mask.

nügg Beauty Morning Glow and Aqua Boost pouches

I’ve been using Morning Glow once a week as a sleeping mask although you can easily use it as a daytime mask to pump up your skin. I like everything that nügg Beauty has used in this mask as well as how well it treats my skin. The ingredients really work to bring me a soft hydrated finish to my skin in the morning. Once it dries down on my skin I can use another moisturizer over it but I prefer to let this just do its job.

  • Watermelon Extract, to promote cell regeneration, moisturize and exfoliate the skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid boosts the skin’s hydration levels while reducing the appearance of fine lines.
  • Glacier Water infused Aloe Juice, to help soothe skin and to balance a healthy pH level.
  • NO chemical emulsifiers or surfactants, so it does not disrupt the skin’s delicate natural barrier and does not irritate sensitive skin.

This isn’t fragrance free but it might as well be since I don’t notice the light watermelon aroma until about 15 minutes after application and within minutes I don’t notice it at all. This is a lightweight gel that is free of parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, synthetic colors and fragrances plus it’s certified cruelty-free by Leaping Bunny.

nügg Beauty Aqua Boost

nügg Beauty Aqua Boost is similar in texture and use as Morning Glow but it’s more hydrating. It’s noted to be used as a face mask to leave on clean, dry skin for up to 15 minutes. It too can be used as an overnight sleep mask. This is a super gentle gel that you can use several times a week. It’s meant to get rid of dryness, not create it. Ingredients again are excellent and beneficial.

  • Camellia Seed Oil is an excellent moisturizer and serves to supplement the skin lipid barrier to help retain moisture.
  • Rosehip Oil is loaded with skin-nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids that help skin cells retain water, and is ideal for hydrating dry, sensitive skin.
  • Aloe Juice, known for its soothing and antibacterial properties, instantly hydrates and eliminates any dry or rough areas.

nügg Beauty Miracle Mud Super Detox Treatment Mask

nügg Beauty Miracle Mud Super Detox Treatment Mask will remind you of the mud masks you’ve tried before. This is great for clearing pores and attacking excess oil. Leave it on for 10 minutes before washing off. With ingredients like Limonene, Citrus Limon Peel Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Juniper Fruit Oil and Sage Oil the smell is great and different than the muddy one you’ve sensed before.

  • Kaolin Clay: a gentle cleanser that absorbs impurities and excess oil without causing irritation or redness.
  • Charcoal: Draws bacteria, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the surface of the skin, helping to achieve a clearer complexion.
  • Vitamin C: Potent anti-oxidant neutralizes free radicals and helps brighten skin.
  • Salicylic acid & Lactic acid: Removes dead skin cells and bacteria from skin, penetrates pores to dissolve dead skin cells and purify clogged pores.
