Nude and fat work with Merle Norman Inner Eyeliner and Fat Lash Mascara!

It’s all about eyes today with Merle Norman!  This line continues to impress me. I tried Merle Norman for the first time less than a year ago and ever since then I have been a convert. Today I have two eye products for review:  the Nude Inner Eyeliner and the Fat Lash Mascara. Normally the combination of nude and fat isn’t on my list of favorite things, but this time the combo worked out great.

The Merle Norman Nude Inner Eyeliner ($20) is a yellow-toned super creamy eyeliner for the upper and lower waterline. The shade is great for those with light to tan skin tones. On the waterline it makes eyes appear wider and helps to disguise any redness. Overall it makes eyes look brighter and more awake.

The pencil is thin enough for easy application to the waterline and creamy enough so application doesn’t involve anything painful like tugging. The wear is better than typical for a waterline – it definitely doesn’t wear off immediately like many inner eyeliners and it almost lasts an entire day. If you are going to be having an extremely long day you might want to keep the pencil on hand for minor touch-ups. You can also use the Nude Inner Eyeliner on the inner corner of eyes to make eyes look bigger and brighter. This pencil is waterproof, ophthalmologist tested, fragrance-free, and gluten-free. It also won the Beauty Innovator Award from DailyGlow.com.  If you don’t have a nude waterline pencil in your arsenal, the Nude Inner Eyeliner is an excellent choice.

Now that my eyes look nice and bright I need to frame them with some great lashes. I am always excited to try a new mascara so I was happy to pair nude and fat with Merle Norman Fat Lash Mascara ($23.00). The Fat Lash Mascara features an interesting wand. It’s not too big or too small, and it is curved, full, and flat all at the same time. I like curved brushes but I use them backwards – I find that using the outside of the curve makes it even easier to apply for my eye shape. The flat side is great for getting those super fine lashes, which for me are on my bottom lash line.

Fat Lash Mascara gives me both volume and length. Neither is incredibly extreme, but both are pretty perfect. My lashes almost touch my brows but not quite. I get volume as well as good separation of lashes. By the end of the day, I have no flakes and no smudging. However, in spite of holding on like a champ throughout the day this is a wonderfully easy mascara to remove at night.

Fat Lash Mascara is ophthalmologist tested, safe for contact lens wearers, fragrance-free, oil-free, and gluten-free.  I really enjoy this mascara and it is firmly on my ‘must purchase’ list. If you want to get nude and fat with Merle Norman, you can do so even if your in-person store isn’t open yet.  Just go online to www.merlenorman.com.  – Lisa

Your lashes are so long! Wow! I’ve never tried a nude liner – but it would totally give a nice natural look and I’m getting into that with the summer months approaching (so hot here in Arizona). 🙂

When I worked at Merle Norman, one of the products I liked best was their eyeliners!

Where do I recognize that name, Merle Norman? I know I’m going to be smacking myself later for not knowing where I know that name. Anyway, I like how the mascara and liner looked on the eyes.
