My before and afters with Skinuva™ Scar!

I like a well-placed scar on a tall, dark, handsome man with a mysterious past.  That’s a scar that I don’t necessarily want faded away…but the scar under my chin that I earned slipping in the grocery store parking lot during an ice storm last winter?  The one I incurred as my bag of sundries went sky-high – the products that good Samaritans so helpfully ran over to pick up for me, as I died inside knowing they were gathering all the items that I had bought to prep for my upcoming colonoscopy?  Yes, that scar I want gone gone gone.  That scar I have been faithfully treating twice a day, every day, for the past four months with Skinuva™ Scar, a physician-designed scar therapy that uses growth factors within a silicone cream matrix to help improve the appearance of scars.

My first question was – will Skinuva™ Scar make my scar completely disappear?  The answer is maybe…and maybe not.  What the clinical tests show is that Skinuva™ Scar improves the appearance of scars nearly two-times better when compared to regular silicone cream.  The gel is fragrance-free and it has a slippery, viscous texture.  The ingredients include selective growth factors that mimic scarless fetal healing.

The growth factors are medical grade and synthetic, not human, stem-cell, or plant derived.  This guarantees the sterility, safety, and efficacy of the growth factors, and there is a wealth of medical literature that supports the healing properties.  Another plus – Skinuva™ Scar never engages in animal testing, not during their clinical development and testing stages or at any other time.  They are 100% cruelty-free.

There are many other scar creams out there, but what sets Skinuva™ Scar apart is it is “the only one that uses selective growth factors and other ingredients that have been shown to help improve the appearance of scars using peer-reviewed medical literature.”

Skinuva™ Scar is easy to use.  Just apply the gel to the scar twice a day for a minimum of 3 months, up to 6 months.  I put mine on every morning during my morning skin care routine, and every night after cleansing and moisturizing my face.  You can start applying Skinuva™ Scar 2 or 3 weeks after an operation or after your wound has started to scab over.  If you aren’t sure, ask your doctor.  It was a good four weeks after my grocery store parking lot incident before I started applying Skinuva™ Scar.

The top picture is my scar before the first application of Skinuva™ Scarand the bottom photo is the scar after 4 months of twice daily treatments.  What do you think?  I am pretty happy.  Four months ago people were commenting on the scar all the time.  Now, no one notices it, and I don’t have to cover it with makeup.  I think that Skinuva™ Scar really helped it heal and fade.  I definitely believe it looks much better than it would have looked without any treatment or with a regular silicone cream, which is what doctors typically recommend.

If you want to order Skinuva™ Scar, you can to go to the Skinuva website and order from there, or you can go to the Consumers page to find a physician in your area who sells Skinuva.  You don’t need a prescription, but it’s sold through doctor’s offices.  I also found it on Amazon.  There are different size bottles available.  The smaller size, which is what I have, is the 30gm or 1oz ($75) and it’s for small scars that are 6 inches or less.  Examples are eyelid surgery, breast augmentation, small dermatology procedures, and rhinoplasty surgery.  There is also a larger 50gm or 1.7oz size ($105) for larger scars that are greater than 6 inches, like for procedures such as facelift, breast reduction, and tummy tuck scars.

Whether your scar is from a planned surgery or from an embarrassing unplanned fall in the parking lot, Skinuva™ Scar is an awesome go-to for healing and fading away that scar.  – Lisa

  5. Oh my goodness! This looks great! I’m really impressed that the coloring (redness) dulled down. My scars tend to “bubble” up with texture, I wonder if this keeps that texture away?
