Microderma Mitt will change the way you exfoliate

Do you ever get excited about new skincare only to find that it sometimes isn’t what it’s been cracked up to be? It just might be that your skin hasn’t been properly prepped and that you need a change in doing that. We have been gifted three Microderma Mitts and think this just might be the solution to your problem. Microderma Mitts are used on their own to make sure your skin is looking smoother, younger and healthier. All you need with these mitts is water. Plain old H2O which doesn’t cost you anything extra.

There are 3 Mitts that we want you to know about – Face Mitt, Body Mitt, and Makeup Remover Mitt. The happy news with these mitts is that they are your new exfoliating tool. Here’s what the company has to say

Exfoliation is one of the most commonly overlooked and neglected aspects of vital and healthy-looking anti-aging skin care. It is one of the easiest and least expensive rituals you can add to your current skin care regimen, and brings about dramatic results for anyone – but especially those who have neglected this aspect of healthy skin in the past. The accumulation and buildup of trapped impurities and dirt due to lack of proper removal and exfoliation tends to leave skin looking dry, dull, rough and uneven. It also results in clogged pores and blemishes. Did you know that, at birth complete cell turnover takes approximately 2 weeks? But, by the time you are 50 years of age, the same process takes 4-6 weeks.

There is nothing abrasive about these mitts, they don’t contain chemicals and can be safely used prior to products without harm to your skin. They are 100% natural, hypoallergenic and Dermatologist recommended. Wash these in your sink, not your washing machine, after use.

MARCIA IS EXFOLIATING WITH THE FACE MITT

Microderma Mitt FACE

No bumpy skin for me. I think exfoliation is so important for our skin. I use a variety of tools to exfoliate and Microderma Mitt is the most gentle of all, totally portable, and sustainable since it’s just the mitt, water, and me.

Before using the Face Exfoliating Mitt make sure you wash it in the sink. It can be damp when you use it but your face should be dry. My favorite way to use this is in the shower. I consider my Microderma Mitt to be a morning tool. Your face needs to be clean and that’s how it is in the morning. I will often use a Micellar Water first if I can still feel my skincare on my face but then I dry it.

The composition of this mitt is interesting. The material is a floss silk and you can see and feel the gentle fibers. The first time I used it I didn’t think I was doing much for my skin but I was wrong about that. I notice that after use my skincare goes on much smoother. And the bonus is that where my skin is perpetually dry, it’s starting to become less so plus the ingrown hairs on my chin are lessened.

The benefits of this are many:

  • Helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, discoloration and other visible signs of aging
  • Stimulates collagen production, promotes healthier, smoother and younger skin
  • Helps prevent razor bumps and ingrown hair
  • Opens and cleans pores so they don’t get clogged with oil, dirt, soap, make-up or lotion
  • Helps treat and prevent blemishes, breakouts and acne

I’ve been using this twice a week although you can use it every other day if you prefer. While traveling is on hold for now this will be a perfect tool to add to my cosmetic kit when the time comes. It rolls up small, there’s no waste or anything to spill, and it will keep my skin on track to looking its best.

LISA IS EXFOLIATING WITH THE BODY MITT AND THE MAKEUP REMOVER MITT

I have been using the Body Mitt and the Makeup Remover Mitt, and it’s been great…especially since they both only require water!

The EXFOLIATING BODY MITT ($30.00 – $150.00) is a large mitt that exfoliates skin with floss silk fibers. It did shrink a bit after the first time I used it, but it still fits over my hand and wrist. If you have dry skin or keratosis pilaris you will wonder how you ever survived without this bad baby!  It takes off all that dead skin, as well as any dirt and grime that was trapped underneath, leaving you with the softest skin ever.

The MicrodermaMitt Exfoliating Body Mitt is not rough at all – however, there is another one called the Ultra Body Deep Exfoliating Mitt that is a little more aggressive if that’s what you need. I find that the regular Exfoliating Body Mitt is perfect for bump free skin, as well as skin free of dry scaly flakes. Did you know that soap, lotion, and body oils can get trapped under dead skin, causing all sorts of irritation? The Exfoliating Body Mitt deeps cleans so all of that buildup is washed down the drain. It’s the best right before faux tanning for a streak free tan. Plus it helps in so many other ways:

Stimulates collagen production, promoting healthier, smoother and younger looking skin
Removes and prevent keratosis pilaris (tiny bumps on back of arms, thighs and buttocks) to maintain bump free skin
Thoroughly removes previous sunless tanning products and delivers a more even sunless tan.
Helps maintain a longer lasting sunless tan
Helps prevent cellulite
Helps prevent razor bumps and ingrown hair
DERMATOLOGIST RECOMMENDED
Hypoallergenic

I use mine twice a week, getting my skin wet in the shower then stepping out of the water stream so I’m just catching steam. Slightly damp skin is best so that the mitt can form a gripping action. Then I tackle one body part at a time, using an upward and downward stroke. I have a shower brush that I use to get my back, just placing the mitt over top of it. Then I rinse off and after my shower I apply my body oil or lotion for fabulously soft skin. Simple and total genius. Who needs microdermabrasion when you have this??

I had read about the MAKEUP REMOVER MITT ($25.00 – $125.00) in a beauty mag – it must have been Vogue or  Allure – and I was positive it wouldn’t live up to the hype. I am happy to tell you I was wrong. The MicrodermaMitt Makeup Remover Mitt takes off every bit of my makeup, even my toughest waterproof mascara, and it does so without any soap at all making it the bomb for traveling. One Makeup Remover Mitt lasts for nine months of constant use.

It is so simple to use. I just get mine wet with warm water then use it like a washcloth. I use one side first, then flip it over and use the other side for a final cleansing of anything that I might have missed. After cleaning my face my Mitt is definitely dirty – all that makeup just transferred from my face to the mitt – so I rinse it out and then wash it with soap right in the sink. I use Mrs. Meyers Organic Liquid Hand Soap in Honeysuckle, but MicrodermaMitt recommends using their Denizia™ Natural Olive Oil Cleansing Bar. Or you can throw the mitt in the washing machine…just don’t use fabric softener or you’ll ruin the floss silk fibers!

I have never heard of these Microderma Mitts but after reading this review I want to try the Face Mitt. The Makeup Remover Mitt also sounds interesting – especially since it’s promised to remove all makeup and cleanse the skin with just water. I have to see if these are available here where I live.

Wow, that’s not what I was expecting them to look like! I would definitely like to try the body mitt and see if it helps with the bumps on my arms & legs.

I’m most interested in the body mitt. I use a towel to exfoliate and wash my body

I have had these used on me in Turkish/ Moroccan baths but didn’t know that we could be them for home use! I definitely need to get me a set!

I’d be interested in the body mitt. I had a Hamamm mitt once but it was too rough. I can tell just from your picture this is much gentler.

    This sounds really neat!

These both sound great. I actually don’t use anything currently for body exfoliation and I need to.
