Believe it or not, that’s me. Remember how I went to Renew Hair and Skin Center and got the Microcurrent Nonsurgical Facelift? Well, I loved the results so much I signed up for the Microcurrent Body Treatments.
Once again, Lisa Salaita is my aesthetician and she does an amazing job. The Microcurrent body treatments work under the same theory as the face lift did – the electrical currents retrain the muscles, tightening them and retraining them. In the body treatment process, you lose actual inches. I have had four treatment now – two a week – and I have lost a total of 2 inches from my waist and hips, but I haven’t lost any weight! Pretty amazing I think. Every time Lisa hooks me up, I get a different image. One time I feel like a car that needs its battery jumped, another time I feel like a puppet. Those electrodes make your muscles jump all over the place, it’s so funny. It doesn’t hurt, exactly…it starts off pretty easy, and then Lisa increases the level slowly throughout the half hour session. By the end it’s very strong, but it doesn’t hurt – if anything, it’s sort of like being tickled very vigorously.
I am having my stomach done (obviously!) and also my upper arms. But Lisa can do pretty much any body part that needs toning. Prices vary widely, depending on treatment packages, how many areas you have done, etc., so if you are interested call you local salon to see what the pricing is. I am doing the full six week treatment, and I will report back my final results once I am finished! – Lisa

This is too funny. I do these ems treatments (and also the ultrasound ems treatments and cold laser) on patients everyday for muscle injuries. A lot of people have lower intensity tens units at home also.
