Make your lips pop with Elevé Cosmetics Lip Pop Lip Gloss

I love a great lip gloss that makes my lips pop, and Elevé Cosmetics promises just that with their Lip Pop Lip Gloss. Have you heard of the Texas based Elevé Cosmetics? They are a super cute line that features nontoxic and vegan-based products. They say, “Elevé refers to a dance term used when rising up high onto the balls of your feet. As the name suggests, Elevé products have been created to inspire women to “rise up” and feel fabulous!”

I am always happy to rise up and feel fabulous with the help of some gorgeous lip gloss! Elevé Cosmetics Lip Pop Lip Glosses ($18-$20) are creamy, semi-sheer lip glosses that have lots of shine. I find that one swipe definitely does it, depositing enough color to give my lips a tint with shine and depth. The formula is very moisturizing without being sticky or greasy thanks to green tea extract, jojoba seed oil, and vitamin E. The wear time is normal for a lip gloss. There are 12 city-inspired shades with various formulas including pearlescent, sparkling, and super shine.

I tested three of the twelve shades available: Honolulu, Malibu, and New York City. Honolulu is a nude coral shimmer.

I really love Honolulu. It’s a warm shade that isn’t too brown, and the tiny shimmer does the job, making my thin lips look much thicker.

Malibu is a sheer intense pink with opal.

I am a big fan of pink lip gloss anyway, and the pearlescence of Malibu makes it a light pink that I can wear. My lips have basically NO pigment, so I sometimes struggle with nude pinks as they make me look like I have no lips at all. Malibu has enough depth to make it wearable alone, although I also love it over another color. My favorite trick is to pair this cool lip gloss with a warm shade, like a matte terra cotta.

New York City is a vibrant orange-red.

I was expecting New York City to be a bright cherry red, so I was surprised when I saw how much it pulled orange on me. Then I read the description and realized it pulls orange because…it is orangey! I don’t have anything like it in my collection, so it’s a very welcome addition.

Perhaps you’ve noticed that I haven’t mentioned the smell and taste of the Lip Pops. That’s because there is no smell or taste! The Elevé Cosmetics Lip Pop Lip Gloss is a beautiful lightweight gloss with a great, nonsticky slip. I am loving the pop these shades give my lips, and I am definitely feeling fabulous while wearing them! You can find Elevé Cosmetics online at – Lisa
