Love lavender? Korres Lavender Blossom Showergel, Body Butter, and Body Butter Spray

I have a love/hate relationship with lavender. I think it’s beautiful — I love the color; purple is my favorite. I love the health benefits, which include anti-inflammatory properties as well as the ability to ease anxiety, insomnia, and depression. I also love the fragrance…well, I love the fragrance sometimes. I often find lavender fragranced products to be overwhelming and perfumey. Some lavender products smell too sharp, too floral, or too soapy. That sort of lavender gives me a huge headache…it’s like old lady overload. Thankfully, several Korres body products that I have been testing are on my ‘Love’ side of lavender – Lavender Blossom Showergel ($23), Lavender Blossom Body Butter ($32), and Lavender Blossom Body Butter Spray ($36).

Korres Lavender Blossom Body Products

Here is Korres description of the Lavender Blossom scent:

Breezy scent of freshly cut lavender and citrus leaves. A natural lavender scent from top to end with notes of bergamot and spice gives freshness. A floral heart of jasmine and iris is supported by woodsy base of sandalwood and cedarwood rounded by vanilla.

Top: Lavender, bergamot, cardamom and nutmeg
Mid: Lavender, jasmine, iris and coriander
Base: Sandalwood, cedarwood, musk and vanilla

True lavender has a sort of cedar scent to it which makes it a clean scent that isn’t overly floral. Korres does this lavender right with the cedarwood base, and then keeps it from being too sharp with the addition of vanilla, jasmine, and musk. The end result is a gorgeous lavender scent that is clean, fresh, and beautiful.

Korres Lavender Blossom Showergel

Lavender Blossom Showergel  is a creamy-foam showergel that provides a lasting moisturizing effect using natural active ingredients. This hydrating cleanser helps to maintain the natural moisture level of the skin. These beautifully scented, creamy showergels contain emollients and humectants that provide a lasting moisturizing effect and help to maintain the natural moisture level of the skin, as if you have used a leave on product.

Here’s why you need these besides the fact that this would make an outstanding gift:

NO

Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Silicone, Parabens, Propylene Glycol, Ethanolamines, Phthalates,
Polycyclic Musks, or Animal Testing

Key ingredients:
– 5% organic Distillates Marshmallow & Everlasting: Skin smoothing and soothing, anti-inflammatory, with regenerating and antioxidant properties.
– Active Aloe: Rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and antioxidant enzymes, enhances the immune system of the skin. Its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis helps reduce the visible signs of ageing.

Korres Lavender Blossom Body Butter

Lavender Blossom Body Butter  is a very thick and creamy shea butter moisturizer.  The ingredients have what Korres calls their Elasti-Smooth(TM) Complex, a combination of shea butter, squalane, sunflower oil, almond oil and avocado oil; contains coconut and cassava (yuca)-derived emulsifiers and other key ingredients.  What that means for us is better skin elasticity, less crepey skin, and tons of hydration.

Korres Lavender Blossom Body Butter Spray

Lavender Blossom Body Butter Spray is a lighter weight body butter – this one is liquefied so you spray it on. It is readily absorbed, unlike the traditional Body Butter which takes a while to completely soak in. You still get the same moisturizing effect, just in a quicker fashion. The Body Butter Spray has crystallized shea butter, which makes it sprayable. Along with Provitamin B5, essential fatty acids, vitamins A, E, F and other emollients, the Body Butter Spray improves skin elasticity and gets rid of crepey skin, and since it absorbs quicker I think it’s a great option for hot summer months. Clinical studies show that it hydrates skin for up to 24 hours, a real bonus for those of us with dry skin. The two new scents available are Basil Mandarin and Lavender Blossom, both great options for summertime.

I found the Korres Lavender Blossom Showergel, Body Butter, and Body Butter Spray on HSN.com, and there are some great combo sets available. Right now it looks like the Body Butter Spray isn’t on the Korres website, and they don’t have the Lavender Blossom scented Showergel or Body Butter listed either. However, many of the Showergel scents are way on sale for $13.80 and the Body Butters are on sale for $19.20, both amazing deals.

There is a 4-Piece Lavender Blossom Age Defying Set ($40) on HSN that is an outstanding value – you get:

.68 fl. oz. Hydra-Repair Face Butter
8.45 fl. oz. Lavender Blossom Body Butter Spray
7.95 fl. oz. Lavender Blossom Smoothing Body Butter
13.53 fl. oz. Lavender Blossom Hydrating Shower Gel

That is fantastic set at an unreal price. Now is a great time to indulge your love of lavender!  – Lisa
