Doll 10 is a very interesting name for a cosmetics line. What does it mean? Doll 10 says that if you give them 10 minutes they will change the way you see yourself. They do this through clinically proven, cruelty-free beauty solutions that work and are easy to use. Doll 10’s motto is that life is chaotic – your makeup doesn’t need to be. Amen to that!
Lisa and Marcia take ten minutes to get #DolledUp using Doll Skin Anti-Stress Perfector Foundation and a Doll 10 mascara. Read on dolls and see if these are products that would be perfect for you!
Lisa’s DOLL 10 goodies:
Both Marcia and I tested the DOLL SKIN™ ANTI-STRESS SKIN PERFECTOR($38.00) although we each have different shades. This is a foundation that works for all skin types so it will be interesting to see if we each had the same experience. I have an oily t-zone and dry cheeks, plus lots of freckles and some hyperpigmentation. I prefer foundations with medium to full coverage because my skin tone needs a lot of evening out. Doll Skin is a combo foundation and skin care, so it gives the illusion of perfect skin while simultaneously working on creating perfect skin.
Doll 10 did a study and found some powerful results on the skin care side:
96% of women said my pores are less visible
96% of women said my skin looks smoother
92% of women said my skin looks clearer
92% of women said my skin looks soothed and revitalized
92% of women said my skin tone and texture appears improved
Those definitely sound like results that would lessen my stress! We always test skin care items for at least 30 days before reporting on them, and I haven’t used this foundation long enough to say what my long terms results are. However as a foundation it makes me very happy.
I love the airless pump container and the foundation has a lovely creamy texture that gives a beautiful satin finish. I find it to be medium coverage that easily becomes full coverage with a little layering. I use my Doll 10 Rotating Foundation Brush to apply – this is something I got in 2015 and I’ve used it ever since. Unfortunately it isn’t available anymore which is really too bad because it is the best brush for foundation application ever. My shade is light/medium, which I would say is definitely more on the medium side. Ultimately, this is a lovely foundation that I reach for all the time.
Doll10 has three mascaras and all are highly rated. Considering people tend to be pretty picky about their mascara, I think that’s quite a feat. My mascara is ILLEGALEYES MASCARA ($22.00) and according to the name, it should make my lashes so amazing they could be arrested. I would happily say lock me up to have lashes that great!
Illegaleyes is formulated to give lashes both length and curl – no wait, I’m sorry, unlawful length and criminal curl. It has a dual formula, one with marula oil and vitamin B3 for length, and the other with a special rice bran wax that creates a curling effect and locks the curl in place. The rice bran wax also gives lashes volume.
I have a lot of lashes, but they are fine and thin. While they are also quite long, without mascara I look like I don’t have any lashes at all. My lashes have absolutely no curl to them at all – they stick right straight out. I have to use a lash curler, which thankfully gives my lashes a curl that lasts all day. But finding the right mascara for my lashes is always a problem. Because my lashes are thin I want lots of volume. However if a mascara is too thick or heavy or if it clumps, then my lashes stick together and won’t hold that lash curler-created curl.
I have good news and bad news about Illegaleyes Mascara. The good news is that this is one terrific mascara! It gives my lashes the thickness they need without weighing them down. Illegaleyes is great for fanning my lashes out – they don’t clump together in four or five groups like they are prone to do with volumizing mascaras. Add to that lots of length and no smearing or flaking and we have a jail house rocking mascara! Nicely done, Doll 10. Oh, the bad news? It’s currently out of stock so you’ll need to put yourself on the email list to be notified once it’s back from mascara-land prison.
Marcia’s DOLL 10 goodies:
Both Lisa and I were sent DOLL SKIN so the main difference is the colors we were sent and our opinions of this foundation. But we each have a different mascara and even though they aren’t the same I think you’ll see that we are both happy with ours.
DOLL SKIN aka Anti-Stress Skin Perfector is mine in Fair. While I love the ingredients in the foundation the shade isn’t exactly Fair, it’s more of a medium, so I have to work with it carefully to get a good match. DOLL SKIN is a medium to full coverage on me. Since my skin is quite pale and neutral cool it’s often hard to find a good match that’s not too warm on me. I’d compare this to a light/medium shade in other brands.
The foundation is great at coverage and if you need that then this will be perfect for you. It’s heavier than most I wear but it still feels lightweight and doesn’t smother my skin. I use the smallest amount for my entire face. A little allows me to tone down the color so it looks more natural plus it has the lighter coverage I prefer. As you can see in Doll 10’s photo they like the fuller blending brush and I agree with that. While my brush has a smaller head it gives me that diffused look that I like so much. It works well with fingers but the brush is much better.
As far as ingredients go, you can see just how healthy they are from their photo
There’s quite obviously a lot more to DOLL SKIN than just superior coverage!
EFFORTLASH XL, Lash Expanding Mascara is terrific if you are looking for extra length which I always am in the market for. The brush has plastic bristles that are on the short side. The formula is a vitamin infused gel one. While I was quite unsure about this mascara when I first pulled out the wand, it sold me after the first use.
Doll 10 suggests it has volume and will help curl but on my short lashes what I find is length and separation. I need to curl my lashes first since they are so straight but once I apply about two coats my lashes appear longer and well-defined. I’ve had no clumping, nor flaking, nor smudging. That’s what I ask of a mascara and Effortlash XL has come through with flying colors.
Doll 10 has a great deal going on right now for Effortlash XL. It’s $24 regularly (a great price) but right now there’s a set for $29 that includes the mascara and 2 the Point Eyeliner in your choice of Noir or Mocha. Jump on this one!
