I’m happily ending 2018 and beginning 2019 with a new haircare brand that is a delight to use. OHC aka Organic Hair Care has been on my head and in my shower for the last month and I have found that I went from hating my hair to having it be my shining glory once again.
OHC is an independent brand that is created in the US for families using ingredients that the founder/creator is happy to have her own family use. “At Organic Hair Care, we create a synergy between science and nature, by offering safe, effective, and green beauty care. We ensure that harmful chemicals are kept out of our products.”
I was sent 2 oz sizes of three products and one 4 oz. These are the best way to try out the line especially when you are fussy about what goes on your head. Now I wish they’d sent me larger sizes since I don’t want to stop using the brand. I’ve got Quench Shampoo, Quench Conditioner, Amazon Oil Blow Out Spray, and Pomegranate & Ginger Shower Gel. While you don’t need to use the hair care products together they sure provide an extra special quality when you do so.
Quench Shampoo and Quench Conditioner work together to provide gentle yet effective cleansing of you hair and scalp. The ingredients in these two help to keep your color treated hair vibrant without fading. The list is long but wait until you read them so you’ll see what I mean.
Now anyone who’s read Beauty Info Zone knows that I’m fussy about fragrance. When we first started the blog I was in the midst of heavy duty migraines. Since then, knock on wood, I don’t fear migraines but my nose is so sensitive to fragrance that I am still fussy. These two have a light floral fragrance that dissipates very quickly. I never worry about the aroma when using OHC.
The star of OHC, Amazon Oil Blow Out Spray, is what makes me most excited about OHC. Not only has it cut the time it takes to blow dry my hair but it makes my hair shiny and fuller. It’s given me body that I thought my hair didn’t know about any more. But it’s not this huge out of control type of volume, just more bounce and fullness to my lackluster hair.
When these products arrived I starting using them the next morning. I was so tired of what had been my go-to line and needed a hair revival. I experimented the first few days by trying one at a time. When I got to the Amazon Oil Blow Out Spray I realized I had hit gold. It’s that good for my hair. It is created with a blend of lightweight oils from the Amazon. These protect hair from the heat we use on it, help smooth my hair while it adds shine. They say it nourishes troubled hair and I agree with that completely.
It’s lightweight but has the strength to protect my hair from humidity and thermal styling. I spray it in on damp hair on hair-washing day and use my Wet Brush to comb through. No snarls, just nice easy strokes to smooth my hair before blow drying. I can get through 2 days without retouching. Sometimes on day 3 I’ll apply it on dry hair in order to flat iron. This is meant for fine to medium hair.
There’s one last product that I was sent and I was sure I wasn’t going to like it. What an error on my part! Their Pomegranate & Ginger Shower Gel is incredible. The smell/taste of ginger turns my stomach but this doesn’t smell like ginger to me at all. I smell the tartness of pomegranate. It’s an invigorating shower gel that is creamy. Try it with a loofah or shower sponge and you need so little to create the suds you love.
All Organic Hair Care formulas have been developed to cleanse, strengthen and protect your hair, naturally: free of toxins, paraben free, completely vegan and 100% cruelty-free!
Impressed? Yes I totally am. I’m loving everything about these 4 products and I’ll be happy to replenish them when they are empty. I give a big shout out to this organic brand. — Marcia
