Le Metier de Beaute’ Le Cirque collection nail polishes

Le Metier de Beaute has clearly won my heart in the cosmetic game. I’ve written several reviews both here and on The Beauty Grapevine about this brand. Their newest collection, Le Cirque, has 4 stunning polishes that are a perfect complement to the eye Kaleidoscope. These are called the Le Belle Epoque collection. I was getting my nails done with “Magic at Dusk” and thinking about these 4 shades and I suddenly realized that they matched. I felt sort of like an idiot for not putting 2 and 2 together to get 4 but at least my calculations are correct now.

Le Metier has the tiniest bottles of nail polish you’ll ever see. I actually have a chance of using one up which is rare for me. The colors are amazing. I was playing with them at my nail appointment and my nail tech told me she thought the colors glowed from within. That’s an awfully big compliment from her since she’s so used to all the brands that are available. These shades are not only unique but they are complicated in their tones. Everyone was stopping to ask me what was being applied.

In my opinion Magic at Night is a polish that needs three coats for my long nails. I don’t think it’s the polish that makes three coats a necessity, I think it’s the brush. Because the bottle is small, the brush is small. The first coat went on unevenly but the second coat was beautiful and finished the look perfectly. Once I got home though I realized that I could see through my nails which is why I’ll request three coats the next time. If you have shorter nails than mine though two coats will probably do the trick for you.

Le Metier de Beaute Nail Lacquers are 3Free, meaning they are formulated without formaldehyde, toluene and DPB. They are fortified with strengthening proteins and hydrators. They last beautifully on my nails. I’ve got two pictures of me with the polish on. Magic at Dusk was used with Out the Door top coat which dried particularly fast; High Wire was used with Nubar’s Diamont top coat.

The shades in the Le Cirque collection are

  • Noble Passion – described as a blushing nude
  • High Wire – a “mysterious” platinum
  • Dynamique – deep red
  • Magic at Night – described as “the perfect sophisticated blue”. I see a touch of purple to this too depending on the light.

Here’s me wearing Noble Passion. Even though this is described as a mysterious platinum I see so many colors in it. On me it’s a pinky taupe but in some lights it appears totally different. I love that it changes around somewhat in tone. I only needed two coats with Noble Passion since it appeared thicker but it might have been that the lighter color didn’t streak much in the first coat.

My lovely MA at Neiman Marcus tells me she can’t keep the Le Metier polishes in stock. She says they fly out the door. After my experience with these little gems I think Kimberly might have to put some weights on these to keep them down and in stock. –Marcia
