ESQIDO Mink Lashes, a favorite of both celebrities as well as us common folk, are truly impressive false eyelashes. They make super sexy eye looks, yet they are more natural looking than most false eyelashes. Another bonus is I find ESQIDO lashes are remarkably easy to apply. Read on to the second half of the post for a quick 4 step tutorial on how to apply false eyelashes.
ESQIDO makes lash shopping fun and easy. There is a questionnaire for discovering the best styles for your personality and preferences, and there are two different lash kits available with best sellers or a trio of super glam lashes. They have fantastic before and after pics that are really helpful to visualize the exact drama level. I’ve tried quite a few of the styles over the years and I am always so impressed! ESQIDO recently added a whopping ten new styles, so there’s lots of excitement going on with this line.
I was recently sent two new styles of ESQIDO mink lashes to try: Radiance ($29) and Silhouette ($29). I also tried the Companion Eyelash Glue ($10), which is a latex-free eyelash glue. It’s white but it dries clear, and it is terrific! The glue is strong, easy to apply, dries totally clear and isn’t messy. If you place an order for lashes definitely include a tube of this.
Like all ESQIDO mink lashes these lashes have a cotton band that looks natural and is very comfortable to wear.Placement is so easy with these and even better you can use these beauties up to 25 times! They wear extremely well; just remember to press down on the outer edges to fully secure them.
Radiance makes eyes look larger and features a winged edge. The shape is similar to Unforgettable and the criss-cross pattern is similar to one of my other favorites, Oh So Sweet. It’s a great combination that gives just the right amount of drama. I used my daughter as my model and her eyes are smaller than mine. I really should have trimmed the lashes but I wanted to save them to use for myself! So that’s why they seem long on her…because they are. These lashes are so awesome there was no way I was going to share, even if she was nice enough to be my model. ESQIDO lashes are so fabulous they make you selfish.
Silhouette is less dramatic version of BFF, with a medium length and a criss-cross pattern. I think it does a beautiful job of adding natural looking volume to lashes. The cotton band is terrific, by the way – it just looks like eyeliner. If you are a little more hesitant to wear false eyelashes or really want some extra volume but don’t want it to be obvious, this is an excellent option.
There are eight other new styles to check out at ESQIDO.com so be sure to take a look – I know you will find something you will like! And don’t be intimidated by false lashes. They really are quite easy to apply and wear. Here is a quick guide to applying false eyelashes in four simple steps:
1. First gather up your supplies: headband, mirror, false eyelashes, steel palette, glue, brush, scissors, and black eyeshadow. Bend your eyelashes into a curve so they naturally lie correctly on the eye, then put them on without glue to determine fit. Snip off any excess from the outer corner – not the inner corner. (But remember…ESQIDO is so good it makes you selfish, so don’t plan on sharing those lashes with anyone!!)2. Put dollop of eyelash glue on a steel palette – I HIGHLY recommend the ESQIDO Companion Eyelash Glue. It’s the bomb. The Companion Eyelash Glue actually has a terrific applicator. If I use any other eyelash glue I like to use the throw-away plastic applicators that come in my Latisse set, although any brush or even the non-tweezer end of tweezers works fine too. Just dip it into the glue then spread on the false eyelash rim. If you are super talented, you can apply the glue right from the tube…but I am not that talented.
Don’t worry, the white glue dries clear. In fact, do NOT get black glue because it doesn’t dry clear and any stray glue becomes a very visible ‘oops’. Apply a little more glue to the outer edges of the lash to ensure a firm grip and no fly-away lashes.
3. Wait! Don’t apply the lashes immediately, you want the glue to dry a bit and become tacky. I gently blow on the glue for about ten seconds and then it’s good to go.
4. Apply to the base of your natural lash line, as close to your own lashes as possible. I used to get very frustrated because I have a ‘ledge’, so I would often end up with the dreaded gap and I used to take the lashes off and start over. Now, I just fill in any space with some dark black eyeshadow. I like Makeup Geek Pencil Brush and the black eyeshadow in my Kevyn Aucoin Palette #6.
My biggest tip: I find the best method to apply falsies is with my hair held back with a headband, my elbows on a table, looking down into a mirror. I just can’t do it sitting up straight! ESQIDO false lashes make such a difference – take a look:
Normally I wear lashes once then take my falsies off and throw them in the trash, but I treasure my ESQIDO beauties for fun, flirty lashes that I can use over and over. ESQIDO truly has a lash style for everyone, ranging from downright demure to completely shameless. Even if you are a false eyelash virgin, you will love these! Take the plunge and get yourself some beautifully enticing lashes. – Lisa
