Getting ready for a new year with Viva Glow Skincare

My 2019 New Year Resolution was more of a lifestyle change than an actual resolution. Of course in my mind I was determined to exercise, to lose weight, to get more sleep etc. We probably all have those goals in mind. But I wanted to promise myself to take the best care of my skin in 2019 and I’m sure I accomplished that.

I was able to use several amazing brands throughout the year and I’m ending 2019 with the opportunity to share the  Viva Glow products I was sent to test. You’ll want to start 2020 with Viva Glow to get your skin on track with healthier looking and feeling items. This is an organic, natural line that doesn’t contain parabens, artificial colors, phthlates, toxins, fillers and is non-GMO.

Viva Glow RENEWAL Anti-Aging Serum

As a huge fan of all serums I was most excited when Viva Glow RENEWAL Anti-Aging Serum ($36) showed up. All serums have their own personalities via the feel, fragrance, and density of them and that includes Renewal. Viva Glam created two serums and Renewal is their super hydrating one. Exactly what my dry skin craves.

Since Renewal Anti-Aging Serum is infused with honey I was a little concerned about the fragrance but that was quickly put to the side since this lovely serum is basically fragrance free. Honey is a natural emollient that helps with the healthier supple skin that this provides. Another important ingredient is Melissa Seed Oil (Melissa oil is a gentle yet potent fusion of calming, nurturing and vitality promoting properties). Melissa Seed Oil helps calm and condition while bumping up hydration.

Viva Glow RENEWAL Anti-Aging Serum

This light yellow product has a viscous consistency. It’s slightly sticky when alone on skin but dries quickly and meshes well with the moisturizers I’ve been using. Renewal Serum is wonderful to use both morning and night. The serum is exactly to my specifications and I love using it.

Viva Glow Skin Clearing Mask, Charcoal + Vitamin E

Viva Glow Skin Clearing Mask, Charcoal + Vitamin E ($32) is the other item I’ve used. This is a true charcoal mask that you apply with either your fingers or a cosmetic spatula. I have a silicone flat brush that was accrued with a different charcoal mask and I love using that for application. With long nails it’s easy for the charcoal mask to hide under my nails.

Now this does have a fragrance to it but it’s not an unusual one. If you’ve used a charcoal mask before you won’t be put off by the aroma. What you’ll find with this Skin Clearing Mask is that it’s a purifying mask that helps to create a clarified complexion. The mask is meant to draw out toxins and impurities and is especially good if you have blemishes and acne. What I find when I use this is that my pores look minimized for a few days.

The mask dries down in 15 minutes but it’s not too tight. You can still talk while it’s on. The goal of Skin Clearing Mask is to purify, soften, hydrate, and brighten. I have found all of these to be true except for maybe the brightening. I use the Renewal Serum right after washing the mask off and I think that’s what gives me the brightening.

Viva Glow Charcoal Mask

The mask washes off easily for me with a washcloth leaving no residue or sticky feeling behind. I feel refreshed and clean plus I love seeing the purity of my pores. The jar will last a long time but remember to tightly close it so that it doesn’t dry out.

   • Purify pores

   • Fights acne and blemishes

   • Contains anti-aging properties

Two great products from 2019 have helped me achieve the goals I set out to accomplish in this past year. Now onto 2020 where I expect even better skin. Thanks Viva Glow! You’ve got a great line of skincare.  —  Marcia
