bareMinerals has created a new collection of products that are just the breath of spring that we need right now. While it hasn’t been the harshest winter it’s still been gloomy, windy and cold. But with the Beauty of Nature products you’ll be glimpsing the future.samples, affliate links
The main product in this collection is the limited edition Natural Oasis Eyeshadow Palette. The packaging alone is worth the price of admission. The front of the palette is a 3D version of what spring will be sharing. It’s something you want on your vanity. But the true value is once you’ve opened the palette and seen what’s in store for you with 6 shades that are unlike the rest of your collection.
Sandy Beach: Shimmering Cream (shimmer)
Papaya: Creamy Papaya (matte)
Cabana: Terracotta Brown (matte)
Red Hibiscus: Red Copper (shimmer)
Shimmering Sunset: Warm Violet (shimmer)
Palm Leaf: Rich Palm Green (matte)
What makes this palette unique is that the shadows are jet-milled mineral pigment that contain botanical extract which “help nourish skin around the delicate eye area, Cucumber Extract and Caffeine help soothe skin’s appearance and Cold-Pressed Borage Oil moisturizes skin.” It’s not often that you hear about the ingredients in eyeshadows. The best though is that they apply smoothly, I can build them up, and they last through the day for me.
You don’t want to forget an eyeliner that is perfect for this palette, Beauty of Nature long-lasting pencil eyeliner in Agave, is that eyeliner. The unique desert shade works so well and isn’t like others you already have.
Two of bareMinerals Gen Nude Powder blushes have been repackaged for this collection. They are the same price ($24) at their site or at Ulta but Ulta doesn’t have the great packaging. Whichever you chose though both are winners. Call My Blush is described as a delicate pink mauve and That Peach Tho as a soft peachy pink. They feel like silk going on. The pigment is light but, depending on the brush you use, can be applied as a deeper tone. I have That Peach Tho and the blush feels great and lasts me through the day. It’s a delightful shade with the palette but also for my life.
Now to finish off your face you must have a lipstick so choosing a Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick that contains 19 vegan ingredients is perfect. Two shades are shown with the collection, Purpose and Memory, but you can also choose one of the 20 lipsticks (I love Grace). These are so soothing. The colors are lightweight and hydrating. The satin shades are inspired by by the healing powers of natural minerals, crystals and gemstones, with essence of Acai and Prickly Pear.
Purpose is described as a cool cranberry but I don’t think it’s as dark as a cranberry, it’s a softer red on me. Memory is a neutral rose that shows up with a peach undertone on my lips.
This is a collection that has piqued my interest and made me even more anxious for the weather to warm up. In the meantime I can satisfy that craving with these beautiful transition colors. — Marcia
