Not everyone wants to have a deep, dark tan – some just like a little color to even skin tone and create a more summery appearance. If you fall into that category, check out Fake Bake Platinum Face Tanner ($30).
All of my previous experiences with Fake Bake have been with their deeply darkening tanning products, so when they sent this product to test I wasn’t expecting subtle! The package comes with an airless pump of product as well as gloves to protect palms from accidental coloring.
The lotion is quite dark, so I was definitely expecting tons of color. The color guide is great, so you know exactly where you need more or less product. I got immediate gratification right after applying the faux tanner with a more even skin tone and skin about two shades darker.
The lotion is supposed to be removed one hour after application, although I often put it on at night and rinsed it off in the morning. The effect after washing off is definitely more subtle. As I continued to use the product for a few weeks, I realized that even with every day use, the tanner gives a very soft tan.
Those of you who are very fair will love this product. It gives just the right amount of color to create a healthy look without seeming artificial or too dark. Because it is formulated specifically for faces, it doesn’t collect in pores and has a wonderfully smooth finish. Another plus is this is an anti-aging skin care treatment with ingredients like Apple Stem Cell to repair and rejuvenate skin.
If you are looking for a subtle face tanner that does double duty as skin care. Fake Bake Platinum Face Tanner is a great product to try! – Lisa
