Baby, it’s cold outside. And even though we now know that losing almost half of our body heat through our heads is a myth, that 10% we do lose is still a huge factor. And let’s not forget about our feet…feet actually control body temperature. They release heat more quickly than any other body part, and since they don’t have a lot of muscle and aren’t surrounded by insulating fat, they cool down extremely quickly. We need to keep our head and our feet warm and comfy, and while we are at it why do it in style?
Tenth Street Hats is THE place to go for any hat need, from a boater hat to a floppy sun hat. They have hats for men and women, with many appropriate for anyone. I love the filters – you can search specifying shape, type, material, occasion, and color. They say they have ‘designer hats, made the old way, sold the new way.’ My pick for keeping my head covered in style this season is the Stetson Leather Safari Dreghorn ($105). Tenth Street Hats has a fabulous selection of leather hats, and the Dreghorn is as adorable as they come.
This beauty was designed by Stetson. The Dreghorn is total rock and roll with distressed genuine leather, a leather band with gold buckle, and a twill sweatband. I just love the leather safari look – everyone instantly looks cooler when they put this hat on, but it actually keeps your head nice and warm. It’s also one of the best styles to compliment my heart-shaped face.samples affiliate links

Temperatures are dropping faster than me untagging myself from a photo that makes me look fat, so don’t forget to keep your feet covered too! Feet need warmth, comfort, and style. Some of the very best footwear for cold weather fun comes from Arcopédico. I am especially thrilled with Arcopédico’s Lytech boots and shoes. Arcopédico introduced their Lytech material in 2011. It is an ultra-light lend of polyurethane and Lycra which results in a very light shoe. They are fabulous for travel because you can easily pack them (shoe pairs weigh as little as 10.9 oz), and all of the footwear in the Lytech line is BioCalce Certified, eco-friendly, vegan, water-resistant and biodegradable.
The style I like for this winter is Arcopédico’s Milan II ($145). This is a beautiful boot that can also be used as a slipper. It’s very versatile and looks great worn tall or folded for a kicky furry accent.
What is incredible about the Milan II is that it is super soft and has a very flexible upper, so it’s easy to pull on and off even if you have high insteps. I have the opposite problem – flat feet – so I need tons of support. Lucky for me, Arcopédico shoes feature two basic design principles: the “barefoot” upper, a soft, non-binding design that conforms to the top of the foot to allow circulation and all-day comfort, and the patented, metal-free twin arch-support soles (made from molded polyurethane), which protect the foot arch and allow the distribution of body weight through the entire plantar surface. That means that every foot, from the high arch to the non-existent arch are totally taken care of and feet feel amazing. Plus, the Lytech Line of shoes is made with a flexible, breathable, and naturally conforming material which is machine washable and water-resistant.
The Milan II is available in four different colors: Grey Knit, Black Knit, Black, and Brown. You can choose either the Lytech™ blend or else go with a techno elastic knit upper. Both styles have the soft, warm synthetic fur lining.
I had to specifically mention one particular Cyber Monday sale today – the incredible Cindy…December 2, 2019
