With the craziness of the holiday season I never got around to even looking at my December Boxycharm. Each Boxycharm has a theme and November was Goal Digger which you’ll soon see why. I received the January box, Boxy and Chill, which reminded me to pull out Nov. This review will show you the contents of each $21 box and the giveaway for Boxycharm items.
I have a feeling that some people are wondering why I even buy this subscription if I’m always doing giveaways with them. I wonder that too but it’s a treat for me with surprises to discover. And with Beauty Info Zone readers I know that nothing will go to waste.
COVERFX Glitter Drops in Nova which is — gold! “These ultra-concentrated drops of multi-dimensional glitter create a high impact, reflective finish that wows. Can be used alone, over or under makeup or mixed with moisturizer for face and body”. This is a full size products that sells for $44. (And this is just the first item in the box!).
This is a bold, striking eyeshadow palette with 4 shimmer shades and 4 mattes. “These eyeshadows were carefully milled and pressed to deliver intense pigmentation and easy blending”. ($24.99)
A set of 4 gold and sparkly eyeshadow brushes that would be great with the Ace Beauty Palette or any other. According to Boxycharm these are mini brushes but they are actually full size with smaller brush heads. It contains a Mini Tapered brush, Mini Flat Angled brush, Mini Round brush, and Mini Angled brush. ($21)
I’ve never quite seen a tweezers like this. It is a dual ended tweezers with a pointed side to tweeze the fine hairs and a flat angled side to remove coarser hair. It’s an ingenious design. They are black splattered with gold. ($12)
This is made from natural orange peel and gentle cleansers and has a spray top. It’s meant to clean, disinfect, and condition. ($12 for 2 fl oz size)
Total value of this box is $114. Now do you see why I subscribe?
BOXY AND CHILL
Now for January what do we have?
BRIOGEO Roscaro Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray (2 oz, $12). This is to help detangle your hair while protecting it against heat. It locks in moisture and helps diminish frizz. It is infused with rosehip, argan, and coconut oil.
OFRA LONG LASTING LIPSTICK
Ofra’s long lasting liquid lipstick in the shade Havana Nights. This is infused with Vitamin A and antioxidants and will last the day with minimal transfer. ($20)
TARTE RAINFOREST OF THE SEA HIGHLIGHTING EYESHADOW PALETTE, Volume III. ($36) I bought all three of these Tarte palettes and they are the only ones from Tarte that I’ve kept in my collection. I use the shades often because I like how reflective they are. Volume III contains 7 plush microshimmers and one matte nude. The shadows are enriched with Vitamin E and antioxidants to help hydrate and protect your lids.
TATCHA LUMINOUS DEWY SKIN FACE MASKS ($24 for the set of 2).”Nourish skin from within using this lightweight blend of rice germ oil, vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and highly concentrated botanical oils and extracts.” Now as a mask fan these are great for me.
BILLION DOLLAR BROWS UNIVERSAL BROW PENCIL ($18): This is a self sharpening pencil made to work with most eyebrow shades. With dark brown sparse eyebrows I usually have to press pretty hard to get the color to show but this will be nice in my collection as an extra. (On sale for $9 on Amazon now)
Total value of the January Boxy and Chill box is $110.
If you notice everything is full size which is Boxycharm’s promise.
