Don’t wash your hair! Try John Frieda Day Two Revival products instead

I dread hair washing days. It means so much time…washing, conditioning, then drying and styling. I much prefer nonwashing days and I get as many of those in as possible.  Which means I live and die by dry shampoo and great styling products that help me keep my hair looking refreshed and just as happy as day one hair!

John Frieda Day 2 Revival Curl Reset Spray and Dry Shampoo

John Frieda has a line of hair styling products called Day 2 Revival. I tested two of them – Day 2 Revival Dry Shampoo ($9.49) and Day 2 Revival Curl Reset Spray ($9.49). I was more than happy to refrain from washing on day 2…and day 3…and day 4 so I could tell you all about it!

John Frieda Day 2 Revival Dry Shampoo

John Frieda Day 2 Revival Dry Shampoo

The John Frieda Day 2 Revival Dry Shampoo is a light misting dry shampoo that has a slight white cast when first applied. It has a fine spray that isn’t too wet. I spray it on my hair in sections, concentrating at the root, and then clip my hair up and give it five minutes or so for the spray to absorb any dirt and oil. Day 2 Revival Dry Shampoo has a light, clean scent that doesn’t linger, but it does take away any odor your hair may have from sweating or oiliness, which is great. After five minutes, I unclip my hair and brush it out. The white cast is gone, and so is any oil and dirt. My hair looks fabulous on the second day – and the third, and the fourth! I love how this dry shampoo gives my hair texture and volume, and it doesn’t cake or flake even when using it day after day.  Winner winner for sure.

John Frieda Day 2 Revival Curl Reset Spray

The John Frieda Day 2 Revival Curl Reset Spray is a way to refresh curls after a day or more. Curls tend to lose their moisture and get crunchy, or you may sleep on them funny and have one side all crushed, or they just might need an overall refreshing. This spray is a combination of Acai and avocado dry oil that gets rid of any frizziness while at the same time adding softness and bounce to curls. It’s really best for those with naturally curly hair. My hair is wavy and I put curls in it. I found that a light spray was helpful, but I think the Wave Refresh Spray is probably more suited to my hair than this product.  However, if you have super curly hair this is going to be a huge help to you.

You can find John Frieda products in major drugstores and at Amazon. Do yourself a favor and save some precious time – don’t wash, try these instead! And definitely try them beyond day two!! – Lisa

  1. Day 2 for me is like freshly washed, lol. Now day 5 is a different story 😉 I don’t use dry shampoo, but I will keep this in mind for recommendations to others. I like JF products.

  2. I love JF and should definitely try this Curl Reset Spray!

  3. I have a love-hate relationship with dry shampoo. Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn’t even if it’s the same product. I try to wash my hair every other day or less often per my hairdresser’s advice.

  4. They both sound great!

  5. I do like JF products. I was a big fan of his brunette hair products. I used a lot of dry shampoo when my hair was blue, so I have a lot left over. But good to know this is an option!

  6. Cassandra D says

I would love to try Day 2 Revival Dry Shampoo.

  7. I am a fan of waiting as long as possible between wash days. Especially this time of year.

  8. I swear by dry shampoo!

  9. I totally dread hair washing days too. My hair takes so much work to dry and straighten that I like to go as long as I can between washes. These look like products I need to try. I love the name!

  10. 25 Sweetpeas says

I really do need to find a dry shampoo that smells really nice!

  11. I am a huge fan of John Frieda’s shampoo and conditioner duo for brunettes so I definitely need to check this out! Dry shampoo is my hero!

  12. This sounds really nice and I love me some dry shampoo. I have super fine hair so I try not to over wash, it gets stripped very easily. I’ll have to check these out!
