We’ve been fortunate to be able to learn more about the world of Osmosis Color. We’ve long known it is an excellent skincare line with many products that are not only organic but also oncology friendly. This is the first color brand we’ve reviewed that talks about being safe for people with oncology problems so we’re proud to be able to help you learn more about them.
Osmosis Color has a variety of cosmetics from face to eyes to lips. We love our Osmosis Water Color High Intensity Loose Shadows and get a lot of use out of these unique eyeshadows and now we are able to share 2 of the 8 Cashmere Matte Longwear Lipsticks that were sent to us.
These lipsticks are available for $22 each at SkinTrends.com. Choose from Brazilian Nut, First Kiss, Forget Me Not, Passion, Sassy, Show Stopper, Skinny Dip and Vintage.
Osmosis lipsticks are chock full of wonderful ingredients: Green Tea and Vitamin E as antioxidants, vegetable based Castor Oil for eco-friendly hydration, and it includes Silica to help affix the pigmentation so that there will be no feathering or smearing.
MARCIA’S LIPS: FIRST KISS
As many of our readers know I’m the light lipstick one of the group. Both Lisa and I have small lips, much to our dismay. I like a light lipstick with more drama on my eyes while my pal Lisa is the opposite. Therefore I chose First Kiss as my favorite and it’s a great shade for my taste. This is the lightest of the lipsticks and can run either pink or peach depending on your skin chemistry.
On me this is a pretty peach shade that has more pink in it than is shown in my photo (under poor lighting). It’s not often that I like a matte lipstick since they show every line but this doesn’t feel like a matte on. It’s not drying on my lips and applies smoothly and evenly. It does have a good life too. I’m a lip licker and scraper but even Osmosis First Kiss lasts through my many tics. It stays on me until I start eating a meal which is pretty amazing for me.
LISA’S LIPS: PASSION
This color is HOT HOT HOT. Makes me totally think of Buster Poindexter…anyone remember him??
Passion is a very passionate hot hot hot pink. This is a beautiful berry pink that isn’t neon, but it is a strong color. The Osmosis Cashmere Matte Longwear Lipsticks are aptly named – they are definitely matte and they are definitely long wearing. In fact, mine is so pigmented that I prefer to use a lip brush to apply.
Straight from the tube is just too much for my thin lips, although those of you with more in the lip department will probably find the straight application route just fine. For me, I need to blot a few times to get the color to a level my face can handle. And the whole time I wear this color I just can’t get that song out of my mind because I am feeling HOT HOT HOT!
