Derma E Facial Wipes do the trick

Derma E Hydrating Micellar Facial Wipes and Vitamin C Brightening Micellar Facial Wipes

I’ve been a fan of Derma E’s facial wipes, Hydrating Micellar Cleansing Wipes, for a while. Several of the blogs I read raved about the original wipes which contain hyaluronic acid and don’t have a fragrance so of course I bought them to try out and have continued to buy them.

Derma E has now come out with a second type of wipe and I’ve been even more excited about using these than the original. Vitamin C Brightening Micellar Wipes have everything I want in a wipe these days. I have been finding that Vitamin C is an excellent ingredient for my skin so I’m been thrilled that Derma E sent them my way.

Now it’s time to see which Derma E Micellar Wipe would fit your lifestyle best. Both are meant to do the same thing: cleanse your face of dirt and impurities as well as makeup. They both do a great job of that. Great news is that each wipe is 100% compostable and all outer packaging is 100% recyclable. Hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and sensitivity tested.

Derma E Hydrating Micellar Cleansing wipes come in a package of 25 and are $7.99 on their website and $6.07 on Amazon. The size of the actual wipe is a little smaller than the Vitamin C ones.

Why I’ve enjoyed using these is that the fragrance is very light, though not fragrance free. It’s just a fresh scent that doesn’t keep me up at night. The wipes are infused with Hyaluronic Acid to help condition, soften and smooth skin. As an HA afficionado that’s what attracted me to these one-step wipes. They also contain superfruit extracts Grape Seed and Maqui Berry that offer anti-oxidant protection. These are extremely soft and non-irritating.

Ingredients Purified Water, Betaine (Plant Derived), Ethylhexyl Stearate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Aristotelia Chinensis (Maqui Berry) Fruit Juice, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Carya Ovata (Shagbark Hickory) Bark Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Seed Oil, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate, Sorbitan Laurate, Dilauryl Citrate, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool.

Derma E Vitamin C Brightening Micellar Wipes contain 30 wipes for only $1 more. (Avoid the much higher price at Amazon.) These pre-moistened wipes contain micellar water which is one of my favorite cleaning agents. I like to use micellar water especially in the morning to remove last night’s skincare. The technology used gently lifts off the dirt and residue and leaves your skin properly balanced.

Derma E uses a stable form of Vitamin C that won’t evaporate or alter before absorbing into your skin, to work better for you. Anti-aging Probiotics and antioxidant-rich Rooibos help skin to appear brighter and replenished.

The difference between these two in use is that Vitamin C helps brighten your skin. If you have sun damage, sun spots or redness that’s not from rosacea you’ll enjoy the brightening effect that these have over time. The Vitamin C Brightening Micellar Wipes have a very refreshing light lemon smell. This isn’t a sweet lemon or an artificial one. The fragrance doesn’t linger at all either.

These are also enriched with:

Hyaluronic Acid also known as natures moisture magnet, delivers intense moisture, infusing skin with healthy hydration.

Grape Seed Extract helps to reduce free radical damage and keep skin hydrated for a soft, smooth texture.

Maqui Berry Extract is rich in antioxidants that help to reduce the signs of premature aging.

Licorice Extract and Vitamin B3

Ingredients: Purified Water, Polysorbate 20, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Sodium PCA, Niacinamide, Phytic Acid, Sorbitol, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Natural Fragrance Oils.

Many people are able to use these wipes for eye makeup removal but that’s not the case for me. It removes eyeshadow well but they aren’t wet enough to remove my mascara and eyeliner so I use a dedicated eye makeup remover instead. But the wipes do remove all traces of face makeup leaving no residue behind.

Derma E Vitamin C Brightening Micellar Wipes

While I like them both it’s the Derma E Vitamin C Brightening Micellar Wipes that I’m going to stick with after these two packages are empty. Which one do you think you’d like best?  —  Marcia

  1. Hi, Marcia – I’m so happy to learn about these amazing wipes! I have rosacea, for which I have a prescription cream, but I also need deep hydration and fading of spots. The dermatologist recommended hyaluronic acid and hydroquinone. I’ve been loving vitamin C oils because not only does vitamin. C brighten skin and fade spots, but it also clarifies. So it seems to me that the vitamin c wipes have the best of all worlds. I’m looking forward to trying them! Thanks – Angie,
