Cream blush obsession continues with Milk Makeup and Fenty Beauty

I obviously love cosmetic items and rave about just about every type but two obsessions are eyeshadow and cream blush. I drool over cream blush. I have a few powder blushes I love but the ones you’ll find me spending money on are always cream blushes.

I’m probably older than most of our readers and find that cream blush goes on softly and blends easily. I don’t have facial wrinkles so that’s not a worry but I do have dry skin and love that most cream blush doesn’t make more pores look bigger or my face look drier. I can get a gleam without shimmer which I find more flattering.

I’ve been on a MILK Makeup binge and was instantly attracted to their LIP + CHEEK tubes. The three I have are all the Mini Lip + Cheek and cost just $15. Considering I have a big collection of cream blush these are the perfect size for me. Throw it in my purse or keep it at my vanity! I never use up a cream blush so why spend $28 when I get the same thing for $15?

There’s a chance that you have this in Werk since it was part of the 2020 Birthday gift if you chose the option from Milk. They also had it as a gwp on Milk’s website. WERK looks muddy and boring in the tube but that’s a ruse since it’s beautiful once on.

WERK is described as a dusty rose, PERK as a coral, and RALLY is described as mauve. On my fair skin I find that Perk isn’t as dark as a coral and that Rally is more pink than mauve. Werk is one of those go-with-anything shades.

These are creamy and easy to apply. I usually just swipe the tube along my cheekbone and then blend with my finger. Like most cream blushes it doesn’t last the day but I get at least 6 hours from it and it’s not tacky at all.

Mango butter, peach nectar and avocado oil provide instant hydrating benefits and help color blend seamlessly into skin.

To continue my obsession I absolutely had to buy Fenty Beauty’s Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush. I forced myself to only buy one. At $20 each they aren’t expensive but it was just at the beginning of the pandemic and I was being cautious.

I went with PETAL POPPIN, the lightest shade, which is a soft baby pink. I love it and it was just what I was missing. This blush is easy to use and impossible to overdo in a lineup of shades designed to enhance every complexion with a youthful glow. Created by Rihanna, these shades are sheer, buildable, and melt into skin. The sweat- and water-resistant formula smooths over skin without feeling sticky or greasy.

The finish is light as air, it’s very natural looking on and isn’t the least bit sticky. Being cruelty-free and vegan make it even more irresistible and of course I want more shades.

I have Milk Makeup WERK and I love the shade and the ease of application. My only problem is that the color disappears on my dry skin after a fairly short while. Nevertheless I use it often anyway. I need to try the Fenty
