Coconut oil head to toe with COCOOIL from Australia

In my opinion, there are two items of PERFECTION that come from Australia.  At the top of my list:

Hugh Jackman.

Next on my list? COCOOIL.

COCOOIL Head to Toe Bundle

The Aussie line COCOOIL features the always amazing certified Fair Trade cold-pressed organic coconut oil. The coconut oil that COCOOIL uses is produced sustainably in the Pacific Islands and is ethically sourced, supporting local communities. They never test on animals, and every product is dermatologically tested and manufactured in Australia.

I have fallen in love with the Head-to-Toe Bundle, three products which cost $79.97 when purchased separately, but are sold for $49.99 in the bundle package. The Head to Toe Bundle includes:

COCOOIL Face Oil with Rosehip 200mL
COCOOIL Body Oil 200mL
COCOOIL Ocean Spray 200mL
Together with a Limited edition COCOOIL Tote!

Coconut oil is one of the very best skin care ingredients – it’s an amazing emollient that keeps moisture in and improves skin health. All of COCOOIL’s products also contain botanicals, which have natural antioxidants and nutrients that really make skin happy. The Head to Toe Bundle also has COCOOIL’s hair styling product that takes your hairdo straight to the beach. But let me first start with the Face Oil, a moisturizer specifically for facial skin.

The COCOOIL Face Oil with Rosehip (sold separately it’s $29.99) is a moisturizing oil that isn’t greasy, yet it is very emollient and hydrating. The base is Fairtrade cold-pressed organic Coconut Oil, with the addition of Rosa Canina Fruit Oil (Rosehip) which is a non-fragrant emollient plant oil that has antioxidant properties and is a rich source of skin-beneficial fatty acids. The Face Oil does many things for  your skin:

Brightens complexion.
Replenishes moisture, combats dryness.
Anti-ageing antioxidant properties.
Vitamin C and A, for cell regeneration.
Boosts skin radiance.
Helps reduce fine lines & hyperpigmentation.
Natural ingredients.
Ethically sourced and Fairtrade.
Cruelty-free and Vegan-friendly.
Ideal For: Dry skin, Dull Complexion.

Normally I am not a fan of scented facial moisturizers, but this one is incredible if you like coconut. It smells like deep, toasty coconut. Sooo good. You don’t need a lot, so after purchasing instead of tearing off the foil seal, just poke a hole in it. If you tear off the seal way too much oil comes out and it gets messy. I apply this to my face and neck every morning and night and if I have any very dry areas I will also top it off in the morning with some cream moisturizer.

The COCOOIL Body Oil (sold separately it costs $24.99) is a truly wonderful body moisturizer. I am a huge believer in body oils for maintaining soft, wrinkle-free skin, and this is one of the best ones I’ve tried. It’s basically the same formula as the Face Oil but without the Rosehip Oil, so it gives your body all the benefits of antioxidants and vitamin E with Fairtrade cold-pressed Organic Coconut Oil, Grape Seed Oil, and Sunflower Seed Oil.

Replenishes moisture, deeply hydrating.
Anti-ageing antioxidant properties.
Vitamin E, A, and fatty acids
Helps regenerate new skin cells.
Reduce skin redness and roughness.
Natural ingredients.
Ethically sourced and Fairtrade.
Cruelty-free and Vegan-friendly.

Just like with the Face Oil, be sure to poke a hole in the foil seal or else too much oil pours out. Interestingly, the scent of the Body Oil is not as ‘toasty’ as the Face Oil, but it still smells delicious. I put this on right after a shower for super hydration, being careful to use a small amount at a time. Going overboard means it takes too long to absorb and a small amount absolutely does the trick. It leaves my skin feeling incredible and smelling great for the entire day. Sometimes I put more on at night, but really that’s just because I love the scent – my skin is still moisturized from the morning.

The final product in the Head to Toe Bundle is COCOOIL’s hair product, COCOOIL Ocean Spray (sold separately costs $24.99).  Of course, the Ocean Spray is made with COCOOIL’s signature ingredient, Fairtrade cold-pressed organic Coconut Oil. Used on wet hair it gives me separated, beachy waves, the kind I get after I swim in the ocean. When I use it on dry hair it gives me texture and volume. In the photo below, I used it on my dry hair. I wish I had taken a before pic – this was day three hair and it was very flat without much body.

Cocooil Ocean Spray hair

COCOOIL OCEAN SPRAY is a great mix of ingredients, because while it has Australian Sea Salt to mimic the ocean, the coconut oil ensures that the spray won’t dry out your ends and hair stays healthy. It also smells lovely, like salted coconut.

You don’t have to go all the way to Australia to get your COCOOIL. It’s sold in the states at Forever 21, American Eagle, and Bed Bath & Beyond. If only we could also find Hugh Jackman there too…. – Lisa
