City Beauty Illuminating Dark Spot Corrector has changed my pigmentation

Do you have areas of concern that you just can’t seem to find a solution to? For me one of the biggest is sunspots on my face. I’ve tried a variety of products that helped but the spots always seemed to return to plague me. I was convinced that when I had IPL Treatments that the results of lightening the darker pigmentation on my very fair skin would last. My experience went well but it was very costly and didn’t last more than 6 months. (“IPL therapy is a type of non-ablative (fractional) laser treatment. Also known as a photofacial, IPL therapy stimulates collagen growth within the dermis. It usually requires multiple sessions.”)

I don’t always have a lot of faith in products that will lighten my dark spots. That said, I’m very impressed with City Beauty Illuminating Dark Spot Corrector. This silky serum has lightened my skin considerably. The two areas on my face that are the most noticeable are on my cheeks. Even with tinted windows in my car and wearing sunscreen religiously, there are times that those areas seem so dark to me.

My use of City Beauty Illuminating Dark Spot Corrector has changed that within a month’s time. The typical solution to this problem is the use of hydroquinone but that’s proven to be dangerous and isn’t allowed in the US as a safe ingredient. What City Beauty uses instead is alpha arbutin, a close cousin but not with the risks of hydroquinone.

Sadly for me, and possibly you, age spots happen on your hands, face and neck. They are due to an excess of melanin that is increased by sun exposure, hormones, and age. I don’t need to see those spots. I want a brighter and more radiant complexion like City Beauty targets with this concentrated serum.

The Before
And now After

To show you how much I like this, even the fragrance hasn’t prevented me from using this. I mostly use it in the morning right after I’ve brushed my teeth and washed my face. Then I apply the serum and let it absorb for a few minutes before starting more of my routine. With my social distancing I rarely even go beyond this step some days. The fragrance isn’t overwhelming, it’s a sweet almost floral aroma, but with my nose I am sensitive to it. It won’t stop me from continuing on with City Beauty Illuminating Dark Spot Corrector because I like what I see.

City Beauty is a cruelty-free company that doesn’t use parabens or sulfates. They have a 60 day guarantee so if you aren’t as happy as I am you can take advantage of that offer.  —  Marcia

Alpha Arbutin is a great melanin inhibitor and definitely safer than Hydroquinone! Another great alternative is Kojic Acid, in case you were looking for additional ingredients that deliver similar results.

Wow… The result is impressive ?? my mother has similar spots and I think she would love this serum.
