Bring on the pumpkin! MyChelle Incredible Pumpkin Peel and Pumpkin Renew Cream

MyChelle Incredible Pumpkin Peel and Pumpkin Renew Cream

With fall in full swing, it is time to bring on the pumpkin! Pumpkin isn’t just wonderful for your tummy, although I love my Pumpkin Spice Latte and pumpkin pie with tons of whipped cream. Hey, even the auto places are getting into the spirit of fall.

So with your tummy happy and your car even happier, why not make your skin joyous?  Pumpkin is one of the VERY best ingredients for skin care, did you know that? It has tons of antioxidants, like carotene, lutein, and cartenoid pigments. It also has vitamin E and linoleic acid, both of which help restore skin. And that beautiful pumpkin scent isn’t a chemical, so it doesn’t irritate skin. It is actually a plant that’s considered beneficial to skin. Plus the enzymes in pumpkin are excellent exfoliators. Mychelle has two lovely pumpkin based products in their line up – the Incredible Pumpkin Peel ($28) and the Pumpkin Renew Cream ($28).

MyChelle Incredible Pumpkin Peel

The Incredible Pumpkin Peel is a truly lovely pumpkin treatment that will definitely get you in the mood for some pumpkin pie…this smells sooo good! It’s a pumpkin puree that exfoliates dead skin cells and renews skin, leaving it feeling super soft and glowing. Just smooth it on and leave it for about five minutes, then rinse off. I do this twice a week.  It’s especially great if for some reason you fall asleep before washing your face and need a quick triage in the morning! I love this and will definitely be repurchasing. The packaging warns that it could feel tingly but it doesn’t for me; however, I do see the results and am impressed.

MyChelle Pumpkin Renew Cream

The Pumpkin Renew Cream is one of MyChelle’s highest rated moisturizers. It doesn’t have a discernible scent to me, so no pumpkin pie here – the pumpkin is all inside thanks to the Pumpkin Seed Oil along with Cloudberry Extract, which are both full of antioxidants. This is a lightweight moisturizer that makes skin soft and hydrated thanks to the Astaxanthin, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E. It doesn’t have any SPF, so if you use it for daytime you need to add that to your routine. I like to use it as a nighttime moisturizer and for day I use it on my neck and decolletage. It’s also a nice moisturizer to mix with a foundation that is too thick to help thin it out.

You really don’t need to wait for fall to add pumpkin to your skin care routine – it’s an amazing skin care ingredient. But hey, ’tis the season so if you haven’t done so, why not? Your skin will love you for it. Bring on the pumpkin!  – Lisa

  3. The Pumpkin Renewal Cream looks lush. Another brand had a lovely Pumpkin Enzyme Mask had to be used like the Incredible Peel, but owing to brainmelt after a long weekend and day, the name of the brand is on the tip of my tongue, where it is likely to remain.
