It’s been a while since I shared any of the BoxyCharm boxes with you. I’ve been a subscriber for a few years now and for the most part it’s been a great relationship. When I received my October box there were a few items I knew I wouldn’t use as well as some I will so one of you is going to share with me!
This month the box is called Candy Shop which makes sense for October. Some of these are super sweet too. I’ll start with the two items I’m keeping and then show you what you can win.
CIATE LONDON | NEW ENGLAND EDITOR PALETTE ($32.00)
I recently had my eye on a Pat McGrath eyeshadow palette because of the shimmering pinks in it but at $125 I just couldn’t bring myself to buy it even with a Sephora discount. When I opened this New England Editor Palette my eyes went right to some of the similar shades. As someone who wears glasses all the time I know that whatever I could do with Pat McGrath would be similar to what I can try with Ciate. For that reason it’s staying with me even if I end up just using it a few times because I’m so conservative. This is a good fall palette with rich, autumnal shades and a mix of metallic, glitter and matte.
SYMBIOSIS LONDON |TIGHTENING AND RESPLENDENT EYE MASK ($93)
No wonder I never heard of this brand. $93!!! And it’s not even that big. According to Boxy “A revolutionary innovation in the beauty market in the form of an eye mask in-cream to tighten, rejuvenate and brighten the delicate eye area. This eye mask is fortified with Hyaluronic Acid, Pullalan as well as she butter, and works to visibly reduce puffiness and the appearance of fine lines and dark circles.” Now I guess we’ll see if this deserves a follow-up review when/if it blows me away!
REAL HER | ULTIMATE GLOW GETTER TRIO ($28)
Of all the items in this giveaway this trio is my favorite. It has 3 beautiful shades in it so that you can blush, highlight and bronze/contour. I think the peach in this is fabulous but I don’t want to keep it just for this. I never use bronzer though I should start.
TARTE | MARACUJA MIRACLE MIST SETTING SPRAY ($23)
This is actually a great product – vegan with an ultra-fine supermist (according to Tarte) that’s made to effortlessly refresh skin and set makeup for 12 hours with a natural radiant finish. I have too many setting mists to keep this when I know someone else will love it.
SPONGELLE | CHERRY TONKA MUSK BODY WASH INFUSED BUTTER ($20)
This particular Spongelle was created with BoxyCharm so it’s more unique than the other beautiful Spongelle products. I find that their fragrances are too strong for me which is why Lisa will usually be the one to review the brand. Cherry Tonka Mask has extracts of yuzu, edelweiss and vetiver root. This cleanses, exfoliates, massages and hydrates skin.
BONUS ITEM: FENTY BEAUTY | KILLAWATT FOIL FREESTYLE HIGHLIGHTER PALETTE
When I decided to keep the Ciate palette I wanted something that was a stand out to take its place. This highlighter palette is just that. It’s stunning and will really make someone’s holiday looks stand out as only Rhianna could make it possible. The 7 shades are: Scandal’Ice, Chillz, Hunny Slope, Coppin Ice, Heart Burn, Subzero and Stone Cold. These shimmer with the best of them. It’s recommended for both eyes and cheeks and of course will look beautiful on your decollete too.
What do you think of this month’s BoxyCharm? Total value of what they included is a whopping $196 for the $25 of the box. Of course the Eye Mask is half that cost.
