Get your motor running with this Vivid Bright eyeshadow palette ($33) and you’ll leave the rest of the pack behind.
The twelve nickel size shades have 3 different textures using matte, duo-chrome, & metallic finishes. There’s no glitter to be seen but there is just enough shimmer in some of the shades to make them come to life.
Golden is a matte tan, Spotlight has a touch of gold in its beige base, Luminous is a beautiful pink duo-chrome.
Bold is a cross between teal and green. Lazer, is both a metallic and a duo-chrome that is actually a denimy gray. And Splash is a matte turquoise that is amazingly pigmented.
Attitude is perfectly named and is a cross between purple and and pink. Burnished is a matte coral while Beam is a metallic lemon-lime shade.
I love Lustrous which looks navy in the palette but is a denim blue on my eyes. Brilliant is a bright fuchsia matte. And last but not least is my favorite Graphite, a burnished gold metallic.
I’ve found that these absolutely need an eyeshadow primer. They don’t show well on me without one. But once that primer is on and dried I can use them wet or dry. It’s interesting for me to mix a bright shade as an accent with the hues I normally wear.
Bodyography has had Lip Lava Liquid Lipsticks for quite a while but now there are 6 more to add to your life. These are very bright colors that have a soft matte finish. Some have a metallic finish too. According to Bodyography they are 3x more pigmented than other liquid lipsticks on the market. I was sent Queen Bee and Free Spirit.
The Lip Lava Liquid Lipsticks ($19) apply like a gloss but dry down pretty quickly. They still feel a little moist though once dry which helps to keep them from puckering up lips. Queen Bee is a bright pink that’s almost neon and will look great with a tan. Free Spirit is a burgundy with some purple in it. They last a good amount of time and leave a stain behind.
If you want to be on trend then you’ve just met cosmetics that will get you there. Hot summer nights scream for these unique and bold shades. — Marcia
