Beauty with a purpose from Serendipity

Serendipity skincare

Do you ever wonder why or how a company got its name? I am testing a line named Serendipity and while I think the name is fabulous I was interested in knowing how it got that moniker. Turns out that the owner was serendipitously walking her dog Boo when she came across an abandoned dog tied to a tree without food or water. She rescued the dog (Bella) and thought about how much life happens by chance. She decided to leave her job in developing skincare products for other lines and create her own. Now she has Serendipity, a line that she takes great pride in while making ethical choices to benefit us all. As a dog lover I loved her story and wanted to know more about the brand.

  1. the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.
    “a fortunate stroke of serendipity”
    synonyms: (happy) chance, (happy) accident, fluke;

This is a five product line. Their purpose is to use simple but powerful ingredients like hyaluronic acid and rare botanical stem cells to help turn back the sands of time. Their products are made to repair skin damage and help to prevent problems before they start. Using natural ingredients is the core of Serendipity’s line.

Architect Redefining Face Serum – Containing stems cells from the rare Swiss Apple plant this targeted product reduces wrinkles and fine lines and leaves your skin looking and feeling younger.

Perfection Hyaluronic Face Cream – Restores crucial moisture and encourages growth of new collagen fibers, leaving your skin vibrant and giving you that youthful glow.

Serenade Repairing Night Cream – Fight back against aging with this refreshing, restorative cream containing extract from the Cotton Thistle Plant and oil from the fruit of the Palm Tree.

Gaze Eye Cream – Fights dark circles and puffiness giving your peepers a youthful, rested appearance.

?Sparkle Eye Serum – Specially created for the delicate skin around your eyes. Sparkle Eye Serum boosts collagen production, increases elasticity, firms skin and fights wrinkles.

Beside having some gorgeous packaging, both outer and inner, I was attracted to Perfection Hyaluronic Face Cream instantly. After all it has the word Hyaluronic in the name. This is a morning moisturizer but I’ve used it at night mostly. Now what’s going to surprise readers most is that this is a fragranced skincare line and I always talk about not wanting fragrance. I almost backed away from Serendipity when I used it the first time since there is a floral fragrance but it’s a fresh, not cloying one. I notice it for the first 30 minutes after I apply the moisturizer but then it’s gone. 30 minutes is longer than I’d choose but it’s a non-issue for me in the long run.

Serendipity Perfection Hyaluronic Face Cream

The moisturizer itself is very soft to the touch. It feels good on my face and absorbs quickly without being sticky at all. It plays well under makeup which is vital.

Serendipity Architect Rejuvenating Face Serum

Architect Rejuvenating Face Serum

There are a few reasons I like this face serum. I think the ingredients in it are top notch. It features stem cells cultivated from a rare Swiss apple, (Uttwiler Spatlauber) clinically proven to show extreme preservation qualities. It also uses seaweed extract to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The serum is said to help collagen proliferation and skin rejuvenation.

Every brand needs to have a pippete like Serendipity uses in their serum. When I push down the end I almost hear a click. It dispenses the perfect amount of serum each and every time. You can see that in my photo. That’s how much is released each time. It’s more than enough to use all over your face and neck.

Serendipity Architect Rejuvenating Face Serum

Serendipity Architect Rejuvenating Face Serum has a stronger fragrance than the moisturizer but seems to be lessened upon application of the Perfection Face Cream. It’s a little sticky but that too is lessened by the moisturizer. There’s a lot of science behind Architect which taught me that this serum helps collagen proliferation and overall rejuvenation.

From the website, 4 reasons to love this serum:

  • Helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines
  • Preserves longevity of skin stem cells
  • Delays senesance of essential cells
  • Preserves the vitality and youthful
    appearance of skin
