Be a Julep Maven with Julep Nail Polish

I have something new to get excited about each and every month. It’s the Julep Maven box by Julep Nails. I had first read about Julep Nail Polish and nail salons on Prime Beauty and was extremely interested in the line. When I read that they had a monthly club (Julep Maven) though that put me over the edge and I had to join. For $19.99 a month you receive over $50 worth of products.

So far I’ve received my introduction kit and it’s fabulous! It contains Julep Base Coat, 2 Julep Vernis nail colors, Julep Glycolic Hand Scrub and 2 small samples. I feel like a nail queen or a nail “maven” with these products.

When you go to sign up you take a cute little quiz to find out what your style is. It asks you your favorite nail colors for tips and toes and vacation, some style questions like what would you wear, and about your skin. It takes less than 5 minutes to find the “real” you. Your products are usually based on what you’ve chosen.

Julep nail polishes sell for $14 each. My box contains 2 polishes that are unique to the Julep Maven program. Alfre is a metallic blue based purple that might as well be named Marcia since it’s so perfect. Cameron is a stunning pink rose cream polish. These are both perfectomundo for either my toes or my fingers. These go on like a dream and fill in perfectly in two coats. They are formulated without toluene, formaldehyde and DBP and are cruelty free.

The Glycolic Hand Scrub sells for $32 and is called a “Facial for Hands”. There is enough in this 3 fl oz tube for 30 applications. If you had a professional glycolic hand scrub done it would cost you more than that for one time! The hand scrub has the most luscious orange fragrance (scented with orange oil). It contains a potent glycolic acid that’s combined with apricot seeds for a double exfoliation. It is paraben, sulfate and phthalate free. Using this several times a week has kept my hands looking smoother already. Watch this video by Jane, the founder of this company, to learn more about this scrub.

I’m so looking forward to next month’s box that will contain a new fall shade called Boris & Nicole, an autumn red brown; plus Julep Essential Cuticle Oil and their Everyday SPF hand cream. New hot nail color along with products that pamper my hands.

In addition to being a nail company that has fabulous products they are also philanthropic. $1 from each polish sale is donated to charities that help women. For August a special nail polish was created for Niecy Nash who picked 3 charities to help out (Define Your Pretty, Dress for Success and Girls, Inc).

Here’s their philosophy which I think is just so interesting:

From the beginning, Julep has been powered by girlfriends. Our girlfriends believed in us when we were just an idea, encouraged us through the challenges and connected us to amazing designers, architects, web developers, lawyers, editors and so many more inspiring professionals who, in turn, also became our beloved girlfriends.

To celebrate these unique roots and to continue to pay it forward, we are proud to donate $1 from the sale of every Julep Nail Vernis  to organizations that empower women. Please join us by going to our Facebook page  to learn more and vote each month for where our Powered by Girlfriends dollars should go.

At Julep, our mission is to ignite the spirit of engagement in women everywhere, and our Powered by Girlfriends initiative is an important part of bringing this mission to life.

I could go on and on about Julep Nails and Julep Maven but I’ll be back with more information and nail colors to share in the months to come. — Marcia

I love the idea of this monthly club. There’s no obligation to stay in it so if the products become too much or I don’t need more, I can easily get out of it. The nail polishes are such a great quality though that I am extra excited about them.

I wish we had the same thing in the UK. I have just started a blog in the UK with some beauty reviews plus rants about my first pregnancy! Would love any comments/feedback/support from fellow beauty addicts, bloggers. Great post btw

@pregnantcitygirl – I haven’t heard about anything specifically for nail polish sampling in the UK but I have heard of two different companies that are like birchbox here that have beauty samples – Glossybox & Boudoir Prive.

Great post! Just got my box, I love it.
