Are you a depotting fanatic? Do you have a ton of odd-shaped products – eyeshadows, blushes, highlighters – that are banging around your vanity drawer, wishing they had a clean, safe, gorgeous home?
If so, then you are just like me!! I dreamt of a palette that would hold any and all shapes of eyeshadows, from Nars squares ones to Armani large round ones. I dreamt of a palette with a clear window on top, so I could see exactly what I was reaching for. I dreamt of a palette wasn’t just functional, but stylish as well. And my dream actually came true.
Z Palette has exactly what a girl with a bunch of random sized cosmetics needs. And, they have just come out with new, pretty designs.
Here are my latest palettes:
Don’t you love the funky leopard pattern?? Of course, if you are not into patterns, you can go with basic black:
Or you can get a little more crazy with some zebra stripes:
What I love about these palettes is the open window. Hey, if I have a bunch of eyeshadows banging around in a drawer, I am going to leave them there – too much work to hunt around, opening them all, trying to find a good combo. But if I have them in a palette – especially one I can see into without opening – they will get tons of play time!
The small palette ($14.00) is great for your favorite combos, and it’s big enough to fit quite a few odd sizes. Here is one of mine:
This one is mostly Nars stuff – a highlighter, three eyeshadows, and then another brown eyeshadow of unknown origin. I have no idea what it is – but I like it – and now I use it all the time because it’s in my little palette. You can find testers pretty cheap on Ebay, and the only problem with them is they don’t have cases. Well, it isn’t a problem with Z Palettes – you can just pop them in and they stay, because they have metal backing and the bottom of the Z Palette is a magnet. Of course, if your tester or depot isn’t metal on the bottom, you can just add a magnet. Z Palette even sells them on their website, or you can get them at a craft store.
The larger palette ($20.00) is fabulous for collections, I think. Here is my Armani eyeshadow collection.
I had a bunch of Armani eyeshadow testers that were in plastic trays. So I heated them on my flat iron (with some wax paper over the iron) and popped them out. These are beautiful, big pans that won’t fit in any standard palette – but look how amazing they look in the Z Palette. (Yeah, minus the huge divots in a few of them…depotting is so easy, but I was especially impatient the day I did these, and I really messed up a few of them. Thank goodness the Armani shadows are such huge pans!!) I had a few in standard packaging, and it was just as easy to depot them. My poor Armani eyeshadows never got much play until I put them all in one palette. Now I reach for them all the time. Another thing I love about these palettes is that they stay CLOSED. They are easy enough to open, but if you take them on a trip, or throw the small palette into your purse, they won’t just pop open. They keep your shadows safe, clean, and organized.
Seriously, if you are a depotter, or if you have testers, or even just odd-shaped metal-backed products like blushes or whatever, you need a Z Palette. It’s an absolute must-have. – Lisa
