Nectar Bath Treats has the most amazing mask that you customize yourself with tons of options. So many, in fact, that there are a whopping 403,788 potential different masks that you can create. So fun!! You choose from 3 bases (Cream, Clay, Gel) and 24 different natural ingredient mix-ins to make a mask that is absolutely PERFECT for your unique skin. Not into the mad scientist thing? Nectar has your back with 9 different pre-selected kits. ($38 each)
The Smoothie Collection’s nine different pre-made masks include Matcha Booster, Sweet Berry Recovery Flare Relief, Tropical Glow, Soothing Oats, Cucumber Cooler, Balancing Superfood, Indulging Deep Clean, Hydration Surge, and Sweet Berry Recovery. Nectar has a survey you can take to determine which of the nine is the best for your skin.
If you want to make your own, let me tell you, it’s just a ton of fun! The hardest part is choosing the ingredients because everything sounds so wonderful. Here are all the options:
Additive Options (24 Total):
For my mask creation, I chose these ingredients: the cream base since my skin has been really dry lately; avocado powder for hydration and antioxidants; carrot powder to firm and even skin tone; coconut milk powder for the vitamin C and to improve elasticity; cranberry seed powder for exfoliation, a collagen boost, and all those amazing antioxidants; acai berry powder for firming and a ‘glowy’ complexion; and colloidal oatmeal powder to soothe and reduce any inflammation.
The kit comes with the base in a jar, all the selected ingredients in tiny jars, a mixer, and an application tool.
It was so easy to put together! You just dump all the additives into the base jar and mix. The mask is ready for use immediately. You put a nice, thick layer on clean skin using the application tool and relax for about 20 minutes. Then, rinse off with warm water.
I love love love my creation! My Nectar Bath Treats Mix-In Mask leaves my skin incredibly soft and supple. I’ve been using it twice and week and I think it’s my favorite mask ever. I am so intrigued with this whole concept – I can’t wait to create another one! Marcia also made a mask and she will be posting about hers soon, so stay tuned for more ideas.
