Lush always has mind-blowing treats, and this Halloween there are some fabulous goodies that are sweeter than candy – not to mention far less damaging to the hips and thighs. Here are four things I would much rather find in my treat bag than sugary, cavity-inducing sweets that I might as well just glue right to my butt, saving my body the time it takes for chocolate to join that cellulite party.
For a spooky shower, you need the Twilight Shower Gel ($9.95 – $27.95). This smells sooo yummy, it’s actually the same scent as the super popular Twilight Bath Bomb. It smells a little herbally, a little like lavender, and a little sweet. Plus it’s a delightful shimmery iridescent purple color.
Yes, get naked before you use this – it makes the experience that much better!! Have your honey scrub your back with it and share the shimmery Twilight together.
On a scarier note, you have to try the Calacas Shower Jelly ($4.95) – if you can find it!
This was a limited edition product made in honor of the Day of the Dead, and you can still find it in some stores. It’s like goop for grown ups – pour this out of the tub and it stays whole, and it’s actually in the shape of a skeleton face.
Calacas are the handmade skeletons from the Day of the Dead. It’s a little hard to see in photos, but in person you can definitely see the Calacas face.
This shower jelly smells DIVINE. It is the most beautiful, herbally, clean lime and neroli scent – I love it. And it’s perversely entertaining to rip the skeleton head apart and then soap up with the jelly….ok I am really, really weird. I admit it. But that’s the first step to recovery, right??
Now, if you want something that is even better than Pop Rocks, you have to try the Enchanting Citrus Sunset Bomb ($6.25). I love how it makes bath water change slowly from orange to pink to red, it’s like a magic trick. The fizziness is awesome, it’s like Alka Seltzer on steroids. And it smells fantastic. In the fall it makes me think of a gorgeous sunset during Indian Summer, it has the same neroli and lime scent as Calacas. Beautiful!!
For some true Halloween fun, you have got try out the bath bomb Jacko ($5.95). Not only is the shape and scent classic Halloween pumpkin, but it’s really creepy to watch this bubble and fizz out the eyes and mouth. Scary fun!! The scent is spicy pumpkin, and the bath water leaves your skin feeling super smooth but not smelling like food. It’s great stuff, and so entertaining.
Do something different this Halloween, and reward yourself with some cute, fun treats from Lush! – Lisa
