Mad about Monat! Rejuveniqe Oil, Rejuvabeads, and Color Enhance review

We’ve been told that once you start using MONAT hair products that it’s difficult to move on to another brand. We’ve found that to be true since both of the BIZ ladies are mad about our Monat products. Like all brands though there are hits and misses. We’re lucky that most of what we’ve tried has knocked it out of the park but there could be some that don’t work as well as others. Today we have new products that we were lucky enough to be sent by Lisa Eisensmith, an independent seller for Monat. She’s a pleasure to work with and we hope that you’ll work with her for your Monat needs. You won’t be sorry!

Monat haircare

In February I wrote about the three products that I had been using and totally loving from Monat: Monat Blow Out Cream, Revive Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner. I’m still using them and loving what they do to my hair. I had sampled Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive Treatment and was so thrilled with it and couldn’t wait to have more than just some samples. Luckily I now have a small bottle along with REJUVABEADSTM .

Monat Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

Get ready for some raves!  A quick review of why I love Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive Treatment  and highly recommend it. It’s very important to me that my hair looks good, I really have had lousy days when my hair is acting lousy too. I don’t consider myself that moody (though I used to be) but for some reason a bad hair day can make the whole day bad. Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive Treatment makes sure that doesn’t happen though. I’ve never tried anything on my hair that smoothed it out and made it shine so perfectly. Even when I’ve had a Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment my hair doesn’t look as good.

You can use Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive Treatment with any haircare you choose but the combination of it with the other MONAT hair products is killer. Not only does Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive Treatment work magic on my hair but it’s a multi-wonder! Use it in so many ways.

Monat Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! And you need so little that you just won’t believe how long the bottle will last!

Knowing that I was crazy about Oil Intensive I was thrilled when Monat’s LisaE wanted me to experience REJUVABEADSTM for my straightish hair. I’ve seen before and after pictures of people using Rejuvabeads and the results are amazing. If you have split ends then this is the solution for you. It tackles them head on and heals split ends and other damaged areas. I don’t see frizz or breakage when using this.

before and after from Haircare by Marley on pinterest

This may not be me (my hands don’t fit behind my head to take photos) but it’s what my hair looked like not long ago before I had Rejuveniqe in my possession again. Even my hairdresser was amazed when she saw the difference from my June appointment to my July appointment. Rejuvabeads had taken away the breakage and ugly frizz.

Rejuvabeads by Monat

Monat Rejuvabeads

I don’t need a straightening iron to get the smooth results. My hair falls into place and lasts. What I love too about these two products is that they are great for color-treated hair as well as chemically treated hair like a keratin treatment.

Last January I wrote about the Monat Renew Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner, two products that got major raves from me. My hair never looked so good – soft, pillowy waves that were healthy and happy! I was very sad when I got to the end of my product but I was happy to try something new – the Monat Colour Enhance Beautiful Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner ($72).

Monat Colour Enhance Beautiful Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner

Monat says, “Enhances brown and honey hues. Specially formulated with a complex blend of botanical actives and natural phytopigments derived from Horse Chestnut Seeds, Indian Walnut Leaves and exotic Peruvian Rhatany Root to boost lustrous brown highlights and beautifully enhance color. Perfect for daily use.”

Monat Colour Enhance Beautiful Brunette Conditioner

Normally shampoos and conditioners are clear or white so it was a shock for these to be brown! I was hoping that they would help cover my gray roots as they grew in, but that wasn’t the purpose of this system. Instead what it does is enhance the brown that is already there, giving it a richness and really bringing out the highlights.

I can’t say that I was as wowed by the Color Enhance shampoo and conditioner as I was by the Renew Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner. The Color Enhance products did a great job of making my color look fantastic, but I didn’t think it was nearly as good at improving the overall health of my hair as the Renew Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner were. I had a noticeable improvement in volume and softness with those, while with the Color Enhance I only saw improvement in my color. Bottom line – if you are happy with your hair but want more oomph in the color department, go for the Color Enhance products. If you are looking for an overall improvement in your hair, try some of the other great products that Monat has to offer.

You can find all of Monat’s products through Lisa Eisensmith, an independent seller for Monat – she will take excellent care of you and help you find exactly which Monat product is perfect for your hair!

Every day is a good hair day with Monat

Do you have hair goals? What do you want your hair to look like? What does it look like now and how can it be improved? I definitely have hair goals. I like soft, shiny, straight hair on me. I want swing. I want my hair to look healthy. And I want it to behave. If I’m not asking enough already I’ll also say that I want it to look good for several days so that I don’t have to wash it more than 2 – 3 times a week.

When I was sent some Monat haircare I thought it might be like other lines I’ve used but I’ve found it to be head and shoulders above anything I’ve tried. My hair is important to me. I’ve had past traumas which have caused me to lose the thickness that I had when I was young (and didn’t appreciate enough). Now my hair has enough thickness to it that I will not complain any more but I still only want to use the best products around.

Monat Blow Out Cream, Revive Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner

The way to buy Monat is through a representative. Lisa and I worked with Lisa Eisensmith who is an independent consultant. She was more than helpful and accommodating. The first thing I did was fill out her questionnaire so that she could assess what she felt was best for my hair type and hair goals. Then she made her suggestions. Being the expert I went with those and I can’t be happier. I told her I wanted no frizz, that I wanted shine, and that I wore my hair straight. She recommended Monat Blow Out Cream, Revive Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner.

Monat Revive Shampoo and Smoothing Deep Conditioner

Revive Shampoo is in the Volume line of products. The last time I used a volume shampoo all I wanted to do was come home from work and wash my hair again. It made my hair out of control. But Revive is the opposite of that. It gives me just enough body to volumize for that swingy hair I crave. It made me rethink every shampoo I’ve ever used. Not only does it gently cleanse my hair but it keeps it looking nicer for up to 4 days.

Monat Revive Shampoo

Monat gives a few hints about shampooing which are good to know. First make sure your hair is thoroughly wet first, this is something I do anyway but it’s a great reminder to us all. The shampoo is highly concentrated and you don’t need as much as you think. Second they recommend washing your hair twice. The first wash removes any product in your hair and any environmental damage. Since I don’t use much in the way of after products I haven’t always done this but it does give me longer lasting hair when I take the time to wash twice.

Smoothing Deep Conditioner isn’t the matching conditioner. Instead this is for “the ultimate hair control freak” which actually means all of us. This conditioner works on all hair types. It is meant to nourish hair, control frizz and add shine. Lisa E picked well since this meets my hair goals without weighing down my hair at all.

Monat Smoothing Deep Conditioner

It is recommended to leave the conditioner on your hair for five minutes after shampooing. I follow that rule and do all my other showering chores. By the time I’m done with my razor and shower gel it’s at least 5 minutes and I rinse until all is removed. My hair is instantly smooth in the shower.

Monat Blow Dry Cream and sample of Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

I use an Aquis hair towel once out of the shower and brush my teeth/take my vitamins. Then it’s on to Monat Blow Out Cream. I smooth about a quarter’s worth of the cream through my hair and I’m able to wet brush it to a smoothness so that I can blow dry. It truly gives me slip so that I can dry however I want. Usually I just go a bit wild and allow my hair to dry every which way and then use my John Frieda Hot Air Brush to give myself the look I want. It makes blow drying a dream. I don’t dread it anymore since I never have a single tangle and it takes so little time.

Monat Rejuveniqe Oil

I usually stop there but I’ve been using a sample of Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive on the ends of my hair and it is freaking me out. I plan on buying this since it’s a miracle product that is good not just for hair but also for your face, neck, hands and feet. Two drops of Rejuveniqe on the ends of my hair smooth my ends so that they never look bad. I have not gone near my flat iron since I started using it.

Lisa has written a review about her experience with Monat (and posted a picture with her gorgeous hair). We have totally different hair and different hair goals but we are both excited about Monat and are thrilled to have these products in our lives.  What are your hair goals? Monat can most likely make those dreams come true.  —  Marcia

Getting gorgeous with Monat Hair Care!

Monat Hair Care

I have always believed that great skin and great hair make for a great day. It is worth the time to look for the products that truly work for your body and your hair – YOU ARE WORTH IT!! Feeling good about yourself is empowering, and ultimately that’s what led me into blogging. The great hair I am experiencing while testing Monat Hair Care products reminds me of this – I was blessed with nice hair to begin with, but excellent products make a difference and turn my good hair into great hair which truly ups my confidence.

I have been using my Monat products for about 2 months now. I have been testing the Renew Shampoo ($35/$30), Smoothing Deep Conditioner ($47/$40), and The Champ Conditioning Dry Shampoo ($34/$29).

Monat Renew Shampoo

The Renew Shampoo is a very gentle shampoo that doesn’t have any salt or sulfates. It still gently foams, but it doesn’t strip color and it’s gentle enough to use on extensions. It really works on the scalp and actually promotes hair growth. Renew Shampoo makes hair stronger, thicker, and more hydrated, which means more shine and bounce. An interesting note – Monat directs you to wash twice. I always thought that this direction was included on shampoo bottles in order to encourage sales because you used more product, but with Renew Shampoo you don’t need much to begin with. The first shampoo removes any environmental buildup and the second shampoo lets your hair get the full benefits of the product. I am amazed at the difference in terms of how much hair I lose – I can tell just by how much less hair is in the shower drain!

Monat Smoothing Deep Conditioner

Monat Smoothing Deep Conditioner

I follow my shampoo with the Smoothing Deep Conditioner. The Smoothing Deep Conditioner is a very thick condition that is excellent for amping up the shine and toning down the frizz. I find it works best if I get as much moisture out of my hair as possible after shampooing before applying the conditioner. Even though this conditioner is super thick, it doesn’t weigh down my fine hair at all. My hair is lovely – soft, floaty, without any split ends or static, even in the winter dry indoor heat. It also helps protect hair from sun damage. I can’t believe the body and how well my hair holds a curl.

Monat The Champ Conditioning Dry Shampoo

Monat The Champ Conditioning Dry Shampoo

Another product I really recommend is The Champ Conditioning Dry Shampoo. This is one of the best dry shampoos I’ve ever used and wow, I have tried so many I can’t even begin to count! I live on dry shampoo. I work out five days a week and while I shower every day (I know, give me a medal, right?) no way am I going to take the time to wash my super long hair and style it every day. So I am best buddies with dry shampoo. But dry shampoo can be too wet, or too white, or too fragrant. The Champ is accurately named though – it’s a winner. The perfect absorbing ingredient is agrana rice starch, which banishes anything oily or greasy without being too wet or too white. I get a solid five days of great hair with my Monat hair care trio – it’s incredible!

Posing with my daughter and my Monat hair

So far, so GREAT with Monat for me. I am looking forward to the next month because I know it will only be getting better. There are also some very interesting styling products that I would love to try.  Head on over to the Monat website to take a look – there are incredible before and after photos from customers, along with the full product line. What looks interesting to you?  – Lisa

Monat Rejuvineqe Oil Intensive paves the way to beautiful hair and skin #rejuveniqe

Monat Rejuveniqe

Monat Rejuveniqe

*sample provided by iFabbo*

The best discovery I’ve made since I’ve been blogging is using oils for skin and hair. I honestly never thought I’d say that or think that. I always thought of oils as … well oily! If your hair or skin has oils how would it help to add more oil? But new technology has changed that and now the benefits of the types of oils available to us are amazing.

MONAT REJUVENIQE OIL INTENSIVE contains the best oils from around the world. It’s a combination of 11 different ingredients like vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, beta-carotene, omega-6 fatty acids, nutrients and amino acids;  all  beneficial for skin and hair.

Here is a list from Monat’s site to show what is in the product and why:

Abyssinian: The Key ingredient in Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive. From the crambe abyssinica plant native to central Africa, it’s a rare and unique combination of fatty acids prized for their ability to do everything from mimic the effects of silicon for unbeatable shine; lubricate the hair deep into the follicle; and protect and coat each strand.

Baobab: The renowned baobab trees have grown for centuries in the arid climates of India and Africa, and its exotic oil from the tree’s seeds are rich in antioxidant-rich palmitic acid and Vitamin F.

Buriti: The fruit of Africa’s Moriche palm – known as the Tree of Life – is one of the world’s richest sources of beta-carotene, which moisturizes and nourishes.

Camelia: Also known as tea-seed oil, it’s ultra-hydrating oil responsibly harvested from China that cleans the scalp and pampered dry stands thanks to its abundance of Vitamin E and polyphenols.

Carrot Seed: Specially sourced from the mountains of Switzerland, it’s rich in Vitamin A to condition the scalp, plus Alpha Linolenic Acid for anti-inflammatory protection.

Monoi: Selectively sourced from the warm tropics of Tahiti, it’s a restorative oil rich in Omega 3 and fatty acids to heal damage and promote growth from the root.

Meadowfoam: This oil is sourced right from the Pacific Northwest of the USA. Named for its flowers’ resemblance to white foam on the ocean, meadowfoam oil is another outstanding source of Omega 9 fatty acids for shine and sheen.

Moringa: Ancient Egyptians prized Moringa Oil for its nourishing properties, thanks to antioxidants and Vitamin E, which help combat skin fatigue, plus clean and purify the scalp.

Rejuvineqe Oil

Rejuvineqe Oil

Now that you know the essentials, let’s talk about this magnificent product. There are many ways you can use this oil. You can use it as a prewash hair treatment. Put it in your hair prior to washing and leave it in for a minute or so before you step in the shower. Another way is to use it as a styling treatment on your wet hair to help smooth and protect before you use your blowdryer. You can also use it on your dry hair to smooth and protect. It’s great for the ends of your hair if you use a small amount.

Rejuvineqe Oil Intensive by Monat isn’t just meant for hair; it’s also a treat for face and nails. It’s an intensive oil so a little drop will do you.

Rejuvineqe Oil Intensive top

Rejuvineqe Oil Intensive top

I love the packaging of it. It’s sealed well so air can’t get through to it. Unscrew the top, press the button and the vial fills with the oil. Then press the button again to get out the amount you want. A bonus for me is the wonderful citrus fragrance. Plus it’s a cruelty free brand that uses no parabens, salt, sulfates, artificial color, PEG or chemical fragrance. If you use a keratin product to straighten your hair then you really need to appreciate that it doesn’t use salt or sulfates.

This is an expensive treat at $99 but a little goes a long way. I’m careful to use every drop of it so I rub it into my hands after I use it on my hair. This elegant oil is one to put on your list of items you need in your life. — Marcia

It has lots of other ingredients that skin loves, like an anti-aging serum, peptides, niacinamide and hydrolyzed collagen. This is the most comfy lip gloss ever and I just can’t believe the finish…anything else I’ve worn with a mirror gloss is somewhat uncomfortable, but this is sooo nice. Amazing!
